You're actually not far off. But you better get back up to the ship and take some rest. After that, you might want to check out all that activity out to the east. We're picking up a lot of pirate movement.

Originally posted by Griff Morivan You could say that again. Well, Crateria revisted was actually very enjoyable. The ninja pirates seemed to be weaker verisons of the Norfair Ninja pirates right? They transformed quicker and didn't hide behind each other, plus their attacks were weaker. The only thing that was unexpected was......yeah, but he had to be put somewhere. Now to find the entrance to Maridia....and get some more expansions of course. First time I tried to get the Gravity suit, I missed the underwater part....and High Jump boots. And for those are STILL stuck in the Lost Caverns, here is a hint. |

This is a great hack, and I'm enjoying a good bit of it. I'm inevitably stuck, as most people are. I need to grab the power bombs, but even using the instructions that have been given here in the topic, I'm still quite lost. Can anyone give me specific directions on where to go? I have the varia suit and in Norfair.

Go explore DEEP in Norfair...
Also when you think you've hit a dead end or a worthless runthrough. Check again . In this kind of hack you're sure to have missed something. |

Originally posted by SGR Go as far east as you an go. You should be "stopped" by a gate. When your at a dead end in this hack, there's usually a goodie nearby. |

Drew, Drew, Drew... You ought to know by now that far enough east is west.

Bah, I always get my Easts and Wests mixed up. But he already did go far east as he can go at that point. The Ice Beam room or Grapple hall. Well, I got the Space Jump from Botwoon, who was actually hard due to the platforms in the room. Much more easier to use than it was in the original. I also got the Screw Attack in an unexpected to place where I expected to see a missile expansion. The Plasma beam is in Lower Norfair right? I think I could get it at this point as those purple pirates in Maridia are a bit tough. (Can only be damaged by Plasma. Recolored verisons of the pink pirates in the original.)

Screw Attack - The biggest definition of defying physics.
It's in a very large room in eastern Norfair. East. As in Japan is east of China. As in to the right. Because Drew will axe me. Good luck. |

Originally posted by Griff Morivan You mean because when using the Screw Attack, you start speeding? Well, I beat Ridley....because I wanted to get the Plasma before completing Mardia so I therefore also beated Draygon who is very easy to beat because there is a small a glitch where you can beat the battle without being touched by Draygon....At least with Plasma. |

OK, I got Ridly, got the plasma beam, the speciel item (Which, btw, ROCKS!) and all the gaurdiens except one in maridia. I got the one that is available after Ridley, and the one in the right side of Maridia. Can I have a basic hint where the last one is? top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right? cave or machine theme area? any hint will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, btw, what is the reason for the crateria flood? I'm finally glad SOMEONE else but me played Sigma Star. Almost no one knows who Psyme is. Those purple pirates in Maridia? You can hurt them after they do a flying kick and turn yellow. use a missle or charged shot. (edited by Drake on 09-04-06 01:00 AM) (edited by Drake on 09-04-06 01:18 AM) |

yes, after the storm all night long (yes if you didn't go back there is a night scene now) the rains build up caused pools of water to be collected.
as for the guardian I think you mean the area to the top left center of it. look around with the xray |

Originally posted by Drake No, no. Not the ones you first see in Crateria underwater. Not the Kung Fu ones. I'm talking about the ones that look like them but shoot beams. Can only be damaged by Screw Attack or Plasma beam. Well, I'm finally in Tourian. Some of the guardians were pretty hard to find. Some in Crateria and Maridia. I'm having quite a bit of trouble actually....any tips? |

yes, don't to barging through, take your time and be ready, Oh, and don't let a metroid get hold of you

Originally posted by Drewseph Don't to bargung? Is it even possible to get out of a Metroids grasp? Well I beat the game. 69.5% items collected. Motherbrain was still a bit easy but I don't think that can be changed. Even with only the Power suit. Also, those Metroids near the end of Tourian's escape sequence were evil. Nothing can damage them or freeze them, and the fact that you only had the Power suit. 25 minutes was a very long countdown. Yeah, I also saved the animals and they were just where I thought they were too. Right next to the Torizos room. My rating for this? A 10, easily. The only things I don't like are that for Norfair, you MUST know every little secret in the area to get anywhere. If it were like Maridia and southeastern crateria than Norfair could have been a little more enjoyable. Also, how exactly did you expand each room? I know you didn't add any right? Just expand them. |

I looked around, but cant find it. Is it near the 5 gate room?

Originally posted by Drake It is near the four gate room. You must open those gates. Hint, a couple rooms northeast from Botwoon is a normal straight room with some big platforms. Roll under them. Do it from there. If you need it that badly, I'll PM you a map. (edited by Deathbringer on 09-04-06 02:02 PM) |

I already opened all 4 gates, but it just led to a bomb uprade and a shortcut, and a start point to a speed booster puzzle that led to an E tank.
