I finally made it past the lost caverns! It took a while though. I am now in a different conundrum. I am in Maridia, but the way to the boss is blocked by a green locked gate, with the switch on the other side. Any suggestions? I'm about 2 squares left, and one down from the boss icon.

yes, your clue is THATS THE EXIT.
Why else would a green gate be facing away from you =) (edited by Drewseph on 08-31-06 12:05 AM) |

In regards of highest health? Lowest health? Quickest time?
I doubt many of us have bothered timing that excursion. Lowest HP, I was down to [00][00][00]01. Someone earlier, way earlier, said that it was extremely difficult with only the two tanks available. THEY DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A THIRD! So, I suppose highest health is technically [00][00][100]??, probably less than 05, I would imagine. But that person has the best record to date. |

Griff, thats just confusing =)
As for speedrunning, the best Linear time is 2:11, and the fastest Sequence break time is 1:40 |

-devours Drewseph, and winds up dying as a result, because Drewseph's diefication from SMR-
...ow... What I meant was that out of 399 health, I often made it with less than 10 health, many times with 1. Though one person in this thread stated they beat it with only 299. |

Impossible, since MB takes more than 3 tanks away in my hack, and to add to it, Hells Run requires 3 tanks minimum, its IMPOSSIBLE with 2

If you've beaten other entities that inhabit the ocean, maybe then you ought to look around places you've already been?

OK, I beat Draygon, and got the chozo statue that is in the left part of maridia. But I'm stumped on the other two. I know one must be past the four gates, but I havent found the fourth switch, or how to get to the gates. then theres one more chozo statue that I dont have a clue how to get to. Any help? Please?

yes, play the game and explore, thats how... everyone else here explored to find the answer, the answer is nearby for the gate, and after a certain time for the other

Originally posted by Drake I'm not enirely sure if I remember this correctly but I do know that when doing puzzles like this all you have to so is circle around the area many times while constantly looking at your map and eventually you'll find the secret entrance. Tough....Would be easier if I had the Space Jump but I'm pretty sure that's a 10 missile pack, just like that one near the Brinstar which looks like Maridia entrance. I'm also having trouble with the Wave Beam. Pretty sure that it in East Norfair or West Norfair. Just guide me on which side it is on. |

That room - You have about 2 seconds to get across before the block crumbles. It's the ease of cheese.
Wave beam - East Norfair. You're not far from it if I remember. It's actually fairly easy to see. >.> |

Originally posted by Drewseph Well at the time I wrote the message, I didn't realize that you can hold down to lower the beam....as when grappled onto a block. Otherwise, the statues will block you. Well, I did find the Wave Beam....I would have never found it if I hadn't noticed ground above the ceiling just next to the room where the elevator is.....and if I didn't have that X-ray scope too. I also got those Super Missiles next to the first elevator to Brinstar stuck in the Dynamo. THAT was hard shinesparking. At least getting the Spazer was easier....and much more powerful than it was in Super....and required no charging of the Shinespark. Are 93 missiles, 12 super missiles and 12 power bombs good? I've also noticed that I'm very good at Ibj as that missile tank above the first grapple pit on the way to the Grapple beam. That was also hard jumping. Anything I should look out for? I have a feeling Phantoon is near... EDIT: Got the High Jump....I would have never suspect to head back to an item room that I already visited. I guess I'm ready to get the Gravity suit huh?
