OMG I got it and got stuck at Ridley's hideout (thought it was front entrance....guess not), but here's the route I did in Maridia to get those damn dynamos out the way....I think I did it the wrong way though....lol. I do EVERYTHING the much harder way for some reason.....

OMG....the pics came in backwards so the first step is on the right go left in that order....jesus

I feel like an idiot, because I couldn't find the way to the Space Jump, so I destroyed those dynamos. Then charged a jump from there into the left room, Shinesparked straight up and landed on a ledge to the right that led me to Botwoon. That's kinda how I figured I did it wrong.....like I said, the hardest way possible.

Edit: I'm having a hard time finding the front entrance to Ridley's Hideout. I thought I found it but ended up back on an old path....

Your jumping is deceiving you, find another way to thrust yourself across. You already have what you need at that position. Use that noggin of yours. That specific area sucks too, simply because the solution is so simple it's mind boggling.

Dude the entrance to ridley's lair is so obvious... It's in the area you would think it's in

Well, it was in the area *I* thought it would be in...

omg!!! this hack is nuts. I'm stuck past the area where you bomb in east norfair to get to the grapple beam. I've fallen all the way down past a secret super bomb powerup and I've saved at the second save point. All other areas with grapple blocks and acid I've avoided as they seem to point in the wrong direction. I can get down to an area with a giant side hopper that breaks blocks along a hallway but I can't really figure out what to do next. Have I gone down too far or is there a puzzle in that room? At this point I'm completly stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Drew, so I just got the Space Jump, and am trying to make my way to Draygon. Unfortunately I seem to have hit a glitch. There's a room I'm trying to get up with the Space Jump, which is part underwater and part not. The problem is, I can Space Jump out of the water, but no higher. If I'm not in the water, the Space Jump simply doesn't respond. Is this something you fixed in a newer patch that I can find somewhere?

that has nothing to do with the water, you are in a sandfalls which is pushing you down faster than you can space jump in =)

Glad I decided to come back and check this forum today. This hack so far seems incredible, and I've been hyped about it since you first started.

Thank you, all who were a part of this. Super Metroid remains as probably my top favorite game of all time next to Link to the Past, and playing altered / new version of it at this quality is insanely awesome.

Drew, I applaud you for putting the Magmoor theme into your hack. It fits perfectly and is one of my favorite area themes from the metroid series. Your entire hack, as far as I have played it is both wonderful and evil. How you could keep such a difficult game so fun must have been very difficult, but I believe that everyone should try this hack out.

I'm looking for Ridley's hideout, and is it in the same area as the place with the Magmoor theme music. I thought so, but when I reached the end I was forced to speed boost out of a room before it filled with acid. I thought that you were immune to acid after you got the Varia suit.

Edit: nevermind, I can't believe I missed that.

Its been a while since I played the original Super Metroid so I can't remember if the Magmoor music is in it already. I just know that the music in lower Norfair is exactly the same as the Magmoor music in Metroid Prime.

That's how it's always been. They grabbed the music from that area in Super Metroid and they used it in Magmoor in Metroid Prime.

Yeah in Metroid Prime the Magmor Caverns we're loosly based off Norfair with Ridly's Hideout music from Super Metroid.

On the other hand Drewseph "did" however put at least on referanse to Metroid Prime in that one morphball bomb puzzle just right of the middle entrance to Norfair. And with the Morphball physics changed to match Metroid Prime it looked and felt just like the old game.

Although it was still as big a pain in the ass now as it was then.

I still can't find the rest of the Chozo Statues....I'm missing a few in Norfair and Brinstar.....I've searched for 4 days for these statues.....It's getting really annoying. Somebody should make a location faq for the statues.

I'm all up for a locations FAQ that Outbr3ak expressed about (something like that cannot concern me yet).

I feel guilty about using Infinite Life code in regards to part of the Hell's Run in Norfair only to the point where the enemies regenerate two areas to the right of the elevator entrance to Norfair from Brainstar (someone say what the enemy is? I'd be grateful). From the enemy spawn point and beyond, I turned off the code since I was able to get the third Energy Tank and the Ice Beam.

No offense, Drewseph, but to get through Norfair to the enemy spawning point is beyond my somewhat veteran abilities for this game. Good hack so far, but damn if it isn't too hard for me at that point in the game, not matter how hard I tried to save time. I'm not able to Infinite bomb jump, diagonal bomb jump, speedball, mochball, Blue suit or single wall jump that well, but thank goodness for the skills I already have.

Now enough digressing. I got the Varia Suit, but I am now stuck between the Ripper area in Brainstar, and in Norfair, I can't go beyond the lava filled room just below the room where the Ice Beam is located and the room above the Map Grid because I don't have Grapple Beam or Power Bombs. A direction of where to go next would really help me.

EDIT: I have used savestates, particulary for bomb jumping to get the third energy tank.
