I am, unforunately, stumped as to where the guardian here is. I've x-rayed everything I could, and rolled or jumped and morphed to everything I could to detect hidden passages, too... And I've come up with nothing. Well, nothing but that power bomb expansion. Mih. Edit: Ooooh. Haha. Right. There it is. I seem to have a knack for searching every inch of every room except where the things actually are. | I have been trying for the past hour but I cannot figure out how do do the shinespark, or specifically, the one where you store your speed boost and then activate it on a ramp allowing you to run further. The best I can do is I glide over the surface and ram into the nearest wall. I was able to do it in Fusion and Zero Mission but I am at a loss as to how it works in this game. | |||

| in SM all you did was glide over a slope, you could never charge it again like in MZM or fusion. However it was made possible for this hack, you need to hold a certain combination of 2 buttons while horizontal sparking in order to Spark Charge | |||

The one in the lower right, after the power bomb. The one towards the beginning of Ridley's Lair. Brinstar: The one past the spikes in the water room by Kraid's Lair. The one past the room with the super-jumping bird. |

| OMG....this hack is by far the best thing that could ever happen to the Metroid series! I've been waiting so long for the release of Metroid Prime 3 after completely domintating Metroid Prime 2! I'm about 2 1/2 hours into the game and just grabbing the Grappling Beam as I speak! This is by far the best thing I've seen in terms of gameplay, replay-ability, and layout-wise!!
By the way who was it that was asking for a video of someone doing the "mockball" glitch? I can quickly and easily make a 30 sec. clip or something of it if you guys really want me too.... (edited by TAxxOUTBR3AKxx on 05-23-06 01:33 AM) |

| ok, I've only started playing this last night so I'm fairly early in the game. I've got the wall-jump boots, 1 energy tank, 7 missiles, and the morph ball. Now, from reading the previous posts, the next place I'm supposed to go is a room full of acid in eastern Crateria somewhere but on the way, I can't seem to overcome a REALLY annoying obsticle.

| Well, I finally beat the game, and decided not to post anything till I finished, so I wouldn't try asking for help... and I have a few things to say...
- Drew, you are one psychopathic Japanese bastard, and I mean that in the nicest way possible... After playing it a bit, I had to let my friends play it too, while I laughed at their cursing... I mean, it's that funny... I mean, you have to be Japanese (j/k) or something, cause only they come out with something that hard, but tht much fun at the same time... I mean, come on, they invented DDR... and I think you did worse... or better... Love the game, though, I ran across a forum for your development over a year ago, and read about what you were doing, and I was impressed... yet I also read that you weren't even halfway through it yet... so I forgot about it... Three weeks ago, I got really, really bored... I was playing Super Metroid, and I remembered your forum... so, after a bit of searching, I found it, and found that it had been completed. I was pissed off in 10 minutes... and I was laughing my ass off... - 30 Seconds to escape the ship... Great for everyone who was expecting a minute, making them think "DAMN IT!" Took me three tries... -Finding the morphball... why did it take me 15 minutes to notice a block? -Looking through here, it seems a lot of people were upset about your placing of the Bombs, but I found those alright... -Hells run? Beautiful... took me 17 tries... -Laugh upons cursing... So now I guess I wanna speed run it, and I heard about the 2:11 video, and I couldn't find it anywhere... Ugh, but anyway... Beautiful, you had me cussing so badly I was laughing at myself, then at myfriends, then at the people who couldn't find anything, then kicked themselves when they did... But if you know where I could get a hold of that speed run video, I'd appreciate it... Thanks... Oh, shane to give you a hand, there's two ways to get over that...
