...but never will? Ever? In a million years? Because all the talented translators are rewriting RPGs to be stuffier and with less personality and more swear words?

Myself, I would be interested in translations of the Nintendo Wars series, pre-Advance Wars. I know there's one of Famicom Wars, but I'm really only interested in Super Famicom Wars. I might give it a try myself sometime, but I don't know Japanese, and knowing my luck it's probably all compressed madly.

What game would you like to see a translation of, but never will?

Rockboard. The guy who's been translating it has been taking years and years, and there's no end in sight. This is especially bad because there's some sort of unwritten rule or something that translators don't work on games that are already in the process of translation. What this means is that we'll probably not see a translation of this game for at least 5 years, or something ridiculous like that, if we ever see one at all. I find this to be very disappointing.

Edit: Here's the page, for those interested. The project was started 5 and a half years ago and is only 18% done! If he's going to take that long with his translation, I think someone else should be allowed to make a competing translation of the game and actually finish it. *sigh*

I was real interested in that game, rockboard, dr wily/light that's paradise! (something like that)

I played it about a month ago and it seemed pretty interesting, kinda like monopoly but megaman style.

Couldn't really do much since I can't read japanese.

about 75% of all the anime games from japan for many systems
Bobobobobobobo-I've only seen one, it might come out but I doubt it strongly.... I really don't check to see if games come out...
Inuyasha-there are a lot of games for this series (I'm not sure which have and haven't come out here)
keroro gunso- well... it would be hard to translate a DS or PS2 game I suppose O_o
eh just about any anime game that isn't in america... It's a shame really, most of these games are 99% better then some crap they bring out here....

Naruto RPG: Uketsugareshi Hi no Ishi. By all accounts, it's supposed to be a kickass RPG with good graphics, system, ect. Actually, I do believe that someone was working on a translation for it way back when, but it was reported to be very partially done and I've never been able to find an IPS. Needless to say, this game's much better then that piece of crap Ninja Council.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a complete translation of Super Robot Taisen Alpha. At this point Rai's holding the torch of translation, and as far as I can tell is actually working on it. But he leaves no means of contact on the romhacking.net forums, and his last post was in March. The other two translations of SRTA that were being done were both dropped. T_T

I'd like to see a translation of Final Fantasy for Sega Genesis. Tony Hedstrom was working on a translation of the games menus but he gave up before it was finished. It looks like a cool game and I'd like to see a translation of some sort. Even if it was just the menus.

I'm willing to try translating something as long as all I have to do is translate, since I have absolutely no clue about how to rip text, mess with tables, and reinsert it...

Just a random note that may or may not be off-topic.

Yo u know theres an GB version of that in english? anyways, I wouldn't mind seeing Tokimeki Memorial translated (as a certain pink moderator keeps raving about it and it sounds like a fun enough concept...). In addition to that, nothing really.

RPG Tsukuru Advance, it's by-far the best of the console RPG Maker games, and it's portable. Agetec is retarded for not bringing this one over when the opportunity arose, really...

There's some light at the end of the tunnel for that game. KylelotuS made an ad on Romhacking dot net lookin for people to insert the text.

srothroc, nows your chance. Googie just put up a link for Romnation.net and on the right it says they are looking for translators for Ganbare Goemon 2. This is brand new cause I know I've looked for this before.

This has made my freakin night.

Panel De Pon. I'd be happy just to find a script dump. Few hacks, let alone translations are made for puzzle games. The US entries in this series were pretty much cash-ins (SNES version released alongside Super Mario 64 anyone?). Nintendo even announced their GC one for outside Japan, but nothing other than an English title logo has been shown.

I would like to see a Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi (NES) and Fire Emblem: Monshô no Nazo (SNES) translation. Each of these has Marth (SSBM) in them and I want to know more about his story and game to see why he belongs in SSBM.

I would love to see translations of Namco's Star Wars game for the NES (although the plot is generally the same as Episode IV), Mario's Picross 2, Mario's Super Picross, Yoshi no Kuruppon - Oven de Cookie, and Wrecking Crew '98.

I'm with Link2006 on this I want to see at least "one" Fire Emblem game translated but the only ones I've seen the most being 25% doce and ignores for two years .

But personally I'd like to see Fire Emblem 6 translated the one that Roy stars in. To my beleif it was supposed to come to America but was canceled or something. I'd really like to know some more backstory on him than SSBM gives out.
