The fact that your name is 'Chickenlump' makes what happened to you very ironic.

But yeah. It's happened to me before. And it's not very tasty.

The last two nights were pizza. Not ordered, but homemade which is much more... how can I put this... healthy.

Tomorrow could have been a BBQ or something for Mother's Day, but the weather... will not cooperate it seems. So I'm on record as saying tomorrow will LIKELY be Chinese food.

Last night was Subway (I'm addicted to subway), tonight will be dinner at an Indian Restaurant. I'm getting the hottest, spiciest plate of curry they can throw at me.

I hope it's a paper plate...

I haven't seen a single Indian resteraunt here in Indiana in my 27 years.

The town I live in does however, have 4 Subways.

Dammit, I want Indian so bad now.

Oh well, I have leftover homemade fried rice and chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup so I had better eat that.

The chicken and sweetcorn soup still didn't turn out right, I think my problem is somewhere in the whole chicken stock thing. Last time the stock was too salty, this time... I'm not sure what exactly was wrong this time, but it was wrong... tasty, but wrong.

The fried rice was good though. But it's probably a little tricky to mess fried rice up.

My mom cooks indian food a lot, because my stepdad and I love it, but I've never had authentic indian food from an indian restaurant. I can't wait to see how much better it tastes and how hot I can handle it.

Curry chicken + white rice = A very very happy danielle.

I had a pretty plain dinner but it is also my all time favorite.

White rice and Chicken.

Nothing really special about it though.

I think you're the only person to have that meal more than I do, Thoughtless.

Though, in a way, my curry and rice IS chicken and rice. With some flavaz.

Last nights dinner...
Pasta. Mum makes the sauce and I cook the pata on the stove. Having an Italian background, I eat pasta a lot. And lasagna, gnochi, soup and chicken.

Today we had a dish called "Arabic Beef". I cannot tell you what it actually is, since this is a family secret.

As for why it is called just that.. I have no idea. You'd have to ask my grandmother, as she's the one that came up with it.

So tonight was indeed Chinese.

It's strange. I don't particularly like most facets of Canadian-style Chinese food, so I stick to two staples. They are:

- Fried rice + plum sauce. You cannot go wrong with this combo. The fried rice also has little bits of chicken in it, which is nice even though you hardly notice it.
- Chicken Soo Gay + cherry sauce. The batter on the chicken is probably very fattening but it's very good, and then you add one of the sweetest substances known to man in the form of the cherry sauce... *drools*

Well, I did some research and found a recipe for that Red Beans and Rice thing, so I added it to my private wiki (I collect recipes on there).

Oh and I ate Nachos last night. Taryn's special dodgy 5 minute slacker nachos.

They were good. Cheeeeeeesy.

Brown some mince, add some refried beans and some salsa, mix it all up, plonk it on a plate full of corn chips, put cheese all over it, whack it in the oven till the cheese melts and then put a big fat dollop of sour cream on top.

Very bad. But so goooooooooood

My thoughts while at college. I've always been a fan of my Mom's cooking who cooks like all styles, but especially Indian. (we are after all, an Indian family) But I never missed it as much as I did at college.

Last night I had leftover aloo gosht salaan(with roti of course) and leftover chicken bell pepper awesome dish. (one of her originals)

That reminds me...What about the chicken salaan she was making..I wonder.

I find it worrying that the Chinese place gave us enough fried rice to last us three days.

Sunday - Chinese.
Monday - Leftovers from Sunday.
Tuesday - Hamburger steak with bread/butter pickles... AND FRIED RICE.

If mom makes rice to go with supper tomorrow, I'll scream. (And I LIKE rice, just not 3 days in a row.)

Leftovers from my grandma's house... Yummy. Broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, barbeque chicken. Great stuff.

Of course, most of my meals qualify as "Whatever I microwave", so... it's definitely a bit different.
