| Now I don't know if anything like this has ever been done on this community, but a couple of communities that I have been on or administrated in the past had special events where "awards" would be given to some of the members. Since this version of the board is relatively new, many of you may not find the idea so interesting. I'll give the idea to all of you anyway.
The community award event puts certain members on the spotlight for good efforts (or sometimes bad things). Here are some examples from what I have seen in past board communities or awards that I have come up with for this board (note that there should be a "showcase" section labelling past winners): Most Constructive Poster Award (awarded to the best helper) Smart Member Award (awarded to a member that shows great knowledge) Best Hacks Award (awarded to a member that has created the most popular game hacks) Hottest M/F Member Award (I don't really like this one but you can guess what this one means. Use the Photo Album to tell) Star Member Award (awarded to a member that has exp And so on. Some of the boards I've been on had up to 100 different awards... I think even more than that. Who finds this interesting? If you do, post some of your own ideas for awards (try to be sensible. Some funny ones are allowed, of course, but don't create anything too stupid). I would also like some critic on this from a staff member on whether or not this should be done. Edit: Note that these events are periodic. Such as bi-monthly or annually. | There is the acmlm mosts. which is every winter and summer then there is also the annual hack awards for the hackers out there. Check the display case of the old board to see threads of the acmlm mosts. | |||
