The tropical island was in the middle of nowhere, just to be safe, and was a few miles or so both long and wide at its largest points, though the shore was anything but even. A large, craggy mountain face stood tall on the north side of the island, with a dense forest on it that extended over much of the island, but thinned out quite a bit a little ways from the mountain. A small stream flowed down the center to the ocean, carrying cold, clean water. The beach dominated the southern part of the island, though a somewhat more narrow strip surrounded the rest. No animals resided on the island, except for a few seagulls standing on the shore, though all kinds of plants filled this tropical paradise. The sun glared overhead, bathing the beautiful island in golden light. Various rocks and small hills were scattered over the island, with the ground of most of the island a mixture of sand and earth with patches of grass here and there. The sand began to stir up into a whirlwind, and with a flash the figure of Sky stood tall as the wind whipped his cloak about. The challenge had been sent out, and he hoped for a good opponent.

(Also, in your accepting the challenge either make the first move or say you'd rather not go first; either way, make an entrance)

William rushed through the shoreline to reach a new opponent nearby. Something strange was wrong though. William was in silver clothes, slightly covered with glossy black vines. The bottoms of William's clothes looked like black flames on the silver coloring. His weapon, too, looked different. Instead of it being orange, it was a silver color as well, with the same type of vines encircling the thorns on the sword. The primary thing that could easily identify what was wrong with him could be the sign on his sleeves, which was similar to that of an upside down heart with some appendages sticking out of the top of it. Only intelligent people who know a lot about evil forces or whatnot would know about it.

He stopped running when he was a few feet away from Sky. He clinched onto his sword.
"You must be my foe. Well, then. Let's see what someone like you can do. Maybe you could prove to be-- to me alone-- useful."

Why was William different than he normally was? It was a mystery soon to be solved.

(OOC: I think you might get it already. )

((I'm...reasonably certain I know what the issue is, but Sky hasn't really had any contact with Nobodies, so even if I'm right he doesn't exactly know))

Sky was somewhat confused as to where his opponent may have come from to be on the shore there, as he saw no vehicle and had felt no obvious wave of energy emanating from self-propelled motion. Perhaps, he mused, this being harnessed some sort of energy with which the magewarrior was not familiar. He seemed to be hostile, but at the same time Sky wouldn't rule out merely confusion, and took the opportunity to ascertain his potential opponent's intentions.

Sky: I'm not about to be used by anyone. What is it that you want?

Not liking the close proximity, and wanting to give the man some space so as to avoid provoking unneeded hostility, Sky leapt backwards, landing softly in the sand with barely an indentation. He put his hand on the hilt of his sword but did not yet draw it, throwing a quizzical look at the silvery being.

"What I need is none of your concern... yet."

The figure that stood before him, all in red, seemed to show a fighting spirit, just what this William needed. "Before I begin, I might as well introduce myself as Mixlaliw. I am as what most people would normally consider... non-existant."

Mixlaliw drew forth his sword and positioned the point towards the fighter before him. The sword drew the vines on it towards the tip of the blade. Right as they did that they shot off the sword and flew towards Sky in an awkward jagging movement. The vines were very sharp, especially at the point, but as with normal vines, they were fragile.

This was to see if this "host" would make a suitible candidate for the plan.

This guy got to the point rather quickly, Sky thought, as he dove backwards to avoid the silvery vines, raising his arms as he did so. The vines broke through the sand that lifted up from the ground, scattering a dusty mist of sorts about the beach, but were shortly thereafter shattered by the large rock which came up just a few feet from the man who had introduced himself as Wileam. The magewarrior leapt over the still-moving disconnected vines to kick the rock down hard on where he hoped his opponent still stood, bounding off that to land several meters behind where the man had been. Sky drew his sword and looked at the rock as it sat on the beach.

Sky: If you know what's good for you, I would recommend you stay under there.

((OOC: I didn't realize how the Nobody names worked. Heh. So now I had to change the name. At least it wasn't too far in the battle...))

Mixlaliw backflipped away from the rock as it slammed into the ground. Sand kicked up and covered him up.

When it was clear, Mixlaliw was nowhere in sight.

"That was it? I know you can do more."

Just then the sand shot up from the ground right underneath Sky as Mixlaliw spun around with his sword above him hoping to strike his foe from the sand. Wileam then floated a few feet in the air and focused on his foe, waiting what to do next.

((Mixlaliw? Name him what you want, but I think Lixwimal or something else has more of a ring to it))

The magewarrior jumped to the side when the sand began to churn beneath him. He'd had some bad experiences with diggers, but had learned the necessary lesson to just wait it out, and backed up to harder ground until his opponent had unearthed himself, and floated in the air.

Sky: Indeed I can do more. I just wanted to make sure you were up to it is all.

The magewarrior seemed to chant a bit over his sword before charging and leaping at his opponent, to slash the air. Before the silvery being got the chance to react to being slashed at, he had a different issue at hand. The spell cast on the sword was not quite so much a direct enchantment as an affinity for water, activated at the caster's wish. In this case, Sky had decided to use it while jumping towards his opponent, who found himself buffeted from behind by the sea, pushed, the magewarrior hoped, right into the path of his slash.
