J**** C*****, how many people are registered on acmlm's, and haven't TOUCHED the post button? LOTS! From years ago, they haven't prolly even LOOKED at the board! I don't know if anyone would want this thread in the Bitching section, or even help section.... What do you think? Should we just delete these names? Wouldn't that take up information? I mean really, these people don't even care.  |

| Clearly, if someone complains, the proper solution is to get rid of the one complaining. Solves tons of problems that way!
I think the main thing is that all of the users who don't post don't take up a whole lot of space. Besides, the main concern for the board tends to be bandwidth, which is more determined by the ones who are posting than the ones who are not. |

| In the OLD days, we (and by we, I mean Milly) would purge dormant accounts every few months or so when we (er, he) felt the urge.
Usually if the person had logged in regularly but hadn't posted, it was all right. No posts + no logging in... :\ |

| I don't think there's really a problem of inavtive users. So what if they don't come back, take a look at alot of other forums that have around 13k people. I mean, if you really think this is bad... heh.

| That reminds me of way back when Jesper wanted to delete some users but by accident he used the wrong symbol and somehow alot of the active uers were deleted thus forcing Milly to use a month old (or so) backup to restore the place.
I really can't remember the exact details but you get the drift. That sure was a fun time. Very fun time. |

| The problem with deleting accounts that haven't posted in a few months, is that a legitimate poster might go on holiday or something and come back to find their account gone.
