| I play with a clan for a game called Day of Defeat. Im sure you have heard of it. Anyways, they were having a contest for a server for any game for like 4 months or something.
I wanted this server. Knowing everyone else has horrendus art skills, I took it upon myself to make sure I win this contest. I made this banner. 
Looks nice right? The clan is called STFU. Been running for like 5 years or something. Anyways, the original for all the years was this one, 
Mine might no be as good, but it dosn't matter, as it is being replaced anyways. So some people threw some out there, and they were all REALLY, REALLY Bad. Seriously, only someone with half a brain could like them... So it comes down to the voteing for about 10 banners. The voting is still in progress, but mine it LOSING! I have 2 Votes, one of them being mine! This one, 
is winning with 8 votes. All the others have 1 or 2 votes. This may be just me, but I really think mine is far superiour. They say mine dosn't look like much effort was put into it

| Well your banned is not really animated, so that might have played against you. A more animated banner may attract more attention toward it than something static. I personnally like (though not that much) the winning banner even though it's very cliché. Other than that I can't really say which is the "winner" since I don't really like any of them that much.
And there's a good chance you find your banner superior, since YOU made it( I don't mean that in a bad way). |

| The current banner is the only good one there. :\ Yours is second place to me, and the rest are just trash. Alhough I can see the charm in the one that's winning, with its little message and all.
Do you think popularity of the creator is affecting the results? |

| The man that made it isnt very popular at all... They just think his is better animated and more fluid then mine...I really dont understand how they can say that though, mine took about 3 or 4 hours. Im sure the one that looks like it was Cut and Paste 101 didnt take more then 10 minutes...
My votes jumped from last night though! I now have 7, and the other guy has 10 
Not sure if you guys here registered and voted or something, but whatever happened, it sure did
I might not win though, as he is still ahead
I realise his message in the winning one may seem better, but at least consider that the horrible image will be sitting at the top of the screen on EVERY page... |

| I usually refrain from commenting on banners, but since you're so whiney/bitchey about it~
On the original image, I think it rocks both of them. smooth animation, nice usage of color, etc. As for the second image, it really doesn't excite me much, those types tend to either make someone go "ooh, whats it gonna say" or "pass." It's somewhat intriguing. It's not always the effort thats put into something but the overall look and feel when it's done. Ie. if I spent 2 years making a bunny logo for "youfuckingsuck.com" and someone spent 2 seconds taking a shit, they'd get chosen over me. It's just that his image says more about the clan than yours does. |

Yours is WAY better. It wouls fit in the site better rather than some half-ass, all-white "sharp-edge" patriotic shitter, I mean, banner. Yours fades in well. The gunshots are cool... great job. |

| Yours certainly looks sharper, but I prefer the one that's winning. It just has this... Quality to it. If it was more professionally done, it'd be far superior, I believe.
Setzer's right, though. The original is better than both... Though, not by TOO much, I think. |

| Yea, I see what you guys mean. Looks like I am going to lose though. People were saying good things about his banner before the voting started (As we were all able to see them), and I was thinking I should take his and make it better looking...
I thought mine would win though in the end, but appears I was wrong... And in other news, now there is a contest for the clan to make a design for the store. Whoever wins gets a order of the shirt or whatever you chose with youe logo for free. I can't decide if I even want to try thought =\ |
