No ... I'm not too sure about that.

I'm in the habit of thinking that when writing the short essays for the English AP, it doesn't matter how to interpret an essay, short story, or poem as long as you provide evidence for your thesis.

Also, the essays and other writings that the AP provides are pretty straight forward in themselves, so you won't stray too far from what the essay's really about.

I was referring strictly to the multiple choice. The essays are another matter - I've heard samples of high-scoring essays that are absolutely outrageous in content but that were defended by textual evidence. On the other hand, the multiple choice questions have only a single correct answer and, in my experience, the "right" one is, to some extent, a matter of perception.

Yea, those were fun times in class last year, Silvershield.

With multiple choice questions and essays for that matter, you just essentially have to learn what they want in the answers and put them in. Of course, it takes a lot of practice with a class like English. But I felt the work we did in class helped me a lot. After a while, I began to look at things in a certain way geared towards the AP test. And considering my studying(or lack thereof), I think I did pretty well. A lot of people say you can't study for these types of tests. I think the English section just takes practice.

Well, I think my teacher got me to think in that way over the course of the year.

Also, for multiple choice in most areas like English and History, it's more often "the best possible choice," and I think the questions and answers are geared in a way so that there is, most of the time, an answer that stands above the rest.

Man, Calc was a punk of a test ... barely, got out of there awake.

Then again, I probably should've studied ... and maybe not stayed up until 2:30 working on artwork for AP Studio ... (but good thing I did 'cause if I didn't, I'd be royally screwed for that AP.)

Overall though, I thought it went smoothly. I predict a four.

I have my U.S. History test tomorrow morning. I got a 75% on my practice multiple choice, so I should be pretty good.

That was the only one of E. E. Cummings's poems that I actually liked.

In other news...
YAY IT'S ALMOST OVER!

Took World History and English Lit. AP tests this week, and probably did horribly on both, mainly because of the essays.
But, the testing coordinator at my school contacted the College Board, and I'll be able to take that Calc test on May 17. Yay
Now I just have one college final (Computer Science, just simple C++ coding) and one AP test left. Meaning less left to study for.

The English Lit test had to be one of the easiest tests I've taken yet.

Whatever ... three to go.

The proctor called out 10 minutes.. and I had approximatly 25-30 questions left. That was ridiculous. I hadda guess half of them. I'm convinced I wrote three perfect essays though. Womens rights, industrialization and the south after the civil war (reconstruction error).. I ruled at that shit. I owned that part of the test. The multiple choice though... a tad shakey.

Mad hard test to take.
But I'm relieved that it's over [=
and I hope everyond did well on theirs.

I meant to say "fucked up on." I kicked ass at multiple choice, though.

I wish I felt the same about the AP World essays. I bombed the last two essays. The DBQ was a cinch, but the other two... gah.

And the first question on the MC test was a question I have had for two years. Heh.
Now Monday is AP Bio in the morning. I am going to fail that, I think. Never gone over an essay in that class except doing one at the beginning of the year and looking over three a few weeks ago...
