No. The CBA error only comes when there are 2 of my party members in battle. The first two party members can battle. The other 2 can't.

I'm olbviouslly not asking BlueFalcon but I am asking anyone that knows the answer.
If I have an item called "House Key" How do I make it so that when you open to the locked door in the house it opens? |

Well, if I remember correctly, you go to Conditional Branch and place the item you need as the door may need to be an event.

Big question.
In my new project, I'd like to make a complex cooking system, wherein you can combine ingredients to make new items. I don't want to make it so you have to go to a Chef character NPC to do this, but rather by ising an item, like a Portable Oven, or something like that. Any ideas? |

Well the idea is easy, just do your cooking system, but instead of it being an NPC, just make an item with a switch that when used, will initiate the cooking system. Better still, you could make a check to see if your character has a "cooking" skill learned that has to be present before the item can be used.

Alright, whenever I import MP3's (or anything besides a midi) and use the music for an area it screws up. The music plays just fine, but after the song ends, it takes almost five for the song to start again. And for battle music, if the song is shorter than the battle lasts, the music will start over, and not stop, even when the battle ends. And if it's too long, it continues after the battle untill the ene of the song. Any ideas?

Heh. Please specify which RPG Maker you're using.
You shouldn't be using MP3's anyway. |

I've never heard of a problem like that before... But aren't you suppose to use .wav instead of .mp3?

I have had RPG Maker XP installed for quite some time now. Two days ago my computer had an accident. I was able to salvage most files and programs, including RPGMaker. But when I tried to open it up, it gave me an error message, "RGSS-RTP Standard must be installed." What got deleted? Can this be fixed without a re-install? I dont have the installer anymore, so am I outta luck?
Edit:..nevermind..I found the installer buried under like 8 folders in my computer's "No man's Land" section. It all works now. (edited by AlexAR on 04-24-06 08:10 PM) |

OK, I got a small question/problem. Its no big deal, all I have to do is remember to save more often. Sometimes when I press F2 to preview a message I just created for an event, I get an error message and RPG Maker XP closes automatically.
The error box reads: " Critical Error C0000005 at address 0049783C" Is something corrupt? Is it an easy fix? Anyone else ever get this? Anyone give a flying fuck? I'm making a kick ass game, just you wait and see..muhahahaha....ha. (edited by AlexAR on 06-10-06 01:55 PM) |
