| Heres my first layout - I've never been good with tables and stuff, and I think it looks good. It's pretty much finished, but I might add another table on the right, and some other picture. I know, it's pretty bad, but opinions so far?

There is way too much open space around the post table itself. 
Other than that, it's okay. Readable at least. Not much else to say. I don't really like those kinds of backgrounds, but that's just a personal opinion. |

| For the time being, make your table at least 80% in width.
Otherwise, not bad. Nothing spectacular or fancy, but good nonetheless. |

| This layout utterly, utterly fails outside of 1024x768 w/ maximized window. The background tiles itself on any higher and breaks poorly on any lower, and that looks very ugly...
Not to mention it's. Kinda generic. |

| Personally, I think the image you used for your background is too big. It took a while to load on my (modestly quick) internet connection. Which means that anybody dialling up is going to have all sorts of problems (yes, there are still people who dial up to the internet...)
Where possible, it's always best to work with smaller images.  |

| Hmm... I don't see any BG image... I just checked your profile, and I see it there... Maybe now I'll see it in this thread...
Also, I use dial-up, and the profile loaded quick. I noticed no delay. Therefore, the image isn't big enough to mess with dial-upers. Edit Nope. Still don't see the BG image in this thread. Odd, that... (edited by Elric on 11-26-05 12:02 AM) |

| @KATW: Yeah, I know. I guess I cou;d just consider this my test layout for now. The background, now that I look at it, doesn't look too good with the table.
@Elric: Image is small. No clue why it won't work
@Aurxix: I will, but I'll have to find a better BG> @Alastor: As I said above, I noticed it kinda sucks. So I'll fix it. I think for now, I'll lose this layout, and now that I know people's opinions and such, I can probably produce a better one soon. Thanks again, it was informative
