Hiya. I'm Gaz, from Wales, UK. I first registered here about three or four years ago, and, for a time, I was semi active. (I had a post count of over 700 posts, I think) Then I just kinda drifted away from here and sought new waters. (..WTF?!)

But now, I've drifted back, like a bunch of flotsam caught on a morning tide (What the hell is it with me and water today?!). Dunno how long I'll stick around, but whatever. See you dudes around, I guess.

I'd like to welcome you to the board Gaz. Welcome back to the board. It's good to see that the tides have brought you back here. Is there anything you are really interested in, such as emulation or gaming or anything else?

After a quick look in the archives, I don't see a user by the name of Gaz on either board, so what was your previous name?

Either way, welcome back.

Whereabouts in Wales are you from, Gaz? I visited a few cities there with some friends over the weekend back in January while I was studing abroad in the UK. Beautiful countryside.

Welcome to the boards, hope you enjoy it here.

Welcome.

I really can't remember you from 3 years ago but you sound cool either way.

Maybe this time, you won't be 'semi-active'

"active" is a whole lot better.

Three and or four years ago you registered... That's quite a long time. I wonder how to remember this place since that long. Either way, welcome back to the board. I'm pretty sure you'll meet lots of new people.

Thank you all for your kind welcomes. Now, to answer your questions:

||EyeL E Ss||: I had over 700 posts, if I remember. Then again, I posted rather sporadically.

acillatem98: Let's see... I like videogaming, I like writing (mostly fantasy stuff), and I used to be a bit of an RPG Maker whiz. That was before I lost a year long project when my computer got a virus.. After that, I kinda lost effort. I also quite enjoy Roleplaying online, but not as much as two or three years ago.

Danielle: My previous user name was Death Guise, a name I really grew to hate.
Skydude: There aren't really any cities in Wales, apart from in the south. I live in a small town in the north of the country. And yeah, the countryside can be quite attractive, despite the horrendous weather..

And now I remember you. Death Guise. Why do you hate that name now?

And yet you didn't know that making 700 posts three years ago on a board like this is easily forgettable.

Thoughtless: Wow, over 800? I was more active than I thought back then, heh. And that name..I dunno why, it just seems rather cruddy, in retrospect.

Yoshi Dude: Thank you for the welcome. And you raise a very valid point, back then it was possible for people to make over 700 posts in a week.

Salutations! Welcome to Ace's!

Ah, you're a Roleplayer? EXCELLENT. I am as well, and I am constantly searching for new rivals to battle with in our two Roleplaying forums. You just GOTTA stop by sometime, dude. Yeah, I'll give you a show all right, should you need some vibrance in your life!

I used to be into RPG Maker as well, but... it kinda... drifted from my interests...

Still, I am overjoyed to meet someone just as creative as myself for a change. Feel free to check out my Website if you ain't busy. Whaddabout you-- Do you have a Website? *checks User Bio* Shoot! Moonlit Arena... Not baaaaaad, my friend! 'Course ya only got 15 members there, but still...

I really look forward to seeing more of you, fellow Roleplayer. Peace. --Schwa

Hah, thank you very much for your kind offer. However, my time on the internet is tragically restricted these days, and I can only realistically spend a couple of hours or so online a day. So, if I ever were to battle or Roleplay with you, I fear I may not be the most active of sim partners. This is quite ironic, really, as it's only fairly recently that I've become a "good" Roleplayer, and some of my posts take several hours to write. I'm not saying I'm the best, far, far from it. Rather, I have the uncanny ability to make Roleplay posts drag out much longer than they realistically should. Longest indivdual roleplay post? 14 and a half MS Word Pages.

I'll take a looksie at your site a little later if I have some free time.

The Moonlit Arena? Hah, that site isn't mine, per say, rather a friends'. I put it in my profile as a way of advertisement. It's currently "rockily inactive", in that it has the potential to be active, but it'll need work. SHame, really, it's been through at least six incarnations over the last three years, but only the first version has ever been really active. Long story.

Anyway, if I have time, I might see you on the roleplay forums some time.

It really doesn't take that much time to be a good SFer or SBer, if you don't write...14.5 pages (!!) for each post. Time shouldn't be that much of a factor. We always need fresh blood, after all.

Don't worry, I only wrote a 14.5 page long post once, and that was an introductionary, first post of a Roleplay explaining background details and such.
Anyway, I'm considering roleplaying here some time. Just don;t expect me to be amazingly active.

'Scuse you, Sky? I've been here for over 2 years and I'm STILL improving. Not everyone can exhibit the gift we Roleplayers emit, you know. Don't you ever say "it doesn't take much to be good". It takes HELL.

To Gaz: Activeness was never an issue in fights against me. If you can post once a week minimum, you're active enough, unless this is an actual RP we're talking about as opposed to an Arena fight. Longer than a week is too long.

And you should be proud to drag out your posts, so long as it's not redundant text. The longer the post, usually the more creative it ends up. I despise fighting someone who doesn't put PLOT into the Arena battles, and you seem like you put Plot into everything, so in my eyes you'd actually be quite a worthy rival!

Speaking of long posts: Your Character Profile sheet, in my opinion, should be very long. Mine might be about 14 pages, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, don't be afraid to be yourself. Roleplaying should be therapy.
