Yeah, I fell asleep often in class in grades 9 and 10. I slept through pretty much every grade 9 science class and just barely passed (I got a D-).  I didn't want to sleep, but I've always had sleeping problems. 
And when I was in like grade 2 I chewed the pencils. |

| I used to chew the shit out of my pencils. I've had more pencils with teeth makrs on the wood and missing erasers than I care to admit...but I don't think I've ever helped myself to the writing end. Back in elementary school my ill-informed teachers convinced me that pencils contained real lead and that I was going to die foaming at the mouth if I sucked on it...much the same way your mother convinces you to be good by telling you that there is a Santa Claus and he's going to burn a big bag of fresh reindeer shit on your front lawn if you misbehave this year, and you'll have to face all your friends the next day.
I could see Alastor now walking into the dentist. "Well, your teeth are in great health, but I've noticed a slight discoloration...may I recommend Gleem?" 
Hey now, if you REALLY wnat to go for broke, take out the middle part of a pen, cut off the writing end, and drink the ink. I know someone from middle school who did that on a dare. | ....why would someone drink the ink out of a pen, even on a dare? That's pretty awful.
And yeah, if you just mean kinda chewing on pencils, I don't really chew so much as kind hold the pencil in my mouth, such that it does get a bit chewed-looking after a while, but it's a rather slow process. With my mechanical pencils, in general, they aren't in unusable shape before the graphite runs out anyway, so it's about the right speed. |

When I was like 4 or 5 I used to lick the wood on pencils. And that's pretty gross. And as a baby like 2 or 3.. I used to bite my toenails. We all do weird unhealthy things when we're young. |

| Drinking the ink from pens... wouldn't you normaly get soo freaking sick you'd rather die a painless death?
Normaly, if it isn't food, I don't eat it. But chewing pencils I can understand... used to chew pencils when in elementary, but then one of my teachers would tell me that chewing on pencils will turn you into a hamster that bites down on wood... |

| Well, I use the disposable mechanical pencils, which don't tend to lend themselves to putting more graphite in. Besides, like I said, by the time they run out they're in pretty bad shape anyway. | |||

| I bite pencils if they're the wood kind, but not mechanical ones. Which is why I buy mechanical pencils only, because it's a rather disgusting habit to bite pencils. |

I use mechanical pencils, too. They've lasted almost the entire semester. The only problem is two of the three had the nose part bent, so any lead that tries to come out snaps, making it useless.  |

| I just buy a pack of disposable mechanical pencils every now and then, and it tends to last me a while. Usually, a single one will last me a whole quarter or more, including tests and problem sets. | |||

| Mechanical pencils are a win for me.
I can't stand wooden pencils simply because of the task of sharpening them. And I at times find myself chewing any type of writing device. Be it wooden pencils, mechanical pencils, pens, feathers, human fingers, etc.. |
