OOC: This is a try, I guess. Let me know how I did.
On this day, Riku was training on some basic lessons. He was learning some fairly simple tricks from one of his instructers Axel. Axel was a guy who guy straight to the point, and down with buisness. He couldn't be trusted in any way. You would think he was on your side, then suddenly turn on you. Entrusting him would be like trusting a four-year-old to help you fight a demon. Riku had been working on the lesson for sometime now. At least an hour. The lesson was to control the sword and bend it to your will. In the room, it resembled a church. Large statue in the middle, looking like "Ansem", God of darkness. There were places for dispatching blood. In their idea of worship, they offered a human sacrifice. There were priests observing Riku, and his talents. "Axel, I've been doing this foreveeeeeeer. When am I going to pass?" Axel lowered his eyes in disapointment. "....You should very well know when. When you reach success." Axel looked back up, placed a sword on the ground and stepped back. "Now, think in observation. Picture what you must do." Riku thinks about lifting the sword, but to many visions cloud his memory. "I... I... Can't." Axel shouts back with words of courage. "You will complete this mission." He thinks, and in terms, success is reached. "I did it!" Axel is unamused, despite all that he's did. "Good. Come back here tommorow for your next lesson,"Pain and suffering causes uncontrolable darkness"." Riku leaves the room slowly, walking down steps with little speed. He thinks about the 20 floors, and how he had climbed 14 already. He thinks about the day he'll fight his master, and take the crown of victory. "Sure has been awhile since I tried that." Riku sences a telegraphic message traveling toward him." "Riku I need you to come to my office for your next mission.... It includes.... The plan.." Riku lets out a "sigh" when he hears this. He quickly went over to his master's office for his mission. "Riku. I need you to search for Sora once again. He was last seen talking to someone getting directions in the third resistance camp. Just be very careful, or you'll find yourself in deep trouble. Don't let anyone know of our operation." Riku listens to his masters orders, and has yet his own part in some of this. "Yes master... But why Sora? Can't we someone else?" "No exceptions." "Alright... I understand." Riku leaves toward the third resistance, taking a horse to go there. On the way, he buys some clothes to look common. He knew everyone knew him far and wide. "Sir, I need some clothing." "Why, your just in time, son. I'm almost closing. Here, how much you offer?" "5 Zenny." "Fair enough. Here ya go, kid." "Thanks." Riku leaves and heads to the third resistance to find Sora. He find himself in front of a group of people, but no sign of Sora. He found someone who dressed differently then others, alone at a table. From the looks of it, he was just passing through. Riku walks up to him, because he looked like he had seen him. "Sir, have you seen someone named Sora 'round here?" OOC: Not bad. The only thing I would suggest on working on is giving the opponent more flexibility for an introduction. Though I'll still be able to make a fairly good intro out of this, remember that not everyone can write like me. 
Now... to battle! The man, a very, very old-looking Mage with dark-silver robes covered with bright-gold moons, lifts his head and stares at Riku. His stare... it's highly disturbing, as if the man is staring right into your soul! After a long pause, the man smiles, then fades into a silver energy and vanishes. Meanwhile... "Found one, coordinates 9xc5, q67l." The weird numbers and letters come in such a way for the person receiving the telepathic message to understand exactly what they mean, as if spoken in a private language. "I'm on it! Thanks a bundle, Master Asriath." From 70 miles away, a turquoise streak of Ether cuts out of the woods, sending birds flying from their brances in the sudden disturbance. The ether streak, coating a mystery figure, races towards Riku's destination... ...but to make things even MORE complicated, another figure is waiting already close to Riku. This guy is dressed in jet-black, SUPER-futuristic armor, and none of his skin is visible. (Think of a cross between Alien, Predator, and a Storm Trooper.) Through his jet-black visor, he's seen some kind of light vanish in front of Riku's eyes that none of the passersby seemed to see at all. (His visor is special, though...) He decides to investigate. The man, named Kaz, steps forwards and addresses Riku. "You there! Did you see some kind of strange, misty white light disappear just now? And I want the truth! C'mon, out with it..." Kaz's figure may be intimidating, but he makes no hostile gestures while speaking. He just seems a little... firm... |

| Riku is stunned that the man just addressed him for his actions. He tries to act casual.
"I.... I.... don't know what you are talking about. I've been living here with my wife and kids for five years. I own the inn, and have many crops out yonder. I am perfectly normal. I have no powers." Riku knows this isn't beleiveable, but he tries. He thinks this will throw off the enemy off his tracks. But his famous Soul Eater was in sight on his side buckle. "Yep, yep. I've had some rough times, but I've gotten through. What is this light you speak of? I clearly have no idea what you are talking about." |

| "Bull honky. There was this mist-like, hazey light in front of you, and you said to it, 'Sir, have you seen anyone named Sora around here?', then it wavered and disappeared. Now, I was just curious at first, but liars make me angry."
He bends down and holds his open hand close to Riku's face. Alien energy swirls between his fingers in swift, complex patterns. "I don't play games. You better hope to your higher level of humanity that you'll learn not to either, when talking to ME." Kaz doesn't move, and waits for Riku's reaction. The first figure keeps getting closer... |

| Kaz's fists tighten. He does NOT like being challenged...
"At least you have the insight to tell me what I wanted to hear. As for Sora, actually I--" He stops short as he detects an unmistakable energy signature. Riku might be able to detect it, too. "Wait right here." Kaz turns around, and a huge flame erupts out of the holes on the back of his armor-- his Afterburner. He takes off into the air and is seen flying up towards an ether-coated figure approaching... Meanwhile, as we switch to Schwa's point of view... "Hey, is that Kaz?" "Heads up, unworthy one!" A sphere of alien energy flies at him. "WHOA, damn!" He swerves a little, dodging the attack. But two more approach. On the 3rd shot, Schwa is nailed and, like a shot-down fighter jet, begins spiraling to the ground. People run for cover as Schwa slams into the ground in a big poof of ether, steaming from the earlier attack. "Uugh... Kaz, you warmonger..." Kaz lowers altitude after circling around and hovers 20 feet away, arms crossed, TenguMan style. "Feel my power!" "Enough with TenguMan imitation..." Schwa gets to his feet. "What was that for, anyway?" "Gotta keep my rival in check. See ya." Kaz turns and takes off into the wild blue yonder. Schwa sighs and turns around to face Riku. "Sorry, kid... Hey, I'm looking for someone. A friend of mine, who's a spirit, detected someone in the area who had an Evil alignment... Do you know anyone under that category?" Poor, foolish Schwa... |

| Riku finds this to his advantage.
"Why yes, I know someone who just fits that description. Follow me." Riku heads to a road three miles from the city. He takes the small not noticed path, and to an old graveyard in which nobody has been in for years. "Well... You wanted to know, here he his. Yeah, it's me. Don't you feel stupied? Hehe... And DON'T try contacting anyone, for I'm sure you know what happens when telegraphic energy is detected at a graveyard. Unatural things happen." Riku switches to his EMO armor to taunt his foe. "This armor is so cool. Makes me mature in darkness faster. Heck, it made me the best and youngest dark user today. I do think I'm stronger than you. Which makes you what? A wuss. Wuss, wuss, wuss, wuss, wuss, wussy, wussity, wussy." Riku waits for a response. |

| OOC: Oops, this is what'cha get for accidentally implying to control other people's characters.
But Riku is talking to nobody. Schwa hasn't budged, as Riku traveled the 3 miles all by himself. "Wonder where he's off to? Ah well, I bet I can still contact him and find his location." As Riku disappears in the distance, Schwa establishes an unnoticable psychic link with him to keep track of his location. Soon, Schwa senses Riku in a graveyard, and hears what he's saying. "He must be an idiot. He actually thinks I've come with him? Hmm... Well, I must be an idiot too, because I didn't see Evil when it was right in front of me." "Hey, Riku! Who're you talking to? Sucks to walk 3 miles for no reason, doesn't it? How 'bout I teleport you back?" If that doesn't taunt Riku, Schwa fails to know what will. To say he's pleased with himself is an understatement. |

| "Damn. I burnt him up SO good when he didn't even come. I feel so stupied."
Riku gets Schwa's message. "Who would need YOUR help anyway? I'm coming back. Just you wait." So to taunt Schwa, he walks three miles again, to the big broad road, across the bridge, and into the village. "Hoo....hoo...I...told..you...I...would...be...here..." "Come...this...way...people...don't *Heavy breathe* need to know. I have a Master, Ya know? Claims he fought you and gained enough knowledge to rule an empire. He taught me everything he hasn't tried on you. He was known as " Riku waits for his response. |

"Okay okay... So you're the characer Asriath spotted for me. Hey, uh, thanks for falling into his trap, by the way. Now I can erase you from the Material Plane. Lucky!" Schwa's hands flare with turquoise ether. "Tell ya what. I win, you die. But if you can hurt me to the point I can't battle anymore, I'll tell you where Sora's gone off to. A telepathic person can do that, after all. Do we have a deal?" |
