I didn't go to work tonight and my aunt and I made a cake and split it, and she made me a special dinner. My mom is sending me a DS Light from back home which I cannot wait for! | We made a strawberry shortcake. It was sweet and delicious and we had fun making it ^^ I'm a little better at cooking deserts that she is so I got to show her a few things, and she showed me some too. Nothing like bonding with your family over sweets =P
The dinner was some of my favorite dishes, a beef an lobster tepanyaki over rice with onigiri and noodles. She even put it in a little bento box with a bow on it, cute presentation ^^ Skydude: In Japan, a coming of age cerimony is celebrated at 20 years old. It is celebrated on the second monday of January (it used to be...I think, January 14 always) and its sort of a big deal.
