I wasn't trying to be funny, though... I just use them

I know you weren't trying to be funny. It was just a golden opportunity for humor that you seem to have...missed.

Spacebar not working? Now THAT is ugly.

I was going to do that myself, but I'm not sitting next to a grammar book, and I have no idea how they work.

It was quite amusing, it was back when I used to play runescape, so I was in mid game when it broke, "I'llbebackinasecond, thespacebarjustbroke" Good times...

That's why I always keep a few extra keyboards ready if a few buttons on my keyboard just stops working.

My friend Kevin -- who I call Axl most of the time -- broke my last keyboard two weeks ago, so he thought smashing it to get it to work again... would work. Idiot... --;;

See that comma in your sentence? The gramatically correct punctuation mark there would've been the semi-colon.

Has anyone seen "German teen yelling at his computer".....?

My "left" key had broke on my old keyboard, I WAS PISSED!!!!!!!! Whenever a Cacoedemon or a Baron of Hell tried woopin' my ass from the left, my awesome doomer skills would concede to defeat. >8(

Eventually I got a new keyboard, then I accidentally dropped my mouse in a cup of water. Every time I swiped it left, it went left, but every time I swiped it right, it went left. Talk about ruined doomer skills.

I eventually got a new MOUSE. Then I cleaned the files out of my computer, and delted some of the computer files... [do I need to say it again?] Talk about ruined doomer skills.

Forte, you keep SPARE keyboards? ooookaaaaaay.

And what's wrong with that? I have enough money for an extra 3 or four.

I'd just keep enough money around to go buy a new keyboard if mine broke.

But I have a laptop, so it's not quite that easy. I hope none of them break and can't be shoved back in.

It's always a decent idea to have spare computer equipment around. Usually you won't even need to buy it. For example, if your keyboard breaks, the keyboard from your last computer, which is probably in disuse and obselete, should work just fine.

Skydude's right. There's no telling how many old keyboards/monitors/etc. floating around my house, all that still work. Pretty much guarantees that I won't get stuck into one of those "Oh no! Broken computer! I can't work on it for a month until I get a new keyboard/monitor/etc." moments.

At my house, there are approx.
5 spare keyboards,
4 spare processors (pentium 2)
'bout 10 sticks of ram,
and at least 7 disk drives, (none of them are re-writable though )
4 sets of speakers,
3 monitors
and 2 gfx cards.

Yep, my house is loaded with old computer parts.

Spare keyboards don't really help when you're using a laptop guys

Well regular keyboards, anyway.

That's actually not entirely true. Most laptops have places where you can hook up an external keyboard and/or mouse. Granted, it's a lot more convenient to use the attached one, but that's not always feasible, as in this case.

I could do that if I had a USB mouse or keyboard, but I do not
