It was 47C outside today if you factor in humidity.

For the Americans: It felt like 116F.

Thank the heavens for AC.

And they say Canada isn't hot, huh? I had to go through that as well about a week ago, and also had AC to combat the madness. Funny thing, though. On the weather channel, it says that to beat the heat, you should check on the elderly. Now, I understand it helping them beat the heat, but if anything, it would also let the heat beat you.

You guys are all pussies.

We have to deal with 110-115F weather all year.

On a related note, tropical storm Chris is coming, and it's going to hit us. Oh joy.

Yeah, but is it a dry heat or a really humid heat? It's one thing to have 110F as a base temperature and it's another thing to have the temperature feel like 110F when it's really 85F.

But you're used to those kinds of temperatures. We are not. Your logic is somewhat flawed there.

I have a fan on nonstop. I am not satisfied if my room is not in the range of 50-65 farenheit.

I always have a fan on, too. But that's cuz we don't have AC.

It's not terrible with the fan, but if I can't have that (the power went out a few days ago for 4 hours ), then it's death.

I must be weird I'm pretty indifferent to temperature, though I do prefer cold. It's humidity that gets me. Oh, cursed humidity.

The humidity gets blown away by nice cold fronts from the thunderstorms we've gotten a lot of recently, which is good. Our lawn gets covered in leaves though, which is bad, because then I have to pick up all the garbage :/

I actually find it kinda strange that Canada had such a high temperture. At this rate, the heat will slowly increase every year, until life is no longer suitable on earth.

We had thunder here, raging for 5-6 bloody hours the whole morning due to the incredible heat these last weeks.

I think itīs too much with 35C outside if there isnt lots of winds.

Hush you.

I didn't even know about this until today.

And that was because someone told me last night on the phone.

I'm anxiously awaiting for when the water and electric goes out for no reason at all. Those are always fun.

I managed to find some information on the North American heat wave.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_North_American_heat_wave
The European one just passed, but this one is still in effect. I passed out for a few seconds because of the darn heat. And we're in the prairies, so... yeah.

100'F is nothing. It's been 118'F here ... and that was a few days ago

For some reason, the winter always mirrors the summer

Especially considering that that the entire power system crashes if it's hit by so much as
a mild breeze.

I actually find it kinda strange that Canada had such a high temperture.

Actually, the southern parts of Canada (Toronto, Montreal, etc.) do have incredibly warm summers to go along with the incredibly cold winters.

I've always wondered how places above the Arctic Circle felt during periods of constant day.
