Naw, see, when I was a kid I'd always scream BIG MONEY at the TV when I watched that show. I always thought the whammies were douchebags.

They made a new one called (quite appopriately) Whammy!, the all new Press Your Luck!

It featured Double Whammies.

...

That, in addition to a character, did some, uh, damage. For example, a Whammy opening the attic on-screen and dumping tons of clothes on the poor player

Haw. Shows how much I watch something like GSN. I used to just watch old gameshows during the day DURING summer when I was a kid. It was a way to pass the time.

Heck, like Frank, I watch TPiR quite a bit. Kinda makes me wonder what happened to him and the old TPiR contests. I only tried out for that thread once or twice.

I recently found him at golden-road.net (unsuprisingly, a TPiR site).

I've been meaning to register and
a) tell Frank15 hello, sup, etc
b) Beat that person who asked if they should retire PLINKO of all games

I mean

retiring PLINKO

what a horrible horrible lapse of judgement htis idiot has

They retired that game? Talk about killing the core of the game...well...next to the showcase showdown and the one wheel deal.

No, but he was asking if they should (not should have)...

They'd never retire that; it's practically a staple of the show.

Plinko is one of those games that is enjoyable to watch, and fun to play. However, the odds of $50,000 are around 0.0584%, considering you drop the chip down the center of the board every time. The odds of getting $10,000 if you drop a chip down the center is 22.56%. It's all here on Wikipedia. So you know the odds of winning big are slim and none, especially considering most players are all "boxes of excitement" and few smarts.

I could get GSN easily if I had digital cable but I don't, and it saddens me greatly. I mean, game shows are the PERFECT way to unwind especially when there's nothing else on.

I don't know, yelling at osmeone because they can't figure out a five letter word that's simple....

Dog Eat Dog was still one of my favorite (new) shows, but nothing

NOTHING

beats the Match Game '7Xs.

Charter, which I have now, has in on basic. They have G4 on basic. That in itself kicks ass.

The only problem I have with them is that VH1 and Comedy Central are on the same channel. They flop at 6 PM and 6 AM.

I thought G4 sucked aside from one or two shows now.

Christ, I don't think there's any video game shows on any networks here that aren't in French.

Isn't G4 the channel that's doing so bad they had to reduce themselves to abusing the MDF and holding tournaments of the best looking female character in video games?

I think that says anything that needs said right there.
