I've never seen him before, but... that's awesome.

No snow here. It got down to almost 35, here, but that's about it.

We've got about two inches that has been sitting here for weeks. The temperature stubbornly refuses to raise above 32 degrees.

We have snow that's been sitting here for quite some time.

The global warming fears were replaced with "HOLY CHRIST IT'S COLD" fears for the last week or two. Now it's mild but still below freezing.

On the day I moved back to school (Jan 21), we had a lot of snow. It was kinda crappy because people around here don't know how to drive in the snow, and a lot of people were spinning out just simply trying to go up various VERY un-steep hills. The following day, all classes 10 AM and before were cancelled. My first class scheduled for the day was at 10:30. Dammit!

It was a good inch and a half, I think. They cleared most of the paths, EXCEPT the one leading to and from our dorm building, which is retarded, and stupidly dangerous.

One night, it got pretty warm, but it's just been a consistant crappy below-freezing windy mess since. I like snow and stuff, but if it's just going to be really cold and windy and crappy without any snow, I'd rather just move on to spring.

Good news though, today is groundhog day, and there aren't any shadows anywhere.

It sleeted here the other day, but I still had to go to class that night.

It rarely sleets or ices here, and almost NEVER snows.

I hate how people don't understand this, it makes people doubt that global warming is real.

Global warming WOULD cause freezing ass cold, it's the winter. It's both extremes, not just hot.

It's global climate fluctuation, not simply warming. Do you expect average people to understand science?

By average people, you mean 70% of America, right?

If so, then you are 100% correct.

Danielle: Actually, we always get freaking cold weather in the winter up here. It's not like it's *colder* than normal... it's just that people were happy with the mild temperatures so when things finally returned to normal, people bitched.

In British Columbia, our weather isn't that bad. Just a few weeks of rain and a couple of days of snow, about -10°C at its worst. I think we have the most temperate climate in Canada because of the Pacific Ocean adjacent to us, even though we're not at the lowest point of the country.

It has been absolutely frigid here for the last few days with massively low wind chills. It's been made worse by the fact that up until now, we had a mild winter, so the cold weather seems really cold.

I miss the snow I had about 3 weeks ago.

My town is having the usual mild winters like we always have been. Snow is rare in the part of Texas I live in.

Yeah, you bastards got snow and gloated about it. My friends at TCU got snow days and we got nothing =P

But seriously... mild winters are starting to suck. At least when I was a kid it was cold all winter long and in late autumn, even if it didn't ever snow. Now winter doesn't even start until the very end of December or some time in January.

If Kas doesn't get to wear his spiffy winter clothes and one of the many coats/jackets in his closet (Yeah, I have a thing for outerwear... and shoes...) then he's not a jolly wintertime companion.

Today sucks. I wake up as usual at six in the morning for my college classes, and it's a fucking blizzard outside. From where I live, the streets are backed up for five blocks. And when we show up (incase you forgotten I'm married... and with Becky), it turns out they cancled classes for today but still left the building open for the students that need the campus computers.

Wind chill is strange. If you're walking with the wind, then it's fine. Still pretty cold but acceptable.

Walking against a strong wind in this weather... my eyes freeze.

I agree. Of all the natural forces, wind has ever been my enemy. Of course, I don't have a lot of hair for it to mess up anymore, so I hate it slightly less.

Wind is always there to mess up your day. Sunny out? Too bad it's windy. Cold out? Now it's worse. Not to mention that newspaper and wind are mortal enemies.
