Having never seen the movie, I can't comment on that... but it's interesting how you mentioned that Wolf Creek was disturbing and then the thread died. :\

Disturbing how I wonder:
1)A movie that scary or
2)A movie that bad?

It's about some backpackers travelling through the Outback of Australia.

Their car breaks down, and a friendly local offers them some help...

Comparisons have been made between it and the Peter Falconio disapperance, backpacker murders and the Snowtown murders...

Apparently a lot of people walked out on the film, feeling it's crossed a line...

Roger Ebert did not like it but gave good reasons as to why.

You can read the synopsis on Wikipedia. It's... more daring than some horror movies I think.

Personally I didn't think it was as bad as everyone thought. Maybe I'm just not easily psyched out or something. Seems a lot of the horror element was really in what they didn't explicitly show; and see.....that doesn't freak me out much.

I dunno though, I don't get scared by a lot of "psychological" horror. I get a little nervous, and that's it.

It seems that the American press didn't like it as much as other countries. Content wise and all.

But still...

Eh, some people might not. I mean, I can't see Danielle doing so if she was going to watch a chick flick instead.

Yes, I don't suspect Danielle will like it.

Unless she just watches the first bits with the scenery and stuff. Which is, as I said in the first place, pretty

And it looks like Wolf Creek may have revived the chat...

But the older horror movies are now cheesy.

You have never watched the Halloween movies without commentary by someone who has seen it before. By that, I mean my dad.

Ah, great times...

Unpredictable. Watch your backs. Or not. Whichever. I want Metal Gear Solid 4 so badly.

The last good spooky horror film I saw was "The Ring". Basically because I was around 3rd-4th grade.

The Ring?

...my sister somehow loves that movie. However, I fall asleep during it...

You know what is a scary movie? Twister.

I kid you not. EVERY TIME that is on our television here at home it always storms. Always.

I hate horror movies. Not because they're "scary" or anything like that... they're just not my cup of tea. I might enjoy the occasional thriller, but nothing too extreme.
