WISE FROM YOUR GWAVE!

____________________________________________________________________

(Letter H)
-Ex Lightheart-

The way back to her room didn't take much time, frankly, Her room was pretty bare. Just a bed, a desk, some drawers, a few lamps... The room's metallic walls housed machines that were way beyond this world's technology and probably held some kind of crazy things like matter-compression drawers or maybe tri-dimensional hover lamps... but frankly, it would take a looong while before anyone got these to work.

... so, the room just contained basic technology from this world's civilization. Sure, they were by no mean primitive, far enough in the space age... but then, according to the legends, the Hunters were some kind of gods and wielded technology that was beyond the laws of physics... so of course, compared to such technology, this world seemed primitive.

There wasn't much in her room that would be of interest if going on a trip... except maybe her high-tech watch with an integrated computer inside and her backpack. Having a backpack is useful for carrying stuff, you know!... as well as supplies. After all, some trips does take a while and well, when time pass, you eventually get hungry.

Oh well...

Apart from that, bringing those large blue pilot googles might be a nice idea. Ex Lightheart rarely found a genuine use for them... but well, those were mostly for looks. Hey, it's her right to want to look good while doing stuff, you know!

-Zero-

The enemy, laughing, did not see the attack coming.

BAM!

The usual sound of a Buster attack connecting successfully with a target echoed through the air as the foe recoiled...

(Lemurian)
-Harpuia-
The mysterious foe recoiled a bit from Zero's attack just in time to have the drills go straight through it, blasting its way through its chest with ease!

This was obviously a lethal strike and the enemy was knocked down...

... yet, the foe rose back into position. Strangely enough, it did not use its limbs or any thrusters. It was as if the whole thing was a puppet and had been put back into position by the mysterious force that was controlling it.

The creature, which had absolutely no energy readings, just stood there... "How annoying... You're all so annoying..."

(C'aos)
-Troy-

The fox smirked and then, he and the beings near him burst into laughter for a good full minute!

Laughter... heartless, unfelt, artificial laughter... A forced laughter that was actually creepier than if they had been genuinely laughing. It was as if it wasn't even their own laugh...

"Ha... Who do you think we are? Ignorants? We know very well that Keyblades choose their host and have a connection that allow it to teleport back to the user if separated from the host! Besides... the Keyblade is useless without the wielder! What we wish... is to turn YOU into an Anti-Ex, into one of us! As the bearer of a Keyblade, you are a suitable candidate. It is why you are here... but well, I grow sick of this game. If you will not follow us by your own free will... then we will just have to break you."

The villainous fox turned to the shadows behind him and made a hand gesture... and then, a strange portal opened just next to him...

"We shall play fair here. Beyond this portal is a world which is under the control of the UEN. If you can survive within and find the keyhole leading to the alternate dimension containing the Dimensional Rift... then we shall have no choice but to let you escape. If you die... we will simply revive your body to serve as an undead and use your soul... and your Keyblade... as materials for our latest experiment. You have no choice, no right to choose. Go into this portal and prove yourself."

-Ex Lightheart-

After taking a good look at her room, Ex sighed. Yes, carrying little stuff was useful at many points of life, especially if one was trying to be prepared to leave as fast as possible... but, for this situation, it felt oddly... empty. Maybe it was just her...

Nevermind! It was probably something stupid; maybe she shouldn't have spent so much time listening to stories... and either way, she really ought to move already! Who knew how long would they take to get there...

Picking up both the backpack and the watch, she fit the latter on her wrist, and slung the former over her back, making sure both of them were well-put and not likely to fall.

As she was about to turn around, she saw the pair of goggles. True, she had forgotten why she ever put them there, much less why she'd use it... but, on the other hand, she had learned that everything could be an useful item in given situations...

...even a pair of large blue pilot goggles.

Strapping them to her forehead, she walked outside her room, closed the door, and decided to go to the kitchen, to pick up some food.

-Zero-

Zero blinked, as he saw the odd manner the odd creature got up... but he didn't have time for that. Readying another charge, he watched him, waiting for his next move.

Harpuia scowled at the Necromancer as he tried to think. What could he do? He couldn't call lightning without his right arm functioning and the shockwave would get too weak if he tried just using his left arm. He looked down at his legs. He had one attack left. But it was too weak. He would need more energy than his current level to perform it at a useful strength. Then he looked at the paralyzed arm. Then he got an idea.

He halved the energy used for his right arm, and sent the rest to his legs. The boosters that were actually placed there for more efficent air-movement started to hum strangely at this new power. Not wasting more time, Harpuia readied the left V-Hanger. But stopped. If he charged like he planned, utilizing the boosters for maximum speed and then attack the fiend with his Hanger, the Necromancer would notice him far too early. He would dodge easily and all of the energy would be wasted. Then Harpuia noticed Zero, who was charging up for another attack. Maybe...if Harpuia charged right after the Necromancer tried to dodge, then he the odds for hitting rose to a massive 90%. Yes. He would have to try that.

"Even if I could have severed it of my own will? Have it your way I guess."

On cue the Keyblade began to drag weakly along the ground back to Troy, indicating that he had been at least speaking some truth. He crouched down and it dissolved back into its host. He pivoted on his feet as he rose again, not letting Shadow have the satisfaction of seeing his reaction. He nonchalantly marched off in the direction of the swirling void.

Troy waited for the darkness around him to completely cloud his sight again before heaving a sigh. "You're not the only one getting tired of games."

"His last few transmissions were... well, a little strange." A teenage girl, with dull red hair braided into two strands behind her head, watched as Auron continued putting cans of cheap foods into a cupboard.

"He always was the 'special' one."

"...what I mean to say is... he said he was headed out this morning to meet with some old associates of his, so he says... since you tried calling him back to the base a little while ago, we've been hearing every single thing he's been saying, but it's been mostly static. We also... can't trace any of his transmissions. We're experiencing jamming on his end far more powerful than we've ever experienced. I think something is very wrong."

"He does that when he wants someone else to do his assignments for him." Auron never looked away, continuing to sort through an armful of canned raviolis. "So what made you bring this to my attention?"

"He's attempted to tear Ragnarok out of himself multiple times in the past half hour. His vitals are fluctuating. We can't decipher anything else."

Auron froze with his arm stuck halfway into the opening. Slowly his head lowered. "The next time you hear him, Monica, notify me immediately."

Monica nodded fervently.

-BATTLE SYSTEM NOTES-

One should note that the battle system is very much like the one in Whack-A-Clone (see sign-up thread in the Sim-Battle forum).

One note to keep in mind is that the colors for the "life meters" were changed to make it more clear how many "layers" of health characters have left.

Before, it was as such:

four layers
three layers
two layers
final layer

Now, the new color chart is as such:

four layers
three layers
two layers
final layer

I hope this change will help making it clearer how much health a particuliar foe has left.

-Ex Lightheart-

Once in the kitchen, Ex would find out that the place already had supplies on the table. Many kinds of fruits, meat in compact containers, water, many types of juices, Definitely enough food for a few days, at least.

As Ex would stuff all of it in her backpack, she would get this feeling...

Yes, she should leave for the ruins soon but yet... for some reason, she felt that if she had to have one last look at the city and saying goodbye to her friends before leaving, it was now...

-Zero-

The Necromancer, seeing Zero charge again, begun to step backward a bit...

"Hmph! So you aren't weak... I'll give you that! But... you will not prevail!"

The Necromancer begun to glow... and slowly, the mechanical shell that covered its true form begun to fall off. That thing wasn't a Reploid!

It was some kind of weird red alien thingy. Although it did have vaguely the shape of the junk mess it once was... the fact was that this new form was covered in tentacles. Energy signals coming from it were totally messed up... Somehow, it didn't have any vital readings and yet, it definitely had high energy readings...

The thing spoke... but it seemed that in this new form, its ability to talk was made void.

(Lemurian)
-Harpuia-

The thing didn't seem to pay attention to Harpuia... and then, out of a sudden, its armor fell off, revealing that it was some kind of biological life-form!... well, if that thing can be called biological.

As Troy crossed the void, he suddenly found himself elsewhere...

He was in some kind of circus tent... except that everything was so... so... weird.

The fact that the whole world was upside-down and that he was actually walking on the ceiling while some clowns of sorts were walking on the floor was weird enough.

For some reason, a message could be heard...

"Find the Castle of Curses painting and burn it. Only then will you escape from this twisted world."

At this moment, the clowns turned to face Troy. Their eyes were empty and they had creepy smiles on their faces. Then, slowly, they took out knives from under their clothes... "You will love this! Let's all play!" yelled one of the clowns.

"Now if I were a psychotic street performer, where would I hide a rare painting?"

Troy moved forward, feeling the cloth under his feet deform. He was unsure what lied 'under' him. Half of him didn't want to find out. His eyes locked on the deformed figures on the solid ground opposite him as Chronicle flashed back into his hands - Ragnarok was out of the question. He could no longer afford the drain on his vitality against a foe that was more than likely resistant to it.

Troy's eyes flitted around. He'd need to find something to remove himself from his current surface, or at least keep himself in the air, if he wanted to retain his mobility. A trapeze hung towards the ground. Plan A was established. He'd need to think on the move if that failed - flawless flight would suck the energy from his jump jets in a minute or less.

A flash of blue light erupted from a pair of metal rods that folded out of the back of Troy's shell. He vaulted across the room, planting his feet firmly against the swing. It lurched backwards, and as it reeled back again, Troy twisted and leapt back off, hurling himself up at one of the lesser Copelias in a spinning cleave. He knew he would have to keep his back covered.

-Ex Lightheart-

Having put the last of the food items on her backpack, she zipped it closed once more, making sure that she hadn't missed a thing.

However... that nagging feeling didn't leave her... and as she looked at the exit doors, while walking away from the kitchen, she decided to head out and speak with everyone. After all... who knew what was going to happen there?

-Zero-

Zero blinked, as he saw how... weird the thing was now. Definitely not human... and even if it was, he didn't have enough time to consider an alternate manner of dealing with it. Better kill it now, while they still could...

Holstering his Z-Buster, he took out his saber once more, taking a dashing start, before attempting to smash the blade on the creature's body. Even if it blocked the main strike, the plasma released upon contact was bound to harm it somewhat.

Harpuia stared at the...creature, in the lack of better words. That wasn't normal, not at all. He maintained the energy-concentration, though. It was no use trying to attack with this charge now, so he would stick to the original plan. But one thing he was gonna try. He activated the SquadCom and contacted the Falcon.

"Falcon, you saw all that?" "Affirmative, commander," the confirmation came from the Reploid Falcon. "Send all possible info to the HQ and see if they can find anything." Harpuia commanded. "Affirmative," replied the Falcon and transmitted the message to the HQ. Maybe they could find anything on this thing.

(Letter H)
-Ex Lightheart-

Upon getting out of the ancient laboratory that had been improvised into her adoptive father's and her own home, Ex found herself before the city of Dawn XIV.

Ridiculous name aside, many clues that her adoptive father had found in his researchs seemed to confirm the city's local legends... which were that this city was actually built by the ancient specie known as the "Hunters"... which means that once, long ago, the inhabitants of this world lived alongside the Hunters. The legends did not speak of why they left and no clues toward this matter were found yet...

... but if the Hunter computer mainframe, which was in the mountains, could be activated... maybe they would find out about everything that happened back then?

Regardless of this fact... the city was a beautiful one. Located at the base of a beautiful mountain made of azure rock, the city was one of technology and knowledge. Metallic highways from ages unknown linked the massive skyscrapers that made up the city's content. Hunter technology was incredible and as such, most of the skyscrapers had that strange, pure white yet somewhat shiny and reflective surface that revealed that they were made of that ancient Hunter alloy.

While the machinery inside the buildings was either damaged beyond repair or was sent to various laboratories, the fact that the structures were still standing and would actually be still standing long after most of the structures built by the inhabitants would crumble revealed how effective was the Hunters' construction methods...

This city was mostly inhabited by humans... but according to the legends, Hunters had brought foreign but compatible sentient life-forms to this world with them and left them there when they left. Although no traces of non-human civilizations from before the Hunters' arrival could be found, the thought that many of her friends could actually be aliens, just like she was, might come off as slightly amusing to Ex.

But well, it was no big mystery... she wasn't from this world. Everyone knew that. She was... different... from the others. Everything about her seemed... abnormal. Her energy readings, her abnormally developed sight and hearing, her almost unnatural ease to concentrate almost to the point of reaching a stance of trance, the basically robotic precision of her movements...

Ex was a walking enigma. Nobody knew why she came, where she came from, and how she came into being... and "nobody" include herself, unfortunately. The fact that her DNA was somehow encripted and that her memory had some kind of "defense mechanisms" as her father called them made it all harder...

But well, anyway...

The city lies in front of her. She knows that she could borrow one of her father's vehicles... or maybe she could go on foot? After all, she was pretty fast!... maybe a bit too much... but well, anyway!

She knew that many of her friends lived in the skyscraper the closest to the laboratory, at the first exit on the left highway. If she went to the shopping mall tower at the second exit of the right highway, she would probably find a few more of them. The highschool tower to the edge of this city's section was a bit far... but if she went there, she would probably find people to whom to talk... although she also knew the possibility she would run into people she don't like at all was very real.

Now... where to and how?... such is the question...

-Zero-

As Zero charged foward, the Necromancer did some kind of movement with its tentacles and...

FWOOOOSH!

Out of a sudden, a massive mass of destroyed Reploid corpses emerged from the ground forming a thick wall three times Zero's height right in front of him! The width of the wall was about seven times Zero's width ; dashing around it would be difficult.

There was barely any time to stop. Zero didn't have much choices than to stop in his tracks... unless he wanted to crash into the wall.

(Lemurian)
-Harpuia-

Out of a sudden, Zero dashed toward the thing with his Z-saber in hand... only to have a wall of Reploid corpses block his path at the last second. The thing turned to Harpuia, floating above the ground, staring at him with its sole red eye...

At this moment, Harpuia received the requested information.

"No data found. In fact, we don't want to be rude... but the energy readings you sent us are probably due to an interference in your systems. No Reploid or life-form could possibly have such readings and the description of the subject is corresponding with no Reploid and no life-forms in our database."

Troy succeeded into reaching the trapeze. As Troy came close and struck the closest Copelia, the impact caused its head to split wide open... but rather than shower the place with blood, the creature burst open, sending cards, plastic toys, balloons, and all kinds of other weird stuff flying about as the creature disappeared in colored puffs of smoke. The fact that the creature's disappearance was accompanied by a weird fanfare only made it more weird.

That was... messed up.

Still, somehow, Troy would know that the creature was terminated... which was good.

What wasn't is that the two other Copelias had begun to climb nearby ladders to try and reach Troy's trapeze while the stronger, black-clothed one made a backflip... and also thrown its knives at Troy with extreme precision!

Those knives were small... but they sure look sharp! Being hit ought to hurt...

Ex took a good look at the city ahead of her, her mind thoughtful. For some reason, she felt a longing for this place, as if it might be a while until she'd see it again... an odd, peculiar feeliing...

...what was she thinking?! She was being ridiculous! To leave Dawn XIV, like that, was rather... well, excessive. Just because she was going to maybe learn more about her origin, it didn't mean she was going to leave!

...right?

Shaking her head, she ignored those weird thoughts of hers. For now, she'd better go find her friends... and while she could use one of her father's vehicles, to go visit her friends would be too much of a hassle... maybe later. For now, she'd just run towards it!

...without running too fast, that is.

-Zero-

'Damn!' Zero thought, groaning, as he reduced his speed rapidly. At least his dashing capacities weren't too malfunctioned...

Jumping back, he tried to scan the wall with his eyes, searching for an opening, any at all...

Troy landed back where he started, grunting as he heard the whistling of blades in the air. A white blur enveloped his front side as the daggers struck him, several being repelled with the sounds of bullets being deflected.

"That..." Troy wiped a trickle of blood from his cheek. "...was fast." He let go of one of the trapeze ropes, finding one of the stray blades had dangerously frayed it. "I'm a sitting duck as long as I have to juggle myself in the air... if I had a better footho..."

Troy suddenly resumed swinging wildly in front of him. It wasn't apparent at first, but dull clunks began echoing out from around the room - metal digging into wood. In a bright flash, energy blades similar to the ones he had thrown earlier bursted into existence, lodging their teeth into the wooden supports of the tent to create miniature sets of 'branches'. Troy leapt back to the closest pillar, maneuvering around it to the next Copelia. "That mistake costs you... one flunkie!"

"Shimattaze!" Harpuia swore heavily. If that shield was there every time he tried to attack, he was toast. Plus the fact that the enemy in front of him was impossible. And now he was the sole interesting thing for the Necromancer. Not good. Not at all.

He ran a quick check on his resources. Repairs of paralyzis still had a while to go, but the drills had restocked. He lifted his left arm again and prepared for a special drill. He cut the energy needed to make them soundless and instead forced more power on the rocket engine. Then he fired it, hoping that it would penetrate the shield before firing its electrical force.

Oy, some sorta letter of the alphabet told me to join this. Izzat allowed?

Name: Fawful

Specie: Bean

Age: ...Er, let's go with 10. He's a young maniac.

Gender: Male

Personality: Though young, he is quite intelligent, and enjoys spending time developing doom weapons. In short, he is a techonological master.

Perhaps stemming from his youth, Fawful has the irritating habit of disrespecting any and all he meets. He hates being around all sorts of people, excepting perhaps his former mistress, seeing them as below him. His insults are many, though are sometimes hard to decipher; he speaks in odd Engrish.

Background story: Fawful worked under the witch Cackletta for quite some time, whilst she tried to take over the Beanbean Kingdom. He was truly loyal to her, and worked to help her in defeating those hated brothers Red and Green, but in the end was defeated by them, and cast to the sea. He then took up residence in the sewers beneath Princess Peaches' castle, exchanging beans for badges, quietly soaking in fury.

-Ex Lightheart-

Ex ran through the city, the wind blowing in her hair and her large ears as she ran at a speed that most creatures could only dream of. As usual, there were those who would look at the yellow creature running so quickly... but by now, the yellow wonder was pretty well-known.

Nearby, at the nearest exit, there was a skyscraper... and inside, her friends.

However, as she neared the exit, Ex saw... them. A tall, blonde teengage human female, a humanoid female fox, and a hawk-like figure with male traits.

Felicia and her friends, pitiful bullies who chose Ex as their favorite target.

The annoying group was busy throwing rotten eggs at passing hover cars when they noticed Ex running through. Smiling, Felicia placed herself in the way...

"What do we have here? Looks like the "amazing" alien mouse-rat thing!" stated the human female, grinning.

To find an alien life-form was not a common event... to find one that could run five times faster than your average person was even less common. To find such a creature that was obviously a creation of the Hunters was even more uncommon. Thus, Ex was quite the interesting subject for the local population... and Ex's fame fueled the human's hatred toward the humanoid Pichu.

Felicia's friends placed themselves at the sides of the human, all of them grinning evily... "Hey! What's the rush? You got a date with a mouse trap? Heehehee..."

-Zero-

There were no openings in the wall. In fact... it was a bit TOO compact. It was as if a force was keeping it together...

BAM!

Then, a while later, what seemed to be an electrical drill's explosion blown a hole through the wall! It wasn't enough to cross the wall and get close to the Necromancer... but it was more than big enough to allow for a long-range attack!

(Lemurian)
-Harpuia-

With the wall separating Zero from the Necromancer, the ugly creature turned to Harpuia. "Now... it's just us two..." hissed the creature in an unknown language... and yet, strangely enough, Harpuia somehow understood the words...

At this moment, the Necromancer moved its tentacles with absolutely amazing speed and grabbed the drill out of mid-air!... and then, thrown it into the wall, making an opening in it by mistake. "PAH! Is that all the so-called mighty Reploids can do? How disappointing!"

"Ha... haha... ha! Let's play! Whee!" taunted the black-colored Copelia, standing upside-down on the trapeze, taking out a set of cards.

The clown-like entity then thrown the cards and, using some kind of mysterious power, hurled them at Troy! For some reason, Troy had the feeling that those cards would actually be MUCH deadlier than the knives from before.

Fortunately, the black Copelia's aim obviously sucks ; the creature missed and the cards are sailing straight toward the sealed door, away from Troy.

During this time, the two other remaining regular Copelias are juggling with grenades, laughing like the insane fools they were, seemingly paying no attention to Troy anymore...

-Fawful-

Boring, boring was the day. No customers... nothing. Nothing good, nothing bad either. Stupid Bloopers who appear out of nowhere and swallow precious badges. Stupid stupid stupid!

... and the place stinks!... but well, at least, the inhabitants of the castle above are leaving him alone.

But then, ever since Mario and Bowser killed each others, years ago during that so-called final battle, there hadn't been much if any business at all... not that he would cry a river over the ultimate doom of the one who humiliated him years ago. Oh well...

One would think that with Mario gone, the Mushroom Kingdom would have fallen into ruin... but with the Koopa King gone, the Koopa Kingdom signed a peace treaty with the Mushroom Kingdom. Looks like most of the Koopas weren't really evil and were just following Bowser for some reason in his crazy plans.

Sure, various villains rose at times... but none of them were remotely as serious as Bowser was... and when serious villains appeared, Luigi and Yoshi would swiftly take care of them in a way that would make the green brother's own brother proud... Curse that Luigi and that Yoshi! Not only are they annoying heroes but they don't come down to do business! Stupid!

Thus, those were boring, boring peaceful times...

...

BOOOOM!

... or maybe those boring times are FINALLY coming to an end?

It had been a while since there last was an earthquake... especially one caused by an explosion at the surface!

... ugh! Stupid pieces of the ceiling crumbling down! What's going on above?

... who knows... and do Fawful really cares? Find out, he could... or maybe, he might not! He is the one who knows how his above-average brain of evilness works!

-Ex Lightheart-

Ex slid to a halt, before groaning. Not those guys... she didn't have enough patience to deal with them now! She just wanted to get inside the building, not get into a discussion with them! ...not that it'd actually count as a discussion, anyway...

"What's your problem, Felicia?" she asked, a bit irritated. "Can't you go bother someone else for a change?"

-Zero-

Zero's frown disappeared, even as he took out his Z-Buster again. If he couldn't get close enough for his Saber to work, he'd just use what he had...

Taking aim, he fired a charged blast, aimed at the Necromancer's body.

Fawful pouted and fiddled with a bean on the desk. Stupid beans and stupid badges and stupid sewers that stunk like a stupid baby that would one day grow a big, hairy, stupid mustache!

He loathed it all. The shop, the sewers, the castle above the sewers, the Mushroom Kingdom, all of it. Oh, how he longed for the days when he terrorized the Beanbean Kingdom under the rule of the wonderful and evil Cackletta... He sighed ruefully. Not a day passed that he wished he could find the great sorceress who raised him and taught him the wonderfulness of being evil...!

Yet, there was no point to resorting to depressing thoughts like these. Cackletta would not want him to mope about like this... Though, she wouldn't want him to hide in the sewage of his enemies, either.

The young bean pouted and lay his head on the desk. "I have displeasure," he murmured miserably. What could he do, but stay down here?

But suddenly, a thundering noise penetrated through the earth, echoing through the pipes he'd taken residence in. The shop rumbled violently, and Fawful fell from his chair. "What is the stupidness that is this!" he yelled--it was not a question, for Fawful did not ever ask things of those who were stupider than he-- and tried to stagger back upright again. Straightening his coke-bottle glasses, he glared at the leaks bursting in the pipes and the chunks of ceiling tumbling down to splash in the sewage. He growled.

"What fink-rat does this which is destroying my shop of beaning and badging! They must be big and dumb like a sandwich of olives, which is gross and stupid and no one likes it! I have spent a long time making this shop of dumbness that I hate, and these stupid explosions are having the destruction of my hard work! I HAVE FURY!"

He seethed. In the couple years he'd spent by himself, with so few customers to fill his time, he'd gotten into the habit of talking to himself--namely in times of fury. And now, certainly, was a furyful time. He had half a mind to don his helmet and have a vengeance filled with explosion and fury, but he knew better than to venture above the pipes... he was a wanted bean, and to reveal himself to too many would be dangerous to his freedom. After all, the stupid green brother and his stupid dino-tongued friend would likely take care of the offender before anything more could come of it...

He stood a moment, tiny fists balled with frustration, and then moodily sat behind his desk, straightening a tipped jar of beans. "Such fury..." he murmured. Cackletta would be so dissapointed to see him reduced to this level, cowering in the sewers and letting his enemies solve any problems that may arise. He furrowed his brow, and announced, "If the stupidness that is exploding shall continue to irk that who is me, I shall go rain the anger that is mine upon those who are worthless and also dumb!" He sat back, seeming quite pleased with his proclamation to no one. Yes indeed, if his fury be invoked once more, there should indeed be reckoning, but until then, he would remain in his damaged, stinky store.

Just the two of them. Harpuia smiled. This was what he had been waiting for. A duel with an amazing opponent. He had never had such a challenge since he battled Zero last. There was no opponent great enough in the Neo Arcadia capable of being even a challenge to him. This was what he had been waiting for. Now he could go all out.

"Repairs complete," a small voice in his helmet rung out. Harpuia's smile grew. Perfect. Now, he was ready to strike. He raised both V-Hangers over his head and started charging electricity. Then, he released it into the air, making the lightning come crashing down.

Troy quickly pivoted around the pillar he was on, hoping to use his pillar to block the attack... but the howl in air tearing by him indicated that he hadn't been aimed at at all. He watched the slits fly through the air towards a gate that he had not seen before.

"Clues..." Troy hesitated for a moment before stopping where he was. He cast his arm out in front of him and jerked back, causing one of the blades on one of the farthest pillars to remove itself and fly backwards in a violent spin. The blur intercepted the cards and deflected them in random directions - at this point it was easy to see that they had some seething, unidentifiable energy about them... Troy winced as he realized he'd lost track where they all went. Maybe he'd made a mistake.

Troy made another arm gesture as he prepared to leap to the next set of ledges in line, causing the still airborne blade to arc around and hurl itself in the direction of the grenadier Copelias... though not directly at them...
