| OFF: Finally, I am back!
Anyway... the reason for my silence was because that I was posting fanfiction and RPs on another board... but I quickly found out that the place is totally corrupted ; boot-lickers and mods who consider the forum their personal playground rule the place. You worship the mods or you're banned. Unable to take it anymore, I realized that I was neglecting one of the bvest boards on the entire internet... this one. So... I am back. ... and as a sign of my return, I shall revive the RP which made me semi-famous around here. ____________________________________________________________________ Welcome to Chronicles of Darkness! The premise is simple: you can sign in as nearly any character since this is a SSBM-based RP. Exceptions: you cannot use Mario and the Nintendo main villains (Bowser, Kamek, Ganondorf, King K. Rool, Ridley, Mother Brain, Bowser Jr., 02, Andross, Mewtwo). Sign-up for your character goes as such: Name: (your character's name) Specie: (what is it, exactely?) Age: (how old is your character?) Gender: (male? female? genderless?... or downright weird?) Personality (some guidelines on how your character acts in various situations) Background story: (what is your character's background story? Also a test to see if you have enough knowledge about said character to use him/her/it should it happen not to be a custom character) NOTES: You can be almost anything you want... but here is one guideline: at least one person should have one of its characters' specie set to "Ex being". Else, I'll automatically add one to the party. Those who participated in the old Chronicles of Darkness-based RPs and Simbattles know what is an "Ex" being already... for the others, you'll find out during the course of this RP. The background story won't be revealed right away ; it will be up to you, the players, to discover what's going on as the story progress. The battle system will also be detailed during the RP so don't worry about stats... and when they'll come into play, I'll be the one who will do the maths ; no need for you to take in mind tons of numbers to enjoy this RP. | Smash Bros, eh? I'm intrigued.
Name: Samus Aran Specie: Human Age: 24 Gender: Female Personality Samus is tough. She's gotta be to survive in harsh places. She's a kind soul, but is not afraid to take off the gloves when the chips are down, and is an adept fighter in both ranged and melee attacks. She's a beautiful blonde woman with a traumatizing and enigmatic past that she is not usually willing to share. The scars that mar her body are living proof of her tough existance. Background story: Born on a small mining colony in the far reaches of a distant galaxy, Samus enjoyed her early childhood in the lush forests. Her father was the chief engineer of a small mining operation. One fateful day while Samus was inthe forest, the Space Pirate organization, headed by Ridley, attacked her colony, snuffing every flame of life, except hers, for she was not to be found among the villagers. After the predators left, and she emerged from teh woods to see everyone dead, the Chozo, who had been en route to her planet picked her up and cared for her. As she grew, they trained her, and she bacme one with the Chozo. She inherited a suit of Powered Armor, which she was taught to use with skill. Eventually, at the age of 15, the Space Pirates decided to erradicate the Chozo, as well. She escaped with a ship, and managed to arrive at a space colony, wherein she enrolled at the Space Police Acadmy therein. After learning the trade and climbing the ranks quickly, she retired at age 22 and took up the job of a freelance bounty hunter, as to make some more money. | I assume you don't HAVE to be a SSBM character? Although then the custom character thing would be pretty pointless...
Name: Sanigen Specie: Human Age: 14 Gender: Male Personality: Sanigen can usually be seen as very brave. He is usually happy and it takes a lot to anger him or make him sad. He doesn't like to kill but he will if he is either ordered to by someone higher than him, or if someone's life is in danger (Not an enemy's life of course) Background story: Sanigen's life was never too good. Both his parents were murdered around 3 months after his birth, although the killer did not care much about killing him or his sister. Soon after, his uncle took them both to live with him. His uncle, being a master of dark magic, taught Sanigen how to perform dark magic. His sister was unable to perform such magic, and her uncle hated her for it, so she had ran away when Sanigen was only 2 years old. When Sanigen got to the age of ten, his uncle died from a heart attack. He stayed in the house for four years, practising his powers. He currently roams around randomly, doing anything he can to help for the good of the world. |

Age: Young Teen Species: Human/Ex Gender: Female Personality: A short fuse sometimes, sometimes very kind and understanding, but usually she tries to stay way from people she doesn't know or doesn't like. She excels in a variety of magical attacks that seem to change her personality while in battle. Background: Mel seeks her father, she doesn't know his name, or even what he looks like. Her mother was against it, but she couldn't stand the thought that her father had left them and so she vowed to find him and make him apologize. Mel has always been much stronger than a normal person, she figured that had to do with her mom being really different or something. Age: 15 Species: Koopa Gender: Male Personality: Far too energetic for his own good, it's unknown whether Troy is better equipped to prove himself to others or actually accomplish tasks. Still, he has a fair amount of experience adventuring, and knows when and where to exert caution. Background: Troy originally signed up for the military reserve of his world's dominant power, expecting a lazy job with occaisional training - this was cut short by the outer-space invasion of the mind-altering parasite known as the Vast, which inexplicably caused the main nations to turn on each other in war. The oracle Sirius eventually lead Troy to discover the long-disused Chronicle keyblade, which Troy was able to use to partially drive away the sentient disease. Tensions still run high, but Troy himself has turned to travelling far and wide to discover new keyblades, their true latent powers, and their origins. |

| OOC: I'm joining! But my Character Profile is HUGE... Take the link in my sig to get to it.
His name is Zin. He's a Psi Warrior Scientist. Most of his attacks are listed in his Profile, but there's a huge amount to list all at once. Note: Zin will play as a Supporting Caster for the rest of those in the game. He is not very good offensively, though. His abilities should severely bolster the party's overall efficiency. Finally: When the game actually starts, I'll have some story background as to why he decided to come along for this challenge. I look forward to roleplaying with you after so long, "Admiral" Zero! You pour your heart into your RPs, and I say to the rest of those signed up here: You're in for a TREAT!! Edit for Zerodius: I guess a summarized version of the Bio and Past wouldn't hurt... In Zin's life, he's been a mage (of Arcane, Divine AND Dark magic), an astronomer, and later a Psi Warrior. He has tried all kinds of magic to study why magic works the way it does (Arcane Physics). (As you should know, Magic is NOT an anything goes miracle; it has to follow a certain set of Physics.) Later on in life, he accidentally used forbidden magic, and he became a Psi Warrior to learn Spiritual Physics as well. He is now a Psi Scientist, and his job is to engineer new Techs for the Psi Warriors. To learn more of Psi Warriors in general, see Schwa's Profile. Age Unkown Species Space Pirate (from Metroid) Sex Male Personality An outcast and a loner, Dariuj has no friends. He is reserved about his past and like most space pirates, would rather let his claws do the talking. Quick to fight, but slow to anger, Dariuj is a true warrior and a force to be reckoned with Background Originally serving under Mother Brain, Dariuj was an esteemed pirate warrior. During the occupation of the second Zebes (Super Metroid), Dariuj was in charge of the squad assigned to gaurd the entrance to Tourian, were the reborn Mother Brain commanded her forces from. However, he and his squad failed in their duty. Samus Aran defeated all of Dariuj's warriors and was able to gain entrance to Mother Brains sanctuary. Barely escaping Samus' attack with his life, Dariuj gave chase, but when he arrived at Mother Brain's cradle, he was too late. Fleeing the exploding planet Zebes and the vengeful Space Pirates, who held him responsible for Mother Brain's defeat, Dariuj became a bounty hunter. | Well, this is what I could manage with my mind as-is... I might develop it more later. Or not. I hope it gets good either way. As usual, contains spoilers... lots of them. Some of them invented, some not. Don't blame me, though.
Name: Zero Omega Specie: Android/Reploid Age: 285 years of age/17 years in appearance Gender: "Male"/Genderless Personality: Zero is quite reclusive, not tending to speak more than he feels necessary. Despite being an android, he is quite human in his actions. He also tends to go for more 'straight-to-the-point' solutions, usually based on what information he gathers. While he would prefer to remember more of his past with X, he tries to not let his doubts interfere with his missions. Also, he is not bound by any of the three robotic laws; rather, he follows orders because he wants to. Background Story: Zero is not a common Reploid, unlike what most people would believe. Having been created by Dr. Albert W. Wily several centuries ago, he was supposed to be the ultimate war android... and the virus he carried. It is unknown what happened then, although he somehow was deactivated and left in a stasis pod for years. Several years later, he was awakened somehow, and began a murderous rampage. He managed to nearly defeat Sigma, the leader of Maverick Hunters with ease... until a programming 'defect' caused him to falter and be defeated. However, this was not the end of Zero... for he was taken by a now infected Sigma to the Maverick Hunters Headquarters. Soon after recovery, Zero became a Maverick Hunter... shortly before Sigma went Maverick, taking several others with him, and began his history of destruction. Several times Zero and X, his best friend, faced off against Sigma and the Mavericks. The battles were horrible... and the threat was such that, after one certain battle, Zero was left nearly destroyed, in a horrible state. His soul had to be taken into another body, in order to sustain it... a body which was based off design schematics from his previous body, but enhanced to favor speed rather than defense. Some time later, his original body was rebuilt, based off the same schematics, but he chose to stay in his new body, as he was just used to it already. However, Zero soon found out his body had a terrible defect... it was still infected by the Maverick virus, despite not affecting him. After a particularly bad battle, he sealed himself for 100 years, hoping to purify himself, so that he would never be able to bring forth such trouble again. At that time, however, he was awakened by Ciel, a young human cientist on the run from Neo Arcadia, a ruthless utopia governed by none other than X... or rather, a copy of him. Zero faced off against Copy X, destroying him in the process, and later had to fight the new leader of the Resistance, Elpizo, in order to stop him from destroying Neo Arcadia. Currently, he just stays at the Resistance base, in recon missions, mostly. |

To Clockworkz and Zerodius: On the subject of Samus, I always thought of her as slightly tomboyish-- I mean, think about it... You'd kinda HAVE to be to be able to emotionally deal with some of the graphic fights or experiences she's gone through. Same with that chick in the Tomb Raider series, though I've never played any of those... Even still, they wouldn't act like guys-- they'd just be, well, tomboyish. 
That's just my thoughts anyway. And on Ex-beings: Of course, since I didn't make them, Zerodius can explain a helluva lot better than I... From what I understand, the Ex species are "living weapons" from another Possibility, and the most famous one is Ex Lightheart, who looks like a female humanoid Pichu in our Plane of Existance. I've fought her in the Arena, and her weapon (which I THINK is the sig weapon for all Ex beings) is a copy (or the origional, I'm not sure) of "Dark Weapon", a biological sword made of flesh with the passive ability to oblitherate weapons it comes in contact with. Am I accurate, Z? Just trying to help. |
