That sounds great.
Although something bothers me... Are the "S" blocks going to be replaced in later versions?
Instead of just having a sprite symbol, maybe you could program the application to load the graphics and the palette from the sprite's location and thus, making it actually viewable?
This way it'd be easier to work with, and would have support for edited graphics.
(Instead of just having images of enemies, like some editors do..)

Actually, yes that's my plan. As soon as I can get door editing and levels done. I'll be working on the sprite tables. Albeit a sprite editor will be done. Only one position of a sprite will be loaded. So no arguements there. But yeah i'll have support for that.

Excellent! What about sprites that have no outlook?
Like Generators, Events, Triggers..?

I much prefer the name 'Zero Fission' -- an allusion to the other Metroid handheld game, while at the same time describing exactly what your program does: take the game apart.

Sprites cover everything. Elevators, Chozos, enemies, some depend on the type of interaction byte they have in the level data, MZM is quite fun. =D

I call it Zero Fusion Editor which has the name intials as Zero Fission Editor

ZFE pronunce it you get Ziffie. So whatever =P

And the project converting is going well. Might see a Christmas release.

I don't mind either. Best not to rush a genius.

I don't think interdepth mentioned anything about gfx decompression. But if he does add that feature, then the greatness of his editor would begin to rival a certain jumping man's editor. By the way, are you planning on allowing the map layout to be edited?

Alright you guys want an update?

Well, I do have a life that involves a girlfriend, so that's taking a toll on the editor, and i'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2, and I got school.

Anyway, I got most of my functions ready to go. Right now i'm working on the GUI and how to handle the events since they're different then in VB. GFX Compression, as in Tilesets? That'll be easy. Minimap? Already figured that data out. So that's done. I could probably whip up a viewer in VB. But I'm focusing in C. And a christmas release is not likely. Sorry :/

Next update will be when I can get Tilesets too load. So keep this topic alive!

It's not that important, most important is just that you won't stop... once you stop, you probably would never want to start again... or, is that just me?

Minimap data is just LZ77 Compressed and the graphics are uncompressed wasn't really that hard to do. I'm designing the new interface. So it'll look better in C. It's going great. I'm getting used to the API and stuff so a screenshot at least will be shown by Christmas. =P have fun waiting. If anyone wants to know any data lemme know
