Ok, this edits the level headers, so you can choose different music, new offsets for maps and stuff, How fast the bg moves for water and stuff, Um enemy spriteshets and things. Have fun and make little lame hacks. Or use it for learning. Coded in VB6. And Yes, I am working on a full MZM editor. If you're a coder in VB6 and C I could really use your help. Anyhow please enjoy and leave feed back.

Edit: Ok didn't see the file I thought I uploaded so I have to reupload this.

This is for the English ROM.

Because I can't find any other versions. Only U and E which this editor works for. Oh and my editor should be beta by mid-summer.

I hope you can edit music when certain events happen. I want the Tourian music to play during the Ridley and Kraid fights like in the original Metroid.

Yeah, I think I'll ditch hacking Super Metroid when the Zero Mission map editor is done. I just realized how much better Zero Mission is engine-wise than Super Metroid, I'm wondering how hard it'll be to change the events, if they're hard coded or not.

Ok well if you're wondering here's a pic of the current editor. All graphics are loaded from the ROM. I have a semi-working RLE decompressor, and i'm trying to get this TSA coding down right. Warning big image couldn't make the HTML fit on one line if anyone would like to correct please do.

Better physics, speed, etc. I wasn't commenting on the coding itself if that's what you think.

As for chaging events, do you mean like which rooms or enemies change after which events, or do you mean coding the events yourself? If you mean the first, then yes, it's very possible. As for changing things like how ridley shows up after getting unknown item 3, that still needs to be found, and I think it's hard coded.

Both, actually. I'll use an example, typing it out made it sound too confusing to me, and I typed it

The Long Beam: After you pick up the Long Beam the door in the room above locks, forcing you to enter the statue room. Entering the statue room triggers an enemy to fall in the room with the lock, which when defeated unlocks the door.

What I want to know is if it's possible to:

A. Change the object that triggers this event.
B. Change the room the door is in that's affected.
C. Change the room that causes the enemy to fall.
D. Change the condition for unlocking the door.

If it's not possible I'll have to work around such issues when I'm planning my hack.
