I'm 'eating' some string cheese right now. The actual amount I have actually consumed so far is minimal because I'm too busy dividing it into a lump of infinitely smaller strings. Expect me to be finished by the heat death of the universe.

That's the only way to eat the stuff.

It's called string cheese because you peel it off into strings

What brand is it? A lot of brands of it don't actually string very well for me. Halfway down it just breaks off. Though they're good even as one big block, and it doesn't matter if they sit in a backpack for a few days.

It's not too often that I ever have string cheese readily available, as I'd have to buy it myself, and even then, there's a chance that other people in the house would get into it Dividing it into smaller and smaller strings is rather amusing, but given that fairly large fingers, I can only get them so small before they just get squished

I still remember seeing commercials on TV for them a while back, showing various designs and such made from them (now that I think of it, they were on the backs of some of the packages as well), and although I tried and tried to create a copy of whatever figure, I never could get it quite right

The first couple times I saw the commercials / packages, I asked my Mom to buy some next time she went grocery shopping. She did, but they ended up being the No-Name brand, which, for whatever reason was not flexible enough to have strings pulled off of it. I was disappointed about that, but still, I was only 12 or so at the time, so it's explainable

The only other thing I can remember about those right now happened, oh, say 4 or 5 years ago now. My Mom, brother, sister, and me were heading somewhere in the van, discussing what we'd want to save our money for. My sister said something about getting a computer (no, we didn't have one back then), my brother about getting a GBC or something, and I can't remember what my Mom said. My choice was a bit different though. I wanted to save up enough money to buy a pack of cheese strings, which I'd share with everyone, depending on how much I liked them at any point in time. Yeah. Something that doesn't even cost $5, and I have to save money to buy it

That's about all I can think of to say about those things right now though.

I used to eat the stuff all the time.

Sometimes I would eat the string cheese with a bannana.

Pull off a little bit, then fold it down against the side of the main log of cheese, then pull that direction (antiparallel!). Even the worst string cheese will string decently that way.

And string cheese is great. Second only to celery. But I'm weird.

I used to have string cheese all the time. Very good, and highly entertaining. I could sit there eatng the stuff for like, half an hour, simply pulling it apart very carefully and slowly.

My parents thought I was a nut for taking such care in eating cheese.

Celery eaters for the win!

Ever get it super-duper fresh so you could even eat the leaves? That's good stuff.

I'm not sure if the kind that my mom buys now is significantly different than what I got before, I've gotten worse at eating it somehow, or what...but I know that what I remember was very easy to get nice long strings off of, but the stuff in my fridge lately seems to come off in bigger pieces, or comes off long before the whole length of the stick of cheese.

Hmm, I actually seen it in shop before but string cheese products aren't very popular in Sweden if at all. I know what it is though, and it dosen't sound very healthy (cheese contains alot of fat after all ) but I found myself eating cheese raw at times so... heh.

Well, technically, theres cheese strings, and then theres the cheese *sticks*. The sticks basically LOOK like the string, but lack the taste, and the peelability. So they suck. And they're healthy....ewwww

Never actually had one. I've always been sneaking around hunks of mozzarella though. Or monty jack. They're good by 'emselves.

Looks like I am alone in not liking cheese very much.

Had string cheese a few times. Never was a big fan.

Oh. And I hate when people offer me grilled cheese sandwiches. I dislike those things alot.
