| Well, Danielle, it's pronounced "sheek" so you're right in that regard. I did a search on www.m-w.com for just that to see if it gave me the correct spelling, and it did. It's chic. Go to the site and see for yourself. It's a great place because it actually has the pronunciations of the words spoken rather than dealing with those weird phonetic symbols. | |||

| Part of it has to do with the fact that they use different voltages in their outlets. I'm not sure if that's all of it, or if there are other reasons...it could be just a historical accident. | |||
