Well, Danielle, it's pronounced "sheek" so you're right in that regard. I did a search on www.m-w.com for just that to see if it gave me the correct spelling, and it did. It's chic. Go to the site and see for yourself. It's a great place because it actually has the pronunciations of the words spoken rather than dealing with those weird phonetic symbols.

I like your layout but...

I can't help but think of Perdian when I see it.

Happened twice. This exact thread. And this exact post (The one I just quoted). I read it twice during different times and I thought it was Perdian.

True story.

It's true, guys.

First time:
ThoughtlessMind0 (10:11:05 PM): XD
ThoughtlessMind0 (10:11:13 PM): I didn't even notice KATW changed his layout.
ThoughtlessMind0 (10:11:22 PM): I thought it was one of Perdian's lay changes.

And later:
ThoughtlessMind0 (11:09:24 PM): Damn it.
ThoughtlessMind0 (11:09:34 PM): In the same thread I saw KATW"s new layout.
ThoughtlessMind0 (11:09:40 PM): And I thought it was Perdian.

I use Merriam Webster all the time. Great website to use if you need an online Dictionary or Thesauras.

Is it wrong that I am horribly amused whenever someone misspells dictionary, thesaurus, or encyclopedia?

Bah, I have that all beat. Stupid, pointless, AND related to the topic title...sort of.

That's from the UK, by the way...and I think it is a very nice plug

Liar. I cares about plugs. As a matter of fact, you should to. If it weren't for plugs, your computer or internet wouldn't be working right now.

Definitely not what I meant.

I appreciate plugs, but I am not interested in them. Reminds me of Ron's dad in Harry Potter, collecting plugs and bath duckies.

Why do they make plugs different in other countries? Why can't they all be the same?

Part of it has to do with the fact that they use different voltages in their outlets. I'm not sure if that's all of it, or if there are other reasons...it could be just a historical accident.

Or more specifically, for those curious but lazy people...
