| Forte only smirked, as he stood. Pie's combo strikes did connect, but only with the barrier that has absorbed all the hits and the so-called glitches and bad data. Once Pie performed the final combo strike, he spun around and lashes out with his Dark Sword, possibly slicing the rod in half, and if the angle was perfect enough -- his whole left arm from the shoulder joint, which would also deal in damage if connecting.
He then jumped back away from Pie, just as the Darkness Barrier shattered into millions of peices, like glass. "You should know kid, I can absorb glitches from attacks, making those said glitches no longer posing a threat to me." Number of Turns until recover of Darkness Barrier - 3 Rounds Left |

| Forte's counter did connect... and Pie's arm was severed. As soon as the arm was cut off, Pie's whole armor, his pale-gray complexion, and the madness of the grid around them vanished for just a fraction of a second. But before the change could be registered, Pie was floating in place again, with both arms and a whole rod. Pie continued as if nothing had happened.
Pie >> "Absorb glitches, you say? How so, if they are only broken data? You have a strange configuration... and I must acquire more of you." The grid had paused since it had been reset with Pie, but it began tracing Forte and Pie once again. The cybernetic warrior glided back and forth, erratically dodging the energy beams. Run Program > Pixel Storm On both sides of Forte, thousands of tiny, 2d objects materialized for a span of a few seconds. The colorless things ominously collected into a confusing mass like two rigid walls, and then suddenly closed on him! It did not happen at once; actually, the pixels sifted from each side one at a time, but the motion was so fast that all had completed their path in five seconds and dematerializing once more. The attack would deal heavy cyber and glitch damage, and was actually tricky to avoid. Pie >> "I’ll try a direct approach: who made you? " |

 Forte only grinned, and flipped Pie off as he effectively dodged the attack, only to be hit by one of those damned energy beams from the grid underneath him.
"My Get Ability Program can absorb anything I desire. Wether it be Bugfrags, glitches, or bad and/or corrupted data, anything can be absorbed thanks to the program created by Dr. Cossack. My creator... and who I considered my father... "Cossack was the only scientist in the Independant NetNavi Program. I was the successful results from Cossack's research. But, those bastard humans betrayed me, and wanted me dead all because of the fear that I may grow too powerful. "So they sent the Scilab Elite Corp to delete me. Naturally, I fought back for my survival... until..." Forte winched in pain, as that painful memory flashed through his mind. The leader of the Scilab Elite Corp slashing across his chest with the sword weapon. ".. Until the leader slashed across my chest with a sword." He pulled back his cloak, showing Pie the damaging slash that was dealt across the icon, "This damaged slash is a reminder ot me to NEVER, trust those fucking humans ever again..."  He grinned evily, as he covered his body with his cloak once more, moving away to avoid another grid laser attack.
"Of course... that slash only unlocked a seeded power, whiched allowed me to break free from the bonds that held my power dormant, and delete those human-operated Navis... I've trekked across the cyber world, deleted and absorbing the powers the the strong, and killing the weak... I sense a great power in you, so once I end this battle in my win, I'll absorb you... and be even more powerful..." |

| Pie impassively listened to Forte's story and regarded his scar with little interest. What had caught his attention was the mention of the Get ability, which sounded like an ingenious device. Pie decided that he was to attain this ability, even if it meant copying it from Forte. Just a few more minutes of battling and that would be a realistic option.
Pie >> Absorb this. Pie drew his rod and pointed it at Forte. The tip flashed with light, and then a powerful beam of bluish energy rushed forward at Forte! Like most of Pie's attacks, this would deal cyber as well as non-elemental damage. After he fired this attack, the grid managed to blast him with its own energy beam. Pie was stunned for a moment... |

| Forte only smirked. "And give you time to copy my Get Ability Program? Bullshit!" He fired off another Senshahou attack from his massive cannon like weapon that materialized over hsi right arm, the explosive force of energy rushing towards Pie's attack.
"The Get Ability Program is so complex. Many have tried to create an authentic program such as mine, but all pales to the original!" |

| Pie's cyber beam collided with Forte's attack to cause an explosion halfway between them, leaving both unharmed. The grid was stunned, however, and stopped its barrage of lasers. Pie recovered from his paralysis.
Pie >> "I will find a way to properly duplicate it. See?" Pie held his rod point-forward, and a sharp blade extended from its tip, crackling with blue electricity. With his other hand, he motioned at Forte, and fired a strange transparent chain-like beam at him. If Forte was caught in Pie's grapple beam, he'd slowly lose HP will in its grip - only light damage, although the health lost would be transferred to Pie for attack power. At the same time, he'd be pulled forward, with the end of the road leading straight into Pie's lethal-looking spear... |

| He grinned as he allowed the chain to grapple him, but them he placed his glowing left hand on the chain, dispite being drained of some HP...
... and made a copy of this ability! "You bastard!" He morphed his right arm into his buster before taking aim, and mimiced Pie's attack, hopefully the strange transparent chain-like beam will grapple Pie and deal in the same thing to the human. They are BOTH being pulled to one another... heh heh heh, Forte's sharp blade, his Dark Sword on the other arm. |

| Pie, being attached to Forte, wouldn't have been able to dodge if he even had been prepared. The energy chain latched onto him as well, and then both fighters were zooming toward each other, each prepared to skewer the other with their own blade!
But then, just before they made contact, the grid kicked into gear again and blasted them both from beneath. Pie couldn't see if Forte had escaped it, but he was knocked back and into the air, dropping his rod to the floor. Shame, he would have only had to pierce Forte with it to manually extract that Get technology. Pie quickly got up and dashed forward to avoid the second grid blast behind him, closing in on his rod on the floor... |

| The Darkness Barrier that kicked up managed ot block the laser shot from the grid, but now it's in a weakened state. So... couldn't shed any blood yet. He ignored that fact as he flew towards Pie, sword weapon ready to slice and dice. | |||

| Pie slid across the floor and snatched his rod back up, and just as Forte was above him he jabbed the point upward, hoping to make contact with any part of him or his armor. However, he got received a few gashes while doing this, though nothing to serious as his armor blocked some damage. After this he pulled away to skate back across the air and fire three bursts of homing projectiles at the Black Shadow.
As Pie floated in the air, he seemed to flicker invisible and back, and shifted to a blue wire frame patter for moments. This was a sign that he wasn't in the greatest health... |

| The rod peirced through the weak aura, as te shattered into a million peices. He flew back, disarming the sword on his back back into his hand. He noticed this as well... something told him to finish the human off, which he'll gladly do...
"Double Golem Fist!" His arm glowed for a few seconds before he waved it out in front, and two rock solid fists rocket otu from the sky quickly flying down like dead weights over Pie. |

OOC: You're forgetting a lot of Pie's attacks. He fired three shots at Forte after escaping the sword combo 
--- The first fist knocked Pie to the ground, and as the second came he rolled out of the way and destroyed it with a blast from his rod. He was then fried again by the grid. By now Pie was a wreck - his armor was furiously spitting blue sparks all over the ground, and he was constantly blurring or flashing to a wire frame ghost of himself. The grid even failed altogether, but not before firing some final blasts randomly around the room - some in Forte's path. But Pie wasn't going to withdraw from the fight. He calculated that even taking damage once more would fill his databanks with enough knowledge to successfully mimick Forte's attack pattern, aiding him in the future or even in this very battle. He'd still rather copy him without taking too much damage, of course... Pie held his rod upward, and it surged with some kind of power. Suddenly, all sorts of glass-like polygons began appearing around Forte, a few moments between each appearance. The shapes would remain in the air for another second, and then fly in to Forte's current position, to be followed by another right afterward. The shapes kept regenerating in the air by Forte and flying in from all over... there seemed to be no end to the attack. Each shape would explode on contact, dealing cyber damage and spilling shrapnel all over the place. If Forte could work his way through this mess, he'd have a good shot at Pie, who was really wide open. (edited by Jack Skellington on 05-05-06 03:52 PM) |

| Yes, that did it - Pie, trying to overwhelm Forte with his rapid attack, was not able to dodge or block. The explosive attack sent him spinning backward, and all of a sudden the shapes and the grid vanished. Pie fell to the floor, no longer able to fly. His armor was now merely broken wireframe lines, and his rod disappeared completely.
Pie: "Ow... why...?" His armor then regenerated, but it no longer had the glow of blue lines on it. With difficulty, Pie lifted himself up. Pie >> "Of course, I had calculated it from the start. You are the superior program. However, my objective was to duplicate some of your great power, and... I met this objective. The lines lit up again, this time a dark purple instead of blue. But in a moment, they were gone once more. Pie still didn't have enough energy to fight. Pie >> "Being a freestanding program just launched, I am naturally weak - but I have not even begun to fulfill my ultimate potential. I am a learning program, and every battle I endure makes me markedly stronger. We may meet again, Forte, and if so you will find that my abilites have been dramatically enhanced. It is then that I will have the ability to destroy you." Another rod was created in Pie's hand, and he leaned on this to stand up. Pie >> "Go ahead and destroy the humans, they are not relevant to my purpose. I will not hinder you there. Just accept that I am not human, and leave my host alone." A jewel-looking thing on the center of Pie's armor lit up, as he prepared to teleport away... |

| Of course... as odd as that was, Forte begun to be engulfed in a mass wave of epxlosions.
"I may have beatened you... but this victory also costed my life... you haven't seen the lats of me..." He then groaned and yelled loudly in pain as a light barrier expanded from his exploding body. A bright flash of light illuminated from him and a final explosive boom was heard. When the light faded, Forte was no where in sight... |

| Pie stared blankly at the spot where Forte had been swallowed in the explosion.
Pie >> "That being... he wasn't from this reality. We have more in common than you would have thought, young Cheese." Pie: "$1134"I wish he had destroyed you." Pie >> "It would have only been your own end. I cannot be deleted by any other than the creator." The room blinked with blue light, and then Pie was gone. |
