Do you remember the NES Classic RBI Baseball? How would you like to play it with all of the players of today, for free, on your computer?

Ive spent countless hours preparing this in time for the start of the MLB season.

What it includes:
*All 30 MLB teams on 3 roms (East/West/Central)
*All Players final 2005 stats (avg/hr/era)
*Accurate attributes scaled within the original rom
*2006 projected lineups according to ESPN The Mag
*2p pause/same team select

Please give them a try and let me know what you think here and/or at the 2k6 forums: http://league.rbicentral.com

Here are some screen shots:

Thanks and enjoy!

In that case there shouldn't be any problems, assuming you made the original rom yourself. Otherwise I'm pretty sure it would be copyright infringement.

I think the point people are trying to make is that it is against the board rules to link to a site with ROMs, and since your site has ROMs, its against the board rules to link to it.

It is probably very fun to play, but after a quick Google search I found that this game is in fact licensed by Namco, so hosting the ROM is illegal.

there are "two" versions of the rom, a licensed and unlicesed.

check www.dee-nee.com for info

Not to mention that the forum title is "rom hacking", thats what I did, isnt that what this is about/ maybe it should be changed to , rom pacthing

Accordiing to the FAQ on the site you just posted, the "unlicensed" simply lacks a copyright notice on the title screen. Absence of copyright notice does not mean absence of copyright though.

You should really just distribute the patch.

On another completely different note the hack itself looks pretty nice anyway!

It doesn't matter if the game was licenced by Nintendo or not. That doesn't change the fact that you aren't the copyright holder of the original game. A lack of a Nintendo licence doesn't invalidate the work or the rights of the original programers.

As for the title of the section, its not a section about the application of patches to ROMs, its about the hacking of them. The accepted distribution just happens to be patches.
