This is spinning too far out of my fucking control. First my mom gets kidney failure earlier this year, then she's getting better, during which that time, since i'm homschooled, I pretty much had a 3 month break, but since my parents are also my bosses at my workplace, I was being bugged about work night and day, so it kind of balanced out. Or so I thought. Then all this shit piles up, and 1 week ago i'm reminded that I have to CAT coming up. CAT being the California Achievment Test, which is the common homeschool test. Of course, factor in that I hadn't done any school whatsoever in the past like, 4 months, and there's a serious problem. Especially considering all the questions in the PREP book...are like the later sections of my textbooks, which I never got to. Like all these fucking y intercept questions, which I barely even did and have no clue how to do now, and minor details about the civil war, and even chemistry, which I have done almost none of at ALL. So now i'm supposed to do do the prep books in one week, and then the test after that.

Oh yeah, I got a story to make, along with a map (of the fantasy continent) to go along with it, before the end of the school year (May 27th or something around there). A full blown story too, i'm not about to make it half assed. So with all of April dedicated, even the weekends, to catch up so I can pass the CAT and not have to go to the white trash public schools, and then all of May scrambling to write a decent fantasy story...How the FUCK am I supposed to pull together taking care of my family, doing work, and then al this school related BULLSHIT as well? How the hell am I going to pull this off? I feel very sad right now and as if the world is like on my shoulders or something.

Simple. Dump school and get a GED.

It's not as bad as they make it out to be, and it's much easier than they tell you, as well.

Not going to happen. Parents have made it solid as stone that i'm going to do it anyway.

Just plan it out. Dedicate a few hours every day to family stuff, a few to the prep book, and a few teaching yourself things you didn't learn due to your mom's injury. There are a million and one sources for information you'd need on the test, you just have to make yourself learn it. Chemistry isn't as hard as it seems. The civil war is interesting to learn about. I think 3/4 of this board could teach you anything you'd need to know with math, if you ask for help. I've asked before, and I've learned things. Maybe see if you can get a tutor to fill in for your mom for the month, it will more than likely help you.

To me, it seems that family is your number one priority.
Show support to your mom all the time!

If school work becomes incredibly hard, talk to your parents about it.
Tell them about your problems, and that this recent dilema has become a problem with your education.
Don't make it out to be your mom's fault though. Always be thankful that she's getting better.
