| OOC:well theres my intro, find a spot and jump in.
It had been a week since Rin had been traped in this world, or rather this dimension. It was a dimension far differnt from his own.There was much more technology then he could have ever imagine and not nearly as much magic. But it was in this world that he was traped and he had decided to make the best of it. "Well it's clear that im not getting home anytime soon, at least not without help. I should probely try to find a guide of some sort to show me around." As Rin talked to himself his eye cought sight of a familiar sight, An old fasion tavern. Just the thing he neded to set himself strait, and hey.. maybe he would find a guide there too. Without another thought Rin walked into the tavern and took a seat at the counter. "Lot fancier than what im used too. Lets just hope they serve a good drink" "I'll have a barrel of your finest" Rin shouts to the bartender "Um, you said a barrel right." Replied the surprised bartender "Yes, is there a problem with that" Rin says in a somewhat harsher tone. "No sir, I just usualy don't get requests like that. Well how about you step out back and chose your barrel" "Fine just point me to your best stuff" "Right this way sir. This is our finest beer, take all you want." "How much a barrel ?" "For you only fiftey dollers." "Fiftey what?" "Oh nevermind will this cover it" With that Rin hand over 5 gold coins. "Is this real gold!" "Yea, What do you think I am, a conartist" "No, sir but this will be pleanty, take all the beer you like" Rin then stacked up three barrels and picked them up with his free hand, taking his leave to a small hill near the tavern where he started to drink each barrel one at a time. "Well, Im sure a guide will show up soon ,in the meantime I might as well catch up on my sleep." Rin mumbled the last few words as he closed his eyes and rested atop the sunny hill. |

| OOC: I'm using my brand-new character Yinns, just for you. Now it's ON. Heeeeeeere we go!
In Rin's slumber, a short figure walks up. He's almost 4 feet tall, wears a light bluish-purple coat with MANY pockets, a vest over that complete with a computer-chip design, jade shoes, and a cap the same color as his coat with a white, fur ring coating part of it (making it look comfortable to wear). His jeans-like pants are also the color of his coat. On his back are two, small, red-orange, batlike wings, slightly tattered around the edges, and on his head, coming out of his cap, is a curled, wire-like hair with a large, red-orange, fur sphere on the end. It dangles above his head almost like in an angler fish style. And, of course, this man's face is adorable, furry and almost cat-like, though his ears (which are actually very long) are hidden in his cap. The figure stares at the sleeping man surrounded in his beer, with a look on his face like he found a wounded animal on the side of the road... "I sure hope he hasn't been asleep that long... Kupo. Though, this certainly is a nice hillside... I suppose I can wait here for him to wake up before I ask him. Kupo." The small, furry character finds a spot on the hill neraby. "Initiate Feather Mode.exe, kupo." His vest beeps in response, and becomes halfway transparent in a few seconds. To that, he fully lies down in the sun, soaking it in and, thanks to the mode his Vest is in, not even sweating under the heavy coat and Vest. He doesn't quite fall asleep, though, for he needs to ask the sleeping Rin a question. |

| It took another five minutes before Rin awoke from his short nap. Coming to his senses he finished off what was left of his beer and looked around. Spotting a short, odd looking man Rin decided to take a closer look.
As he neared the man he chuckled quietly to himself. He must look just as funny to these people wearing only a beat up pair of animal skin shorts. He put his thoughts aside as he neared the man. His eyes wherre closed but he could tell he wasn't asleep. Tapping the man on the shoulder he said in his normal strong voice "You look like a traveler, I was wondering if maybe you could show me around." |

| "Bee! Kupopo!"
The furry friend bats at Rin's hand suddenly, mistaking it for an unwanted insect and snapping open his eyes. He jumps backwards in alarm at Rin's presence, but quickly regains his calm, silently cursing his naturally excitable personality. He stares at Rin curiously for a while, and after listening to Rin's request, makes his reply. "Kupo! ...Ah, I apologise, but as it is I'm many miles from my own home. As a matter of fact, I need to be shown around myself. I mean, I've been all over the continent, but it's not like this is a major city or anything and, well... You know how it is. Kupo." He stands up, revealing just how remarkably short he is compared to Rin. "Ah, we hardly know each-other! Go ahead and call me Yinns, that is my name. Yourself, kupo?" So Yinns is his name... but it still remains a mystery just what species he happens to be, for his kind is exceedingly rare outside the boundaries of the country he grew up in. Curious... |

| "Nice to meet you Yinns. I am Rin master of hammer and earth, but you can just call me Rin." Rin smiled as he greeted Yinns partialy happy to hear that this man would understand his predicament but also a slight bit dissapointed that he wouldn't be able to guide him, or maybe he would.
"I'm sorry to have startled you there. You see I come from another world, no another dimension. I was sent here by a wizard during a fight. I doubt that he even knew where he sent me, because it was a last resort move to stop me from finishing him off." "Well I'm probely boring you with my storie so I suppose i should be off to find a guide to show me how things work around here, there seems to be much magic around but I sense no manipulating, and not nearly as much magic as I would think there is. Ahh, well I guess ill be off now." Rin turned around and slowly started walking away. Maybe this man couldent help him after all. |

| As Rin walks off, it isn't long before Yinns is walking alongside him at his left side.
"That is an intriguing story, kupo. It makes me practically quiver with fury as well. Why do humans use magic for such mean-spirited purposes? Maybe my kind and I would respect mages if they showed us they deserve any! Kupo!" There is a pause in Yinns's speech. "Don't get me wrong, though. Some Moogles use magic, too... but I would die before I made the same descision. As you proved in your tale, magic can be used for mean purposes more easily than it can for productive purposes. I'd much rather rely on my OWN inventions, kupo." Another pause. "Where are you off to, kupo? The arena in town, maybe? I had planned to stop by later today, if it was a free arena. It's been a while since I've been able to exercise, and a good round in the ring should suffice for me. Gotta stay in shape, ya know! Kupo!" He seems insightful as a grown man but curious as a little kid. Maybe that's normal for his kind? |

| Yinns stares up at Rin in half-alarm.
"Strange? Kupopo! Well, I'm a foreigner, to be honest... but I'm pretty well-known and respected among most of those living here on this continent. My kind takes "tinkering" very seriously, and a lot of us make good inventors, including me, kupo. In my life I've played the role of a travelling merchant of my own inventions, followed by an airship constructor, and then a hero among my people, and finally a father, which I proudly admit is still in effect. Kupo!" Yinns is silent for a few seconds, then... "What's YOUR story, then? Aside from being warped across the space-time boundaries in between dimensions, that is. Were you well-known in your home plane?" Soon after Rin speaks, if he chooses to answer this question at all, Rin and Yinns stumble across something while talking. It looks like a manmade battlefield, neglected for years so the grass and occasional vines in the ground have had plenty of time to grow over patches in the dusty field. Yinns looks to also see the real Arena far in the distance. Regrettably it's covered by a roof. This sparks an idea in the curious Moogle's creative mind. "Hey, Rin! If you and I are both off to the Arena, what do you think of having our own little battle on THIS field instead? It'll be free, plus it's a beautiful day and we actually get to spar in the sunshine, as opposed to an Arena battle under a roof, kupo! What do you think?" God bless natural convenience, Yinns thinks. |

| "Sorry I didn't mean to offend, But the battle idea sound great. Not only would I be able to use the full extent of my powers but I wouldn't destroy the arena either."
"As for my story, I'll tell you later. Now its time to fight." With a smirk on his face Rin take his place in the arena and waits for Yinns to to take his place as well. |

| "Destroy the arena? Ahm, no need to go overkill in a spar, kupo... Just remember that against me, would ya? Of course, this is exercise, so don't hold back either..."
Yinns takes his place on the arena. "Initiate Combat AI, initiate Cooling AI. Set target variable to, quote, "Rin", quote. Kupo." Yinns feels his Vest's temperature increase as it's systems go into an Overclock, cooled by internal systems controlling a network of Liquid Mooncrest Crystal. As always, Yinns is proud of himself for designing that feature. "Rin, Master of Hammer and Earth! I would be honored if you struck first so I could warm up with a defense. Good luck!" Yinns still isn't sure if Rin knows how dependant on technology Yinns happens to be in combat, but hey... |

| "No Problem, you will see what I mean about the arena as the battle progresses. I the mean time I'm gonna see just how good you are, but first things first."
"Armor of Earth" Even as Rin speaks earth and rocks from all around him break apart and come togather around his body, almost like a suit of armor. Unlike a suit of armor the rocks allow almost full manuverability. Equiped with this armor Rin charges forward and swings his hammer torwards Yinns side, (which is lower then Rin is used to so he has to aim his hammer slanted torwards the ground.),with a force that would rival even the strongest of men.(another note, Rins immense strength comes from years of training with 100 pounds currently.) |

| "How's he moving in that, kupo? Sheesh, he wasn't kidding when he said 'master'."
As Rin gets close before his attack, Yinnns jumps right over his shoulder, then suddenly halts all vertical direction as he takes off at sonic speed in midair, straight ahead! This only lasts for a few yards before he stops his horizontal movement as well, swiftly dropping to the ground. This process his called his Air Dash, and it has conveniently put him only several yards behind Rin. "Initiate Coil Knuckles AI." Yinns turns around, as a green eye-lens slides out from under his cap and covers his right eye. Yinns now sees exclusive computer data and a crosshair, which locks on to Rin in a second as Yinns holds out his fists... Surprisingly, his fists are now coated in amber-colored, diamond-shaped claws that fit perfectly over them. (They slid out of his sleeves while he was air-dashing.) Even more surprisingly, he suddenly fires them out like missiles, only they're shot on a coil-chain of linked silicon orbs. Both fired Knuckles have a reach of 18 feet, which is more than enough room in this case, and the double-attack comes from behind unless Rin had turned around by now. Both shots are aimed very well in the cracks of the armor to actually deliver a hit to the target, but depending on how Rin moves they might strike the armor after all. Knuckle attacks feel like getting punched by someone wearing a spiked, steel glove. After the attack, be it a hit or a miss, the coils retract again, snapping the Knuckles back in place over his small hands. (if attack successful) "KupoPO! You'll have to do better than that, my friend!" |

| Rin turns around just in time to see Yinns fists take off.
"What the.." Even with that partial statment of surprise Rin loses his chance to block. It does leave him with just enough time to move so that the attack hits him in his chest where his body will take the least damage. *Whack* The attack hits Rins armor and bounces off dealing him a small amount of damage, but nothing near what it would have done without his armor. "Ok your fast. I see that convetional attacks won't work on you, but lets see just how fast you are." "Rock Shards" Rin aims his hand torwards Yins and Hundreds of tiny sliver like shards of rock shoot of his palm (well the armor there) at Yinns in a constant stream. This continues for about a minute (when the armor on his hand is gone) and Rin will continue aiming at Yinns if he dodges or runs.(This means Yinns will either have to block, out-run or interupt Rins attack.) "Ever had a glass shard in your foot, try having five-hundred all over your body" |

OOC: One minute!? Wow.  That's a double-edged sword, though...
"Kupopo! That armor has to go." Yinns reaches for something under his coat, but Rin decides to attack at that moment, and he is interrupted. Yinns air-dashes again to his left, activating another gadget at the same time. "Initiate: Jupiter Well." As Yinns lands, suddenly the grass and vines in about a 12-foot radius from Yinns is squashed by an invisible force. At the same time, any of the rock shards that approach that radius are immediately pulled to the ground, and Yinns avoids all damage. The minute hasn't gone by completely, though, so Rin may decide to cancel the attack on his next move. What happened was that a Gravity Well has appeared around where Yinns is standing. Since Yinns is in the eye, he isn't affected, but aside from that the Well is stronger the closer one is to Yinns. Yinns walks slowly towards Rin, and the Well moves with him. Any approaching shards are sucked to the ground, and very soon Rin finds himself within 12 feet of his foe, and at the mercy of the extra gravity. With the rock armor he's wearing as well, this could potentially be absolutely devastating to Rin, and may very well hurt him a great deal. "Don't fall down, you'll never get up! Kupo!" |

| "Very good" Rin says as he stops his attack, slowly walking forward into the gravity well.
"The power of gravity is a good counter for my dense rocks, but you are not the first one to use this trick on me. Back home I have a good friend that excels in gravity magic. Through my battles with him I have learned a lot and developed strategies against it. The first of which is to never carry more that one tenth of what you can. The next is that in a gravity well you must move slowly and carefully. And most importantly this one, gravity can be just as useful as it can be a hindrance." At this point Rin is only four feet from Yinns and still standing firm. His armor however is not fairing so well. Cracks have appeared in weak spots as the gravity stresses the enchantment holding it together. Rin is not worred about this , for he had another plan. As fast as you coud bink an eye Rin's hammer is over his head and heading srtait down torwards Yinns useing the gravity well to further amplify the already powerfull smash. |

| Since the Well is nonexistant where Yinns is standing, since it's the eye, the hammer attack is only slightly boosted, and Yinns jumps backwards to avoid it. It startled him, though, and he fell down for a moment, getting back up in a jiffy.
Keeping the Well in place, he aims the Coil Knuckles again at the now weakened armor and fires both fists, one at a time, square in the chest. Hopefully the blows will be enough to shatter his stone chestplate and expose a weak-point. The Well stays in effect, but Yinns will have to shut it off in another turn or there will be system malfunctions due to overheating. "And that solid rock armor and weapon are only 1/10th of what you can carry, hm? You must be kupo strong! ...Back in my home country, gravity magic fell under the category of time magic. It still does in some other places, kupo." |

| OOC:I assume the Yinns has factored in the gravity well when aiming his knuckles and thus they will hit Rin in the targeted area
Once again the knuckles strike his chest. The first blow cracks the already weaked armor , but does little damage to Rin. The second blow however shatters the rock and peirces right through into Rins chest. Rin takes this blow on purpose not becaues he is invurnerable but because intimidation is a key factor in his battles. As the coils retract not a drop of blood spills (again for intimidation). This is because Rin has secretly use earth to block the cuts. Rins stands firm and refuses to flinch at the attack. "Yes I am strong, this is only a fraction of what I can carry. As for time magic very few in my world can harness its imense energy. It is conciderd one of the most powerfull magics there are. You would be lucky to survive a fight with a skilled time mage. Gravity may work on similar terms but most time mages would rather spend there energy on learning to manipulate time rather that harness the power of gravity." The armor covering Rin falls apart as he drops the enchantment. Rin takes up a defensive stance as he waits for Yinns next move. |

| OOC: Yes, the AI controlling the Coil Knuckles automatically chooses the flight path that will be the most efficient.
"Shutdown Jupiter Well." In 3 seconds, gravity around Yinns has returned to normal. Yinns has a new tactic in mind. "Gravity certainly is a fascinating mystery. So is friction, kupo. Initiate: Zodiac Slick." Yinns aims his arms at the ground in front of him, and out of tiny turrets above his wrists and hidden under his sleeves shoot a black, shiny substance. In only a few seconds, the ground right in front of Yinns-- and surrounding Rin-- is coated in a thick layer of extra slippery oil. Yinns takes some steps back as a precaution. "Once again, I remind you... Don't fall or you won't get up. Ku-PO!" |

| "Nice move, but it wont help you. You seem to forget that I control the earth."
Rin raises his hands as if he was lifting somthing. He was in fact lifting somthing, althjough it was not though his physical strenth. Rin was raising a steep hill right under him giving him high ground. Yinns oil acts as a obstical for anyone trying to climb up to reach him. "Now you shall just how in control of the earth I am." Rin quickly raises his hand and three rock disks raise up from the earth. He then thrusts his hands torward Yinns and the disks fly at him. These disks will follow Yinns untill they hit or are destroyed. (this is not because magic causes them to seek but rather that Rin is directly controling all three disks individualy. This however requires a large amount of concentration. The question is when will Yinns figure it out before he is hit.) |

Yinns notices two things-- the earth discs, which he is rather impressed by, and the fact that the hill has caused the oil to slide down around HIM. But as the discs approach, he instinctively takes a step back-- right on the oil, falls backward, and takes all hits. Without time to get up yet, he whips a trinket out of nowhere that looks strangely like a tiny, ornate box. "Initiate Pandora: Q83- Violet Dial," he says into it. Suddenly it shines brilliantly with purple light-rays, emitting a slowly higher and higher pitched hum... On the back of the box, on the black stripe lights up 3 colored double-digit integers that cycle through all it's possible combinations without stopping... Yinns feels the energy building up, knowing a powerful attack is on it's way in only a few seconds... |
