Is there actualy a complete remake of this game or a good hack avalible, i have gone though the forum on all boards, there however doesnt look to be a working link anyware!! i love this game, please help someone

Just wants to know if anyones finished a hack yet for zelda 3. There are not any complete hacks but a couple of demos should be around somewhere. The two that will be complete and are closest to completion would be Parrallel Worlds and Dark Prophecy..both of which look great. If you had looked on the second page of this forum you would have noticed a helpful thread called Zelda hacks which covers all of the hacks avaliable or currently being worked on.

I did check, i have been all over the forum, i asked as there is a lot of ref to zelda haks and remakes, although i could not see any

Ok it seems your definition an our definition of Remake are two completly different things. All of the hacks bing made have just about everything changed GFX, Sprites, Overworld, Dungeons, Story, and sometimes music. Z3 hacking is a small community only five hacks are currently in progress if you want someting more I'd at least wait untill a full hack has been completed.


On a side note can someone sticky a list of Z3 hacks every time a list getts buried a new one comes up I think this s the third one I've seen so far.

About six hacks are being done so far, with mine included. Mine just doesn't seem to enjoy the thought of speedy working, so I must oblige and work very, very, slooooowwwwwwlllllyyyy. =/

If your looking for somethin to hold you over, you could always try Zelda: Omega. Its a hack i made a while back when i first started rom hacking. Its not spectacular, but its pretty cool. Its got like 4 dungeons to it, so it should take a while. You can probably find it in the forums somewhere. If you cant, maybe PM me.

Hi, i'm kinda new here, and I was wondering if there was going to be a Zelda 3 hack soon. Or at least screenshots. I also can't wait for "Zelda: Parallel Worlds" and "Dark prophecy" to be released. Oh, and I'd like to congratulate all of you good Zelda 3 hackers (isn't that my name? ) who made those beautiful hacks. I LOVE THEM!!! I can't get enough of them...

I kinda have a question. How do you modify the location of the magic bar, the item in use, and other stuff like that? It would look great for my hack (yes, I am making a zelda 3 hack, but since I'm like REALLY bad at making these, I won't show them to you... Cause if I did anyway, you all would think they're BOOOOOORING cause I've only changed like the palette and my map mods are so lame you can't even know it's a map :LOL. Anyway, it would be really helpful and it would make my hacks better-looking.

I have another question too...Is there somebody that can post a reply giving ALL the links to Zelda 3 Hacks??? I'd really like that.

Anyway, I think that is my longest post EVER! And I hope somebody will post ALL the Zelda 3 hacks...

As for all the zelda hacks... i dunno, i might compile something, but Omega is the only completed hack out there.

how come the community is so small when zelda is such a popular franchise and zelda classic is so popular with so many hacks? why not roms?

It's simply easier to make a Quest (not hack) for Zelda Classic than it is to make a full-blown hack of any Zelda game. Personally I'd rather play a good Zelda Classic Quest any day, so be happy there are so many.

wait a sec this omega is actually done now? liek comploete? like the first ever zelda alttp hack completed? why no enormous thread for it alone?

5 mins later .... is this some type of sick joke? why doesnt the ips work ive patched the original rom the same way ive alwasy done my 8 thousand others hacks and i get nothing well this puts a damper on my day boooooooooooo

EH. I tried this hack, I really wanted to like it, but you've got just too many things wrong, as if you didn't even think about half the things you've placed. Bugs right off the top of my head;
# In hyrule castle, there's a part where dungeon walls overlap the player.
# you're given the level 2 glove, but if you go to lift a level 2 rock and go off to the right on the first screen, you get stuck.
# In the first dungeon, there's a room with water in it, you can go in the water. but you can't come back out, which leads to swimming around with no collision detection until you feel like quitting [I haven't touched the hack since]
# in the first room you two flippers and two hammers... why?

I could go on, but I'll save you the eyesore, I was very dissapointed and it made me sad

Nah man, Omega is just a small hack that i made years ago. Its not perfect by any means, but just completing it alone was quite the feat at the time. As for why you couldnt patch it, not sure. Probably wrong version of the rom. Maybe PM me for the version number.

As for the above post, if you cant enjoy it, thats cool, its got its fair share of bugs. It seems like i may have uploaded a test version. I think there is a debugged version, but ill have to check for it. Ill post it when i find it for those that want to try it.

Cause at this point its really not worth my time. This game is just embarassing in terms of quality compared to what i build now, so i would really have to remake the whole damn game to be satisfied with it. Probably take a couple months too. Really not worth the time when i could spend it making something completely new.
