They look pretty nice, except for the fact that your checkerboard floors have gaps that make it look wrong. I think layering one piece over the other would fix that, though.

Besides that, it looks fairly solid, though I'm not really seeing anything particularly innovative (however, that vine scene with the Bonzai Bill looks like it could be pretty tough if done right)

You should give the credit to peter_ac for the smb3 graphics.

The screens do not really look impressive. For one, it's the same old SMAS graphics. That's not that bad, the palettes for the most part are fine, but the level structure itself appears to be boring. For one thing, they look repititive. In the 1st screen, there is one vine after another, in the 4th are a bunch of green blocks the same size, and in the 5th are a bunch of note blocks. Plus, there aren't many enemies in the screens and that makes them look boring. And in the title screen, the first letter in Elvin is regular, but the rest are on a black background, fix that.

Also, you should credit peter_ac in the game, but I don't really see it to be necessary to credit him right away.

The hack looks okay... However, I don't think it looks too exciting. The usage of SMAS graphics... well... have went quite old. The castle floor in screen two looks pretty weird. None of the levels have anything interesting in it... GoYo mentioned a lot of things already, so...

Well, Nintendo before him... at least...

I get sick to my stomach when people say SMAS GFX are overused. SO WHAT! As long as the level design and gameplay is good, i'll play it. In this case, from the screenshots, the levels need some work and more enemies.

I don't know, it's just sad compared to people like JJ and Anikiti and the like who draw their own.

Level design and gameplay usually aren't good, though.

And heck, it's even sad compared to those who pick some less popular game and manage to work it into SMW decently.

Some people just can't draw, though.

I'm merely decent at drawing graphics... so I just tend to stick with SMW's.

To me it's really about how the GFX fit in the game. Say JJ for example, his GFX fit his game and storyline. Gettoyouth GFX fit the theme he was using. And like bloodstar said, everyone can't draw (or even make, or even rip) GFX's like JJ and others. All i'm saying is that we shouldn't degrade a hack because of SMW or SMAS GFX's in it that's all. In this case, it's not the GFX's that holds this hack back.

Thanks for the complement Glyph.

Exactly, I'm not good with graphic designs either, but my Brother can. Only I can make level designs only with my usual SMW GFX.

Some day and one day that I might be able to learn graphic design on my own.

Does every post you make have to be about yourself, with no relevance to the topic?...

As for the hack, well, it doesn't look bad. I can't really give you any constructive feedback, because I don't see too much going on in them. I think a few more screenies would be able to help me more.

As for drawing your own, most people choose not to, because it's really tough to actually draw them in YY-CHR - and drawing them in Paint is even tougher (at least for me anyway ) Though it would be nice to see some rips from games OTHER than SMAS for once

You need to create a new type of look here and there; some times you should simply just change the FG and maybe it will be cool anyway. I have SMAS gracphics, but they're are not the GFX everyone else has. A good exapmle of a simple-huge change is make every "cement block" different in every world, that's what I'm doing.

I don't know, SMB3 Graphics.. Ack.. it's just so cliche..

Of course, they can be used very well if the level design is good. However, your screenshots have failed to prove it.

On the last screenshot, the copyright at the bottom has black squares around your name. It makes you look stupid. Use the transparent one.

You need to put more, exciting stuff into your level.

On a scale of 1-10: Fail.

No offence, but it looks square. I don't really like those jumps to one cliff side to the other.
