First off, for all of you who think that this is something sexual--HAH! It's not.
(I've noticed that this thread has gotten a decent number of views and no replies. LOL. I guess that's what I get for posting something that's not sexual and pointless. )

So for those of you still with me...

Every night for the past couple months, whenever I dream, I always dream about the same sort of thing.

I seem to have a habit of having recurring symbols in my dreams.
In high school, for about two years, EVERY dream I ever remembered always had a sword in it, somewhere.

Anyway, these dreams...have been different.
Namely, they've been, well, NORMAL.
They've been, like, normal, realistic events.

The recurring 'symbol' in them, every time, is this friend of mine...a friend whom I have harbored 'feelings' for ever since November.
Our friendship has been very bumpy lately, but we both care about each other enough where it will turn out fine.
Anyway, she recently found out I liked her, and rejected me, (of course), but the dreams haven't changed since then.
It's just now, I feel sad when I think about them, whereas I was hopeful before.

Anyway, NO, there is never any sexual stuff in my dreams. It's always innocent, normal...hanging out. Sometimes in a group, sometimes us alone...Sometimes in our usual spot, sometimes in a special spot (ones I sometimes go to).

And it's always...normal. Only, well, a little better than normal, because usually, we aren't feeling awkward around each other, as we usually do (ever since we met).

Anyway, I could go into details, but what do you guys make of that?
Are my dreams trying to tell me something?
They always feel so wonderful and amazing, and then when I wake up and realize they were dreams, I feel horrible, because I feel like they could never come true, despite how normal and realistic they are.

Some people believe that dreams mean something, and others don't, I mean, it's just where you stand on the dreams.

Some argue that dreams are what you are thinking about when you go to sleep, or a way for your mind to remember the past day, etc.

On the other hand, some people claim that everything is random caused by random firings in the brain.

So... yeah.

Have you read any psychological works on dreams? I really don't know what to tell you, because I think dreams are pretty much just random.

However, if you want my interpretation of what I think they mean...

They mean that you don't like that awkwardness, and you would rather just not have it and be more like real friends who don't have any of those thoughts on their mind.

Yea, that is something I would like.

I just find it weird that it happens EVERY NIGHT.

I mean, I like this girl, more than a friend, but I know she doesn't like me very much, not even, like, as a person.

But we're still friends, just not...REAL friends.
That probably has something to do with it.

I don't think it's what I've been thinking about when I go to bed,or my past day, because it happens EVERY night, regardless.
It couldn't be a memory because that stuff hardly happens--we don't see each other that much as it is.

Chances are it is a post-dream. I don't have links for it, but often times your dreams overlap and you make imprints on the memory sub-consciencly. Regardless of that, chances are that what you're experience aren't straight up dreams. Rather, a hodge-podge of emotions from the waking world working onto memories you do have from your dreams.

I dunno, that sounds like it could certainly be right.
