Heh. I'm a semi-veteran there, complete with a clan named after my RPG and a good share of skills too.

It's fun, if you like collecting things.

Well, i'm starting to get a idea on how stuff works. Like <15 tipsyness go well, but hit 15 or over and you get thoose drunken stupor quests, which are bad for the most part.

...is that a fixed value, or can you stand more uhm... booze later in the game?

Meh, I actuallyed checked with google. Unless you have some item, it's always 15 Temulency or over to get the Drunken Stupor thing.

You probably misunderstood my question, I knew that it's reset every day...

Oh.

I get you.

Yeah, the skill Liver of Steel increases the amount required to get drunk by 5.

St. Sneaky Pete's day gives you the ability to take extra drunkenness, as well.

I think. The Feast Of Boris does that with food, I'd assume Sneaky Pete's would with drunkenness.

But then, I haven't had food or drink in forever (HCO all the way, yo!), so what do I know?

St. Sneaky Pete's Day merely allows you to drink Green Beers while falling down drunk, until you're 10 past your max drunkenness .Once you reach 26 drunkenness on that day, you can adventure in a St. Sneaky Pete's Day Stupor.

Only 40 adventures suck. And I can't afford any good food/alcohol yet.

I got 80 on my first day though... must be a one-time thing.

You get 80 when you start out as a noob and when you ascend. There are some things that'll let you get more adventures, look into making a meat maid or someatt. I recall Pointy Mushroom Soup being my cheif source of sustenence as a noob. Your mileage may vary. Life's easier if you ascend hardcore oxy and just don't have to eat .

On the bright side, your adventures carry over from day to day, so if you're out for a while, you'll have more than 40 waiting for you. You're capped at 200 at roll-over, though. (You can have more than 200, but once rollover hits, you'll have 200 again, so use them up).

What was your first profession Squash? Or did it matter to get the mushroom soup?

Mostly I've been chugging ales I find lying around and only getting like 2 or 3 adventures extra. Horribly inefficient.

And that rollover trick is nice, at least nothing gets wasted

I was a Disco Bandit. I started eating those soups when I was high enough in level to buy things. Buggered if I know what to do before you hit that level -- my best bet at the time was mad train wine. When I was playing, the individual soups were going at a good rate, while their components weren't that expensive. I usually made a few and sold them at a smallish proffit, and ate some more for my own benefit. There are other mushroom specials that make more sense depending on what class you are.

Particularilly -- cream of pointy mushroom soup (cook together pointy mushroom and goat's milk) for moxie classes, cool mushroom casserole (cook together cool mushroom and gnollish casserole dish) for mysticality classes, and spicy mushroom quesadilla (cook together warm mushroom and flat dough (which can be made by using dough)) for muscle classes.

Oh, and that was spoilers, by the way.

Ah, I'll have to see if I can find some gnollish casserole and cool mush.

Don't tell me where they are though, I want to see if I can find that out at least

Though what I really need now is levels. The battlefield in the past seems pretty decent because you get some damage-absorbing equipment, good advances for a newbie, and no actual combat, which I suck at.

Oh, the battlefield is awesome.

My advice is - at THIS point - try to raise your moxie above other stats, and once it gets high enough get some cans of hair spray and use them for a boost, in tandem with the shiny ring you get for clearing out the rats. Then equip one of the costumes from the battlefield. If you don't have good muscle, a ranged weapon is also recommended. You can't go to the battlefield once you hit level 6, so it's important to do it early... But, with moxie in the range of 37, you can beat the warriors there fairly easily, since they all have power 30 and it'll be difficult for them to damage you (and impossible just a bit above that). The important thing is that you get some cola and grenades and if possible a dyspepsi-cola canteen (you neede the dyspepsi uniform for that one). The stuff you get there is all really good.

Shit, I better spend most of my adventures there then. xD

My level is 5 already. And moxie is the lowest stat currently XD, but I try to improve that one. I'm a pastamancer. :p

There is something wrong with my favorite food being "urinal cake"...

Moxie, ranged weapon, dyspepsi uniform. Got the uniform, but lack the meat and moxie for a decent ranged weapon. Damn tavern wasted all my meat and even my stat points.

I drank too much today and got 15 inebriety So I can't function but I have 15 or so adventures leftover. At least I'll have more then usual tommorow.

I did try equiping one of the uniforms, but I can't afford any sauceror spells yet, so the soldiers whooped me. I got a Cloaca combat knife though, which is pretty cool because it drains MP. I can afford the mana to keep saucemastery up at all times. And I can drink cola to get some MP back fast too.

I forgot what's better for me at this moment, moxie or muscle. I think they're about even.

Do you have any good ways to get some meat, like finding items people might be willing to buy? I have a lot of junk I have doubles of and such.

P.S, do urinal cakes restore adventures?

VERY few food/drink items don't give you adventures.

For a mysticality class, moxie is a far more valuable stat than muscle. Almost as important as mys itself. Moxie determines how well you dodge the opponent, and how well you hit if you're using a ranged weapon (though how much damage you deal is still dependant on muscle)... And for mys classes, skills are the most important thing for damaging to muscle's somewhat superfluous anyway. If you're getting beaten up by people, yeah, invest in moxie. Really, up until you can't get there anymore, adventuring in the battlefield without a costume and picking the bottom option in option areas is the best way to gain stats.

You may also want to conserve adventures for stat days. You can't overflow with food and booze where you are (and at my point in the game I'm literally incapable of having food or booze), so it's going to get you further than not. If case you don't know what stat days are, I'll give a little explanation.

You've likely noticed the moons at the top of the map. Each rotates to the right, with Grimace travelling half as quickly as Ronald. When Ronald is full, resting at your campsite restores double the normal MP. When Grimace is full, resting restores double HP. When Ronald is full, a mysticality stat day is in effect. Mys gains are multiplied by 1.5. When Grimace is full, a muscle stat day is in effect. Mus gains are multiplied by 1.5. When both have the same image, a moxie stat day is in effect. Mox gains are multiplied by 1.5.

The next stat day is a mysticality stat day, and occurs two days from now. Three days after that are two moxie days in a row.

That's pretty awesome Alastor.

I guess I'll take your advice and not play for a few days to load up on adventures, then cash in on the moxie days. I think I'll have... 55 or so after server refresh tonight. Add two more days, that's 135 adventures.

Though since you say you can't go to the battle field after level 6, that puts me in a slight pickle... If I just keep sitting on my adventures, I'll reach the cap of 200.

...is there any place that can only train moxie? Or should I just waste the adventures on stupid stuff like the barrel full of barrels? Time is of no concern to me.

You can't get to it ONCE YOU GET TO level 6.

I would go to the battlefield early on, actually. Just don't pick the bottom option in the one where you can listen to the leaders and you won't get mys from them.
