The bomb was released too close for him to make a move to dodge it and the explosion caused him to go flying back about ten feet. Landing on his back, Delano closed the switchblade and put it back into his pocket. Then getting back to his feet where he saw the rod surge with blue electricity. This was one fight he did not like and had a feeling he wouldn't win. Although he was one to never back down unless he sought no way of actually going to win. Delano then ran back into the woods to hide again for another chance to strike. 'There's no way I'm going to let that guy scan my other form,' he thought to himself, knowing that would be very bad if Pie got any more stronger because of it. |

| Pie's rod stopped surging as he remained still, silently watching Delano escape. After Delano was out of sight, he took a few steps forward on the ground and plucked a piece of his armor off. This bit of metal had a button on it, which he pressed, and then planted it in the ground.
Pie >> "Plant life." The small device glowed a brilliant a white color while Pie stood by it, just waiting... |

| While Delano was thinking of what to do against this guy. Keeping to the ground this time and transformed back into his white wolf form. He was slinking along the thick bushes and out of sight from Pie. Going to try to attack from behind this time. Once he made a wide circle in the woods to where he was now facing Pie's back, keeping low to the ground and slowly approaching. The device he now noticed made him wary on what it was going to do. Once the distance felt right to him, he slowly got up. Then with a burst of speed Delano closed in and lept. Attempting to knock Pie to the ground. | |||

| There was a brilliant explosion just as Delano leapt that easily blinded the both of them for the moment. But as it cleared, Pie and Delano were completely unharmed... at least by the explosion - Pie was pinned to the ground by Delano. However, the forest around them had been reduced to a wasteland... all of the trees and shrubs within a mile had been reduced to invisible particles that were now floating in the air. Pie's bomb had eliminated all of the nearby plant life, and any future hiding place for Delano as well.
Pie looked up at Delano blankly for a moment, but then with a blue flash he became his own cyber-wolf like before! In this form, Pie scrambled out of Delano's grasp and faced him at a distance, bearing his wire frame teeth and making a growl that sounded as though it came through a computer speaker. Another moment, and Pie lunged at Delano, snapping his jaws that would deal cybernetic damage as well as physical. (edited by Jack Skellington on 04-12-06 03:35 PM) |

| Wolf vs wolf.
Now this was something Delano could take on without a problem. As he was used to fighting other animals and Pie was restricted to only things a wolf can do. At least he hoped so. Baring his fangs while tucking his ears back and lowering his head a little. He emitted a deep, low growl. The white wolf quickly lept out of Pie's way and turned around to jump at him with his jaws parted. Aiming for the back of his neck. |

| Delano's jaws connected, but in a flash Pie escaped from the grip and whirred to Delano's other side. It was apparent that he still had his normal physical abilities. Now behind Delano, Pie charged cyber energy in his teeth for a moment, and then bolted forward in a rapid succession of impossibly fast snaps and bites... | |||

| Well this was going ot be much harder than he anticipated. Delano scrunched his nape to protect his neck from getting attacked as Pie's movements were hard to dodge all of them while he backed away from him. He yelped a couple of times as Pie's jaws came into contact with his flesh. Delano turned around to face Pie and got up on his hind legs with his jaws opened, decending onto the blue cybernetic wolf. Using his claws to slash at him while snapping his jaws... | |||

| Pie was not fully used to his wolf form, and had charged forward too soon without keeping fully alert. The more experienced Delano landed on top of Pie as he went charging past his target. Yet once more, Pie slipped from Delano's grasp after taking considerable damage, and he retreated to a point several yards away to face Delano again. Pie wasn't fairing too well in his wolf form - he seemed to be completely busted open on his shoulder and left hind leg, and both wounds were rapidly spitting blue sparks over the ground. Pie's wolfish eyes were even becoming fuzzy like the snow on a television set. Delano would surely defeat Pie in a conflict like this. He needed a new approach.
The cyber wolf leaned forward and pointed its head in the air, and then let out a loud howl! This was no ordinary howl, however - it was an earsplitting noise that would give Delano a major headache and even knock him out of he didn't interrupt Pie before he finished! |

| The cybernetic howl pierced through Delano's ears to his brain like a bunch of pin needles were poking at it. It was something he would not want to hear again as his brain might explode from it (not literally). He shook his head a couple of times to try and get his bearing straight. Then he ran unsteadily towards Pie to throw his body into him to make him stop that awful noise. | |||

| Delano smashed into Pie, and the screeching howl quickly turned into a pained yelp. The wire frame wolf tumbled across the blackened ground and lay in a heap, practically lifeless. Pie took much greater damage in his wolf form than he did normally, and it showed - he was now constantly blinking visible and invisible, and parts of his body were becoming fuzzy like big, square pixels. With a blue flash of light, he resumed his normal humanoid form and regained a stance floating just above the ground.
Pie >> "You have sh sh shown clear masASTastery in w-w-w wolf combat, but if you >?10$ will rev EA l no more of your r r r r r powers than you are u u u useless. Prepare for termi i ination, De LA LA LA lano >?22$@." Pie pointed his blinking arm above Delano. Halfway between the two of them, a blue squashed-looking spherical object appeared floating ten feet in the air. Promptly after its creation, the mysterious object starting shooting lasers in every direction! The rain of lasers did not stop even as it was Delano's turn to move, but fortunately would not deal very much damage at first - the danger, however, was staying exposed to the attack, for the lasers were nearly impossible to avoid, and after several hits the damage would add up to a lot. Pie stood still with his arm raised, concentrated on keeping the Laser Globe functioning. His body was constantly shifting into a see-through wireframe pattern and back as he waited. |

(Ack sorry had a lack of inspiration here and the couple of times I tried to make a post I kept getting distracted.  )
Well now this was certainly something Delano was not expecting. He kept trying to dodge the sporadic beams. Although with his speed and agility in his wolf form it wasn't enough to keep from being hit. 'Dammit this guy is insane!' he thought as he went down from two blasts with a loud yelp. There seemed to be no end to his attack and Delano knew he couldn't take much more of this barrage. Quickly getting back to his feet and jumping to avoid three beams but getting hit on his right foreleg still. Delano quickly shifted his form back to his human form to speak to Pie. Although getting hit in the process. It was something he wasn't proud to be doing but knew it had to be done anyway. "You win," he managed to choke out while trying to save his hide from the beams. |

--- Pie stared blankly at Delano, still blinking like a glitched program, and then a wide smile crept across his face. He held out his hand to the laser globe and the beams stopped firing, although the sphere floated to place in his hand. Pie brandished the sphere, which was now crackling with wireframed energy lines. Pie >> "Ve r r r r y well $@220. Sh0w me you r r r r fulles ($@?22) t power, and I will spa RE you, shapeshi i i i i fter. >?! " That weapon looks deadly... |

| Well now that weapon looked might un-friendly and caused Delano to squeak at the sight. Could have been what was said to... He also wondered what made Pie think he has a second form?
"The white wolf form is my only form I have!" he shouted without his voice faultering under the intimidating weapon that would surely maim or kill him. Playing stupid was one of Delano's specialties. |

| Pie didn't know for sure that Delano had another form, but he was certain that there was something he was hiding. Pie swung the orb over his head like a flail, controlling it with a beam of electricity from his hand.
Pie >> "Y0u hav v v v e no oth 24& er abili i i i ties? Now is your fi INA inal chance... " He charged more energy into the flail-globe, trying to scare Delano into cooperating. (edited by Jack Skellington on 05-05-06 03:59 PM) |

| Pie grinned evilly. Completely out of practice, of course - not having any emotions at all, he just felled that an evil grin was necessary for the situation. Or so his study of humans had led him to believe.
Pie >> "So be it then. Life form Delano; terminated. Using the glowing power sphere, Pie shot a final blast of glitch-charged cyber energy at Delano from a point-blank range! The attack would deal very heavy damage, and would paralyze anything it didn't manage to kill... Then suddenly, just before the beam hit Delano, it vanished. At the same time, Pie fell to the ground and all of his erratic blinking stopped. His armor looked normal now, no longer glowing like a neon sign, as he clutched his head. Pie >> "What? Obey, host! I am the supreme!"" The armor altogether flickered for a moment. Pie looked back up at Delano. Pie >> "Today, you are lucky, Delano. My human host will not allow me to destroy you. I do not have enough energy to override him... be satisfied that you keep your life for now. I know you have greater powers inside of you, and I will return to extract them from you in the future." Pie brandished his rod. Pie >> "I bid you, adieu." The blackened forest lit up for a moment, and a grid appeared shrinking on the ground toward Pie. Then, as suddenly as he had made his entrance, he disappeared again with a blink out of existence. The only thing that remained was a strange computer chip, where he teleported away. The trinket would allow the owner partial resistance to cyber-based attacks, and the ability to glide slight distances... much like Pie, actually. --- OOC: Whoo, fun match, Iori. I'm just going to do this thing at the end of every battle where my opponent can gain an ability or item for fighting one of my characters. I guess that means Delano could use that in future battles, if you want. |

| Delano fell backwards to the ground after the beam suddenly vanished right in front of him. He blinked a couple of times hoping he wasn't dreaming of that and what Pie said wasn't from no dream. Well it was odd to hear him say a human host and that he knew about his other power. Although the wolf mutant figured he was just trying to bluff him out. Once the other opponent left, Delano stood up and walked over to where the computer chip lay where Pie once stood.
"Hmm... I wonder what this does," he pondered to himself and pocketed the chip for later. He then made his way out of what was left of the woods. End (Whee! That was fun and thanks for the added item. Now if only he knew how to use it. *giggle*) |
