People suck. Why is it that noone enjoys being young anymore? All I hear about is people whining constantly because of stupid problems that they try to overanalyze by a gagillion percent and end up fucking it up for themselves anyway. JUST HANG LOOSE AND ENJOY YOURSELF. DON'T BE A STUCK UP ASSHOLE LIKE THE MAJORITY OF TODAY'S SOCIETY. For an example, say, someone is 20 years old. They're in a serious relationship. The relationship ends because of whatever. So you're sad. GET THE FUCK OVER IT! You're not the only person in the world who's been rejected and/or thrown to the curb. Don't bitch and moan, find someone else. Plus, you're only 20! You have (assuming, here) at least 50 more years of life. That's more than DOUBLE what you've already lived. Have fun when you're young and worry about serious shit later (before it's too late to have fun). Anothing thing I hate is regrets. If you have an opportunity, fucking SIEZE THE DAMNED THING! If you don't, later on you'll end up complaining about how you missed it, and to be quite frank, noone wants to listen to it. Basically what I'm trying to say is: BE YOURSELF AND TELL EVERYONE ELSE TO GO FUCK THEMSELVES. YOUR OPINIONS ARE YOUR OPINIONS, NO ONE ELSE'S. TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO DO WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE, AND MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY BEFORE YOU WORRY ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE. Chances are, a majority of you who are reading this are perfect examples of my plight. My care factor? That's right, zero. Personally, you can go fuck yourself if you don't like it. PS: This will probably seem like it's coming out of nowhere and has no reason to it as well as being stupid, but bear with me! I'm trying to help, if only you people would realize that. |

| I think your attempt at "help" might work a bit better if you didn't come off so harshly. Motivational kinds of things tend to work a lot better than "you suck, change"...but you do have some good points.
Though one thing is, even if people have 50 years left, it's not really the same...once you start work, start getting older...so you may have lots of time left, but not too much of it is the same as what you're going through now. |

I understand about the whole "used to what I'm doing" thing. That's what I'm trying to get at. Before you throw your entire life into a single career or job, explore a bit. Have fun. Enjoy yourself (because if you don't now, you won't be able to in the future. Again why regrets suck ass). |

| I think the problem may not be that "not being harsh doesn't work" but rather that your non-harsh methods aren't the best. I know that BEING harsh probably isn't for the best, since it really tends to push people away, and they think you're just not worth listening to, and so even if you have the best advice, they won't really be in the mood to listen to it. | |||

| I'm going to agree that you have a very "I'm right, you're wrong" thing. But that's just it, that's not how it is. Life is different for everybody, we all have different interpretations of it, experiences in it, different events, different upbringings, everything.
Yes, it's good to enjoy yourself, but I think you're missing a key thing -- balance. Personally, I think life in general is all about balance. The better you are at balance, generally the more fulfilling and successful you are likely to be. |
