I'd just like to say that I hate you.

That is all.

I got most of the way through EE (lolololol) last time I tried it, though.

Paranoia Survivor: Not many tips are needed for the first 3/4ths of the song. The death run is what makes things so hard. If you have Stepmania, play PS a lot with assist tick on, that's what helped me. As for the death run? Summon all the energy,speed and strenght that you can in those last three steps before the end (left+ right, left, left + right I think) then be sure to cross over like you never crossed over before

Yea, that's what kinda killed me was getting through that deathrun on my best run. I got to halfway through the damn thing but I couldn't read it fast enough and I was out of energy as it was.

Anyways, A'd HVAM on pad:

P 381
G 75
G 10
B 3
M 10
COMBO 205

It's nice when your vital organs turn to liquid shit when you're trying to do it though...I'll NEVER be able to do the damn spins in this so I have to double-step everything when it comes to those parts.

I'm still getting used to spins, I just generally double step.

I can only spin on Impulse with some of the easier songs (like 6-footer and below). There's only a few songs on Heavy that I get spins down on...but that's only because I practiced them like crazy.

Yay for having a PSP with a 1GB memory stick. I no longer have to lug my external hard drive back and forth to download / transfer things. I've only got six result pictures to show today, but they're better than nothing at all

:: Binary; Challenge, C400
:: Exotic Ethnic Megamix; Challenge, C400
:: It's a Small World (Ducking Hardcore Mix); Challenge, C400
:: PARANOiA Scaper; Heavy, C400
:: Salieri Strikes Back; Heavy, C400
:: Sweet Sweet Love Magic; Challenge, C400

First of all, the version of "It's a Small World" in the screenshot is not the one that's in the Keyboard Megapack I'd be surprised if I managed to get an AA on that one. The one seen there is done by bgyoshi (at least I think). I simply got to playing it a couple nights ago and thought "It shouldn't be too hard to get an AAA on this", then played it until I got that result.

Next, I realize that result on Exotic Ethnic Megamix isn't too great, but that was the first time I played it, except for one quick try at it after unzipping the file to the appropriate folder. I'll try it again tonight to see if I can do any better. At least it's not a D

I haven't played DDR Mario Mix in quite a while, although I did bring the pad downstairs a couple nights ago to do a bit of two player with my brother. It's fun being able to get A's or B's on songs, while playing on Hard / Very Hard, using the pad, and not having played the game in a while, while he chose the same difficulties, was using the controller, and was getting B's and C's. I suppose I can't brag though. Pretty much anyone that uses a pad to play that style of game that posts in this thread would be able to beat me

I don't plan on staying at newreply.php until 5 today, so the above is all I have to say in this thread for now

Eh, don't worry, I can't even pass it.

Reason being is because it's highly air-prone...and unless I'm using two fingers and try to index it like I've barely done with BMR's Gravity, I doubt I'll be passing it anytime soon on 3 fingers. Ziff was the one who asked for it to be that way sooo...you can gang up on him for that.

Well I now have quite a few new scores im proud of:
All sims played on C661,Note+
A
Star Field
EXE
110 Smooth
Warcry of Salieri
Gargoyle
Senorita speedy mix
Halloween speedy mix
Lawn Wake IV
Shind bad
Xepher
Shining Collection
Powerbook Fiend

All of these were obtained roughly in the past week and a half, Over the last 2 weeks my skill level has made quite the jump. I'm probly most proud of Shind Bad since I couldn't pass it a few days ago, then after that Shining collection, the steps are so unfriendly to indexers it took me forever to be able to do them, and I still get nearly 100 misses.

Just got done with another session of DDRMAX PS2...I just don't get ee. Tried it twice and couldn't make it as far as I did my last session. Weird.

On the other hand, I got relatively far into MAX300 (Up to da da da-da, da-da da da-da.... before the freeze).

The Extra Stage version still kicks my ass good though. Oh well.

My record on Ex Eth is 5 greats!
For SM, I just think "It's 10BPM less than M300 and I do that no problem."
I only recently been able to A it on oni though!

Isn't the hardest song in DDR Mario Mix an 8? I mean Mario is great and all but I would rather have a little bit of challenge in my dancing games.

Also I'm really considering adding Guitar Hero to my christmas list, I played it nearly all night at a friends house and its seriously awesome. Anyone else play it yet?

What the fuck happened to demand being high?! And such.

And yeah, what IS the hardest song in Mario Mix comparable to anyway? As mm said, I like me my 9 footers, and the fact that I don't need a third pad on a seperate system.

As a fun aside, I can now consistently pass Rhythm & Police.

Got me on DDR with Mario. I doubt they ran out but apparently that's the word on it.

As for the songs, I'm hearing 8 at max...the one Bowser song was supposed to be the hardest on it on the hardest difficulty.

Not to start an argument or anything, but after reading that, I did a quick google search for "ddr mario mix discontinued", which, among other results, gave me a link to this thread on another forum. The following post stood out:

Originally posted by jacko42 on IGN's Boards
I was about to post the link that what just posted. It's not discontinued, it's a false rumor based on an internal Gamestop/EB Games email that was sent out to stores. According to the email, stores were told that it was discontinued, but Nintendo of America has said they're just having trouble meeting demand, and that they probably won't be able to get any more out till the new year.

Anyone looking for one in the NYC area, the Nintendo World store at Rockefeller Center has plenty."

I can't really say whether that's reliable or not, but provided it is, it's alot better than having Nintendo discontinue the game completeley. Either way, I'm glad I've got a copy of the game already

As for Guitar Hero, me and my brother were up at EB Games a couple nights ago to show our parents what games we wanted for Christmas presents, and he saw that game up on the shelf behind the counter, and asked about it. The clerk said that he'd probably like it, but given that he gets embarassed just standing on the pad for DDR Mario Mix, I doubt he'd do much better trying to play that game. As well, he's never bought a game of that sort before, so I doubt getting him to buy one would be as easy as saying "you'd probably like this".

Now, screenshots. 10 of them today.

:: Brace Yourself; Heavy, C400
:: Don't Stop; Heavy, C400
:: Frozen Ray; Challenge, C400
:: Go to Sleep; Heavy, C400
:: HappyNext; Heavy, C400
:: Heaven Tonight; Challenge, C400
:: Hero (Happy Grandale Mix); Challenge, C400
:: MoonlightX; Challenge, C400
:: Nuon; Challenge, C400
:: Techno Tetris; Heavy, C400

That version of "Brace Yourself" is the one in the Keyboard Megapack, just to clear that up. Before actually managing to make it through the song, I was able to get 30 seconds to a minute from the end. I gave it another try last night, and as you can see, I managed to clear it. I'm not completely sure where the version of "Frozen Ray" seen there is. I think it's from the "5 Finger Classics" song pack you can download from Bemanistyle's media shop. So far, I've only played through it about 3 times, as I just downloaded it yesterday, so I likely could've gotten a better result, but for now, that'll do. I don't really like "Go to Sleep", but I figured that as long as I had a screenshot of my result, I might as well upload it I haven't got anything to say about "HappyNext" or "Heaven Tonight", but I will say that "Hero (Happy Grandale Mix)" was done by dantheman650. Not the easy version

Nuon had to be the hardest song out of all those screenshots. I only played through it twice, both times getting a C

I thought I had more to say, but I can't think of anything else, so that's it, once again.

So it's basically the exact opposite...or it isn't.

The whole 'high demand and they can't meet it' sounds a hell of a lot more plausible.

Yeah, the "unable to meet high demand" line was what I had heard originally, and does make a lot more sense.

It was even posted somewhere in this topic, wasn't it?
