You are aware that there's a constant minimum speed for maintaining rolls, right? It's actually relatively slow, too....think Afronova quarter notes for a single roll (Which means stepping Afronova 8th notes for each foot. LRLRLR would be 6 Afronova 8ths).

Note that most rolls are short enough that it's usually easier to just do what comes naturally for the song, which is typically alternating 16ths at the pace of the song, but they don't HAVE to be done that fast by any means.

Minimum is .3 seconds between taps. You don't need to belt it out like sixteenth or thirty-second notes in a high-speed song.

I'm remembering Robotix's rolls from when I was at the arcade a while back. That was the first time I've ever done a roll and I did complete it, but my legs were numb afterwards because I worked too hard on it...

Er.... I thought a roll was a freeze that required you to step off and back on so many times a second, not a roll as a rotation...

What SWR is thinking of is a spin, not the SM4/ITG2 rolls.

...unless SM4 adds rolls on shuffle... which I doubt.

I like Tsugaru as it is. I have it memorized and if I did shuffle I'd screw up emmensly.

For the hell of it...I tried Dance Factory (Ps2) the other day. For those who do not know, it is a game where you can load your own CDs and dance to them. The game itself had about 4 or 5 songs.

....yea, I found another "worst game of the year" nomine.

I should have know it would be terrible, but, yea. I'll countiue to wait for Supernova....which, it figures, comes out a day before I leave for Texas.

Yea, I was kinda iffy on the concept of it. I had a feeling that it would auto-gen steps like crap. It's better to just have Stepmania and know someone who makes halfway decent steps to halfway decent songs.

[points to self] Yuh-huh.

Oh, EE...

Got 81.09% on Summer ~Speedy Mix~.

Muhah.

EDIT: Additionally, I like this SMO theme.

EDIT 2: I guess my misspelled retro sims are still being played to this day.

EDIT 3: Now THAT'S more like it.

EDIT 4: RMX was done on Oni. Suckage on the framerate though.

EDIT 5: ...OMFG.

EDIT whatever: I've been finding others as well just by typing in old sim names and going from there. MAX 340 was done as well as others...but...go see for yourself. I still can't believe people play the stuff I've done. :\

Wow, nice job on that. I'm heading to the arcade Saturday, I'll see if I can beat that then, though I doubt it (Yay terrible terrible pads).

Like I said, 2x is great for that. I was lucky enough to hit an A- on a crapacab.

Tried doing Utopia on Expert. Got halfway through and bombed out when the crapacab said 'no more' and stalled.

I'm taking a look at metal pads and this Blueshark Metal Dance Pad so far has gotten better reviews than the Cobalt Fluxes. Well, that's what they said on BMS...

It looks nice. There is a more expensive version of it with a bar and it being 3", although it is out of stock now.

I ought to save and get it. It seems nice. At least it beats my crap pad. XD

And Utopia Expert? Were you going to actually complete it!? My legs hurt hearing that. XP

I was just trying to try. I got 33% on it. :\

The damned thing locked on the arrows before I had a chance to look foolish on the 16th run.

Meh. Today I tried Anubis Expert for the hell of it, anyway. I was doing good until the first 16th run. Those steps confuse me and I mistep, treating a UUL as a ULU.

After that, it goes downhill thanks to low life bar. I could probably pass it if it weren't for the dang mines.
I'm getting it down, though, so that is a plus.

BTW, how the heck are you supposed to pass Hardcore of the North Expert on pad? I've seen easier keyboard files!

It was mentioned... but from what I heard the mat is actually arcade-like and it lasts. So... yeah...

For that iON, that looks awesome! It even is cheaper with the bar, too.

This search for a metal mat is going to cost me lots...

No one's mentioned DDR in a while, so I will.
I was playing MAXX UNLIMITED last night and got just 1 Good!
I got trigger happy at the freeze area and started too early. Hopefully I can manage this song on Legend Road to get pretty far again (maybe one day beat it). ^^

Though I did push my percentage on VerTex^2 Medium up to 90.2%.
