I was wondering why Challenge was rated less than Heavy Now I know That'll have to wait until later on this evening though.

Now, I downloaded all the DDR OSC sets from Bemanistyle's boards before I left for the holiday, so needless to say, I had a bunch of new songs to try. I have no idea why there are songs in some of the packs that don't even have the song itself included, Anyways, I've got far too many screenshots for my own good to show today, so I'll get them done and over with right now.

:: =PAIN= Marathon; Standard
:: Balloon Fever; Challenge
:: Boundary; Challenge
:: Burning Heat! (Full Option Mix); Challenge
:: Canon (Kanon Euro Mix); Challenge
:: Castlevania Adventure CV2K; Challenge
:: Classical Gas; Edit
:: Disable Da Stack; Challenge
:: Driving Lazy Bee; Challenge
:: Duck & Cover; Challenge
:: Effects of Paranoia (Final Mix); Heavy
:: Elysium Plus; Challenge
:: Grand Prix; Challenge
:: Love is Orange (Marmalade Mix); Challenge
:: MAX 300 (Wacko Reflex Mix); Heavy
:: MAX Deep Dynamite; Heavy
:: PARANOiA Extreme Survivor Max (Fast Mix); Heavy
:: Seizure of Power; Challenge
:: Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch; Heavy
:: The Electric Wheelchair; Challenge
:: Ultra Butterfly (Superhuman Strength); Heavy
:: USB? ("Did it Break?" Remix); Challenge
:: V (Rasen Style); Challenge
:: Work It (Retrohouse Remix); Edit

See what I mean?

As for death songs, the only one I can think of right now is Rankatt's (well, Hiryuu's, I suppose) version of Hell Scaper, on Edit. It's fairly easy up 'till about 10 seconds before the end.

There's only one other thing I have to say right now, that being a question. It seems that with Event mode turned on, if you beat your previous best score on any song, a bit of text will appear on the result screen telling you so. Turning off Event mode seeminly disables that feature. What I want to know is if there's any way to have that feature enabled, but not have to have Event mode turned on. It'd be nice if there is, but if not, I'll do without it

That's all from me for now.

Thursday is when I go back to DDR. It's going to be fun, as I've become good enough to be a little playful and do some more freestyling.

Well, I'm finally out of the running for DDR OSC 4.

Got as good as the wildcard with a few votes to go on to the final, but that's about it. Eh, not my best sim anyways. But I guess it's nice that I'm not as bad as I may have once thought.

Bemanistyle has a section of their board dedicated to OSC's (which, to my understanding, stands for Original Step Contest) located here. Note that you have to be registered and logged in there before you can view the forum. I suspect that with a bit of poking around, you'll find an answer to your question, so hopefully that helps

I obviously played Stardust again last night, on Heavy. That was with the keyboard I'm not good at using. I got an A there, with 15 or so misses. I tried the song again this morning, with the keyboard I'm good with plugged in, and got an AA, full combo, with ~30 greats, and nothing worse. A screenshot can be seen here.

That's about all I have the time for (is anyone getting tired of hearing that yet? ) because it's 4:30 right now. Until tomorrow

I'm logged in Bemanistyle as "outragious." Unfortunately, I didn't invent the name "spel werdz rite" until two months after I got into BS.

I likes Pump It Up. It's definitely different from DDR and seems to be a better workout than plain ole DDR singles. I also got into DDR Solo (6 panel) which can be way hard at times, though it's still fun in it's own right. Too bad there's no PIU machines near here, but ther is a Solo 4th mix about 45 minutes away. Might have to go check that sucker out sometime soon.

I played solo once.
It took me about twenty minutes to get used to it, but I adapted pretty easily.
As for PIU, I can't get use to that!

PIU requires a heck of a lot more bodily movement. I can't seem to find any PIU simfiles on the net anywhere, so for now I'm just letting Stepmania autgen PIU steps for my DDR stuff but it translates pretty well. What sucks is that I have to use my Cobalt Flux pads to play and I didn't realize that the PIU corner arrows are significantly longer than the standard DDR 1 foot by 1 foot arrows, but that just means I have to extend my body a bit farther than normal so I should still improve in the real thing, or so I hope.

Added some more legit AAs to my catalog today, namely MAX 300 Standard and Holic Heavy.

I can also get an A in Rhythm & Police Heavy. Considering how much that song vexxed me for awhile, this make me happy panda person.

Hrm, so EE's catching up to me...

Damn, of course, I'm still flailing on PARANOIA Survivor, too. I managed to pass the first three psychotic 8th note runs (more like 16ths at that speed...), but I'm still running out of steam! I think I need to start doing more Long Versions of songs, and more Nonstops. Also, doing SO DEEP like three times in a row would be convenient.

I also pulled off my first legitimate spin a week ago. Of course, I'm not so sure how legit it was, because it was on I Believe in Miracles, but still, that's one small step for a man...

Now your just splitting hairs!

Anyways, here's the theory I've had for 9th mix.
When first mix came out, the highest level it went to was eight footers. Three mixes later, it evolved into one step higher to 9-footers. Three mixes later, on DDRMax, they created the more legendary 10-footer! Now, another three mixes, will we see the 11? We've seen people AAA PSMO! Obviously, we need something more challenging (I know I do ). What do you guys think?

YAY! Post #600!!
