Ok... I have to say that one of my favorite shows is a medical show. Hopfullly some of you have at least heard of Scrubs...

But what is odd is I'm not usually big into those kinds of shows. I hated ER. With a passion. Yet I like House. Scrubs is in it's fifth season I think, ratings are still good from what NBC says, yet no one I ever talk to has heard of it let alone watch it. I never hear any talk about it. Something tells me, it is on it's last run. I love the show, I think it is funny as hell. I want to know...

Does anyone else like it? Has anyone heard about it? And what do you think, is it gonna jump the shark anytime soon?

I adore Scrubs. I watch it when I can, which sadly, isn't much these days. I never liked drama medical shows. Comedies, I don't mind.

It's an awesome show. I have the first two seasons on DVD and I'm waiting for the next couple of seasons to come out so I can finally see them. A couple years without TV can make it really hard to follow the series, but it's definately one of my favorite comedies out there.

I adore Scrubs. I sit glued to the TV every time it's on. I love all the characters, I really really love the show.

It's one of the few shows on TV that I've really enjoyed in recent times. That alone is enough to make it special.

Kingdom Hospital - A series by Stephen King

Very awesome plots, also liked the characters.

Patient: "What the hell is that!?"
Paul: "A problem, but not an insurmountable one."

Yeah... I heard about kingdom hospital.

I haven't had a chance to see it though. Not a big fan of the Stephen King stuff. Not because I don't like him, just I am not that interested in it. It was pretty fucking cool though. That is about all I like.

They should have a 14 year long show about a group of kids going through the rigorous process of becoming a doctor. College, Med School, Residency, and Fellowship would all be in there. Oh geez, that's just my life.

Well, Scrubs ain't exactly a medical show like most other medical shows... Still, I'm a big fan, most people I know are either fans because a) They've seen it and liked it, or b) they've heard my friends and I talk about it too much and decided to watch it to see what the fuss is about.

Usually, when my friends and I do or say something that is worthy of a second mentioning, one of us will say "this and that, high five!" and we'll do a high five in the style of The Todd. Dorky? Sure. Fun? Yeah.

Nah... Totally not dorky.

My buddies and I do it all the time. We have an on going joke, too. I think it is in the second season, JD says to Turk, "But you love Sanford and Son. Bwenna Bwenna (a la the Sanford and Son theme music)." Turk goes on and reluctantly finishes the theme. Then they start to dance and sing it together. Funny scene.

At anytime and anyplace, even if we are at work... I can call my buddy, or vice versa, and merely say that "Bwenna bwenna" theme music. In return, said other party must finish... no matter what. Makes for some funny stories. I got a call when I was sitting on the toilet in a public restroom. I called my friend when he was standing in the checkout to Home Depo or something. He almost chickened out be cause there were a couple of black guys in line with him.

On an entirely unrelated phone pranks we play on eachother... There is one where you call up one of your friends at random and, in your best Strong Bad voice, say "Trog Dor strikes again". Sometimes I throw in the laugh. Depends on if I feel like being an ass or not.

Part of the appeal of Scrubs for me is the sheer geekiness of it all. JD and Elliott in particular are geeks. Turk is a geek, but it takes some drawing out of him (see Sandford and Son stuff above).

Then there's the other characters. I adore Perry Cox. I love that thing he does with his teeth... and his eyes... every time he's pissed off.. which is often. I love his rants. I love how while he acts so secure in himself, it's so obvious he's anythig but. I love his bravado.

I love Dr Kelso. I love the way he tries to control the others. I love it when he fails.

I love Ted. I love the way Dr Kelso periodically breaks his spirit. I love the little pathetic ways that Ted fights back.

I LOVE the Janitor. The Janitor is awesome.

This is one of those shows where I love all the characters, good or bad.

The only other show I can say that about right now is M*A*S*H.

So yeah, I love the geekiness, and the characters.

The only medical shows that I will watch and that I love, are the real ones on Discovery Health Channel. The "Life in the ER" and "Truama" the ones that actually show operations taking place. I love watching those!! Some people think I'm gross for liking that sort of thing...especially when I'm eating.
