God, I hated that dustpan!

But Lakitu didn't seem that bad. In SMB1 he was only a hazard if you were careless-- in SMB3 they cranked up his difficulty quite a few notches. I remember, I believe it was, W5-8 or something... In the clouds, you had to dodge Lakitu's fury while hurdling over a series of pits between the clouds, AND outwit a colony of Green Paratroopas in the process. Now that was one intimidating Lakitu!

Oh yeah, about Lakitu, it was annoying when you stop to get the Power Up in the block, just to have it taken back from you due to his bombardment as a gift for slowing down. Lakitu-guarded blocks, my friends, are for only the brave...

The dustpan was only really annoying because you couldn't kill it. It's easy to avoid.

I'm also not particularly fond of Shy Away in Super Mario RPG, just because he keeps coming back and reviving that damn plant. I like to go massacre a few when I'm done.

The big purple Bob-Omb thing in SM64 (He's in Whomp's Fortress, Wet/Dry World, Tick Tock Clock, and Bowser in the Sky IIRC)

Chuckya. Yeah, he's a pest. Especially near ledges. Wait, he's in Whomp's Fortress?

I don't remember him in Whomp's Fortess, but he was in Tall Tall Moutain. Also, you could pick him up from behind and throw him to get a load of money, but it's risky.

SMB1: Bloober, CheepCheep (air AND water), Lakeetu
SMB2: That purple bouncy thing that has a beak - it's in 1-1, I can't get past the second area of 1-1!
SMB3: Boomerang Brother, Koopa Troopa
SMW: Banzai Bill, Charging Chuck, that exploding thing in Yoshi's Island 2

Here's the maximum level I can get up to in all of them:
SMB1: 5-1

SMB3: 1-Airship
SMW: Cannot do Yoshi's Island 1, YI2 and YI3
YI: 1-1
Cruel Justice
I have better things to do.

SMB: Lakitu
SMW: Fishin' boo
SMW 2: Nep-Enut, Fuzzies

Other than that, enemies may be hard, but no as annoying as these, in my opinion.

Why does everyone hate the dustpan? It was easy to avoid, and easy to manipulate to help you out...

I think he's meant to help you anyway. Besides, he stops after a while to wind up and becomes helpless for a while.

SMB1/SMB2J:
- FLYING CHEEP CHEEP FRENZY OF FISHY DEATH.
- Public enemy #1: SMB2J's RUNNING HAMMER BROTHERS. GAH. 8-3 AND D-3 SUCK.
- That one fire-bar in the second narrow gap in C-4 in SMB2J. If you're big, this thing WILL hit you 99.(insert favorite number of 9s here)% of the time.

SMB2US/DDP:
- PHANTO. I mean, this one's, like, a given.
- That exit mask that suddenly comes alive on you right before Wart. Have you noticed the fucked-up collision detection on this thing? You can be ducking on the lowest ground and it still manages to count as hitting you, even though it looks like you were a mile away from it...

SMB3:
- FLYING CHEEP CHEEP FRENZY OF FISHY DEATH.
- Fire brothers. Thank god they're only in, like, two places.
- SUPER ANNOYING LAKITU OF GREEN BOUNCY SPIKY DEATH. GOOD GOD THE PAIN
- Bowser's happy statues of HOT LASERY DEATH. WTF was the idea behind THAT?

SMW:
- FLYING CHEEP CHEEP FRENZY OF FISHY DEATH. See a trend here?
- Splittin' Chuck. Especially at the end of Chocolate Secret where there's, like, 8 of 'em. ZOMG CHUCK OVERLOAD
- Whistlin' Chuck. WHY YES THANK YOU SIR, I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY ENJOY HAVING EVERY RIP VAN FISH AND SUPER KOOPA IN THE GENERAL VICINITY ON MY ASS.

Meh, Fire Bros and the laser statues are both way easy to avoid and/or kill. (Well, I don't think you can kill the statues. ) Personally I thought those statues were pretty cool.

You just. Run, and jump before the statues.

And then it's over. No danger at all.

Hmm, the only Mario enemies I've found truly threatening are as follows:

Paper Mario TTYD:
Elite Wizzerds: These guys are bastards. It's extremely difficult to Superguard their attacks and they pierce your defence, meaning that if you screw up, it HURTS.
Fuzzies: Not threatening, really, just really, really annoying.

Mario and Luigi PiT:
Those Coloured Block things. WHY DO THEY KEEP SUMMONING THEMSELVES?

2D Mario Platformers:
Flying Cheep Cheeps: Yeah, like the ones from Awesome in SMW. They irk me and they deserve to die. With Fireballs. And Star power.

SMB3:
Hot Foot - I'm a piece of the background! No, wait, I've hurt you. ;

SMB2:
Pansers in some spots are evil. Evil I say!

SMW:
Megamoles are my mortal enemy.

Okay, I'm done.

Simple, to annoy you. I didn't mind if they keep on summoning themselves, more experience and coins for me.
