For all of us who can't play Tetris DS (don't have it, whatever -- myself included), I present to you SprintGod's work of art:

tetris

(also, you can even watch replays of the games... and I even hold 1st in Death, and Acmlm's in 5th on Normal )

Oh my gosh, I suck at this. I'm much better in GB, though.

I suck.

I suck at Tetris. The Ozma music for the death mode is a nice touch, though. I dig it.

Yeah, I wonder if there are other remixes like this for both Tetris and other games.

(the music is half the reason I played it so much, haha)

Fourth with Hide Next. Not too bad...

I'm also one of the suicidal people that tried Death Mode with Hide Next.

Does hiding the next piece even give you more points?

Also, I tried an old tetris trick where you would move a piece you want a lot of around, as if you're unsure where to put it. This tricks the game into thinking you're not good with that piece. I think it works somewhat, but not always, or well.

Anyone else heard of that trick?

No, but it has a seperate (much smaller) high score list.

Sounds like Generic Game Rumor #2964 to me. Then again, so did the one real Mew trick in Red and Blue...

No, I've read it before:

"Tetris (GB) contains a little-known undocumented 'feature' -- the game keeps track of how many times you rotate each piece, thinking that the more you rotate it, the more problems you have with it, and then gives those pieces out more often.

Of course, you can turn this to your advantage by simply rotating all the long pieces as much as possible before dropping them."

(of course, that isn't this game)

After playing around with it, I've decided it's random. Which sucks, because I'm back to the old problem of never getting what piece I need when I need it, and getting loads of those awful S pieces.

I abused that in GB tetris though. That was easier because levels advanced by line, not by block. It gets fast... well, fast

I played it for a while. I usually do well, until that one block screws me over. Also, I don't like the normal mode music. Too boring. So I played some of my own.

Ok weird...I played it tonight, and there was ONE slider for sound, and a OMG selection for quality. I come back later, and there are TWO sliders, and no OMG selection...

Updated?

That happened to me too. My sound bar also jumped into the playing field

When I clicked on the grey part, it moved near the top. But on a game over and restart, it went back to the bottom of the field

I'm fairly certain some aspects of this (like the extremely quick level system) are lifted from the Tetris: The Grand Master series.

But DAMN is this a great Tetris clone regardless.

I'm 45th on the death mode high score.

Let see if I can get in ten top... that's my ultimate goal.

I had the top score on Normal Mode last night, but it got knocked down to second since then.

But I still have the top score on Normal/Hide Next, so I'm happy. (Not that I'm not happy about second...)
