I feel like getting confused. Post your most puzzling brain-teasers and I'll try and answer them. If they're unsolvable, I'll say why and if they're paradoxes, I'll also explain why.

Try and make them as descriptive as you can, I'll try and find any way around one.

Since this is the actual Brain-Teaser board (it was moved and this is edited), I guess I should be more specific. I'm looking for logic or number-based brain teasers, such as "Brothers and sisters I have none, but this man's father is my father's son." (Answer: "This man" is my son. This one was stolen from The Simpsons.) I'd prefer if they rhymed, too. I want ones where I need to explain a scenario or something. Kinda hard to explain what I'm looking for, but you should be able to find some.

If I'm completely stumped and you're able to answer it after I tell you I can't, then you get a point. First to five points wins!

Give me something on this board that's more common than common. It's something very specific... Or, rather, a type of thing that's quite specific. But you have to remember that it needs to be more common than common. Once you figure it out, it's really not that hard.

Once you do that, can you find five of them?

How about ten? I assure you, they're out there.

EDIT: Oh, yes, also... Once you find it, prove it.

I can't believe I didn't see this. I'm such an idiot.

Well, lemme think... since there's a whole board for them, I'll just request some rhyming ones.

No answer for Grey?

Let's see, there's always the classic rhyming puzzle:

As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits.
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?

Argh, didn't see that. I thought it was a request for something to do with my topic. XD

Hmm... Grey: Yours confuses me too much. It probably has nothing to do with this, but I haven't quite been to the board long enough, so I wouldn't know. Point for you, once you can explain the answer.

NSNick: There is only one going to St. Ives, far as I can tell, and that's you. You never directly said that the man was also going. But, if you need me to do the math...

1 you + 1 man + 7 wives + 49 sacks + 343 cats + 2401 kits = 2802 altogether that are going to St. Ives, unless you accept my other theory above.

(Look at the attached picture)

There's something special about that thermometer. What?

Clue 1:
Spoiler:
Hungry? Visit KFC. Keep two thirds and you might have your clue.

Clue 2:
Spoiler:
The temperature it points at has nothing to do with anything.

Clue 3:
Spoiler:
Leave America and visit Europe

Clue 4:
Spoiler:
Do you remember your trig classes?

Darn this thread, I want to answer the questions!

However...

Three N, three T, and three A to my name
A group no longer extant is to blame
Giant robots remind you
I'm all just a game
Complete destruction
from the minds of canines in grotto
A title overlooked, though
My Core was true power

Who am I?

Smallhacker: *Reads spoiler 4* Trig? Aw, crap... we just started doing that this year in school, and even that was just minimal. Let's see...

It's something about Celsius, that I can tell... but I don't know. Tough one. Though, I did request rhyming ones, but I'll edit the first post so it's more clear. Anyways, tell me and get a point.

Koneko: Also don't quite know this, either.

A riddle from one of my favorite mind books:

Four men sat down to play.
They played all night till break of day.
They played for gold and not for fun,
With seperate scores for everyone.
When they came to square accounts
They all made quite fair amounts.
Can you this paradox explain?
If no one lost, how could all gain?

Well, you see, you're not supposed to just know it. Use the internet and play around with the meanings of the words. Words such as destruction.

I have the answer sitting on my desk. You probably don't.

Zachio: Now, THIS is the kind of thing I've been looking for. Kinda... story-ish things. Anyways, it's not explained WHAT game they were playing. Maybe a mining game, since they were playing for gold? That way, everyone could earn something.
But, since I don't know any mining games, I'll try and think of another solution. I'VE GOT IT! It never once said that they were all playing TOGETHER, it just said they sat down to play, possibly at separate tables. Either answer right? Probably the second one.

Koneko: I give up. What's the answer?

Copied and pasted from Wikipedia and slightly edited:

Suppose there is a town with one barber (who is a man); and that every man in the town keeps himself clean-shaven: some by shaving themselves, some by attending the barber. The barber obeys the following rule: He shaves all and only those men who do not shave themselves.

Does the barber shave himself?

Spoiler:
When I first heard this paradox, my reply to it was "Was the barber's name 'Schrödinger'?", which nobody understood. Three imaginary cookies to the one who can understand what I meant.

Zachio: Perhaps they were at the slot machines?
Smallhacker: Well, the barber cannot shave himself, but then the town wouldn't be all clean-shaven, so he MUST shave himself, but then he would go against his own rules. The best possible solution to the paradox that I can think of is that he either uses some sort of hair-destroying spray, he has a defect that doesn't allow him to grow facial hair, or he shaves himself when he's off-duty.
