| The quarter moon hung high in the night sky with patches of clouds. Giving off a slight glow to illuminate the ground below. A charred and desolate city with a graveyard off to teh northwest edge of town. Xanaphia loved the quiet of this place and sat up on one of the old building rooftops. She was dressed all in black except for the blood red shirt underneath her ankle-length black trench coat. She wasn't even sure if anyone would come to such a deserted town to challenge her. The soft rustle of feathers of a large bird was heard in the distance as it was only her pet raven, Midnight. A slight breeze past by and caused her long raven black hair to flow to the side gently.
"I wonder if anyone will show up." She mused out loud while her blue-grey eyes scanned the area. |

| Star: "These days..."
A very normal man, in comparison to the incredible demonic looking woman, stepped into the graveyard. He didn't really care if Xanaphia noticed if he'd approached or not, he wasn't the type to be sneaky. Star: "...everyone has to look as badass as possible..." Star held his sword pointed towards the ground. There was a crackle of lightning and it began to rain. Star: "...when all it does is make an easier to see target." Star brought his sword up and lightning split the sky. A circle of lightning lit up under him. Star: "Let your speed and strength split the enemy. Seal of Lightning! Break!" The circle under Star broke and reappeared under Xanaphia. Lightning struck from the sky in a short series of bolts to fulfill Star's command. |

| Xana raised a brow when she heard a man in the distance. Even more so when a seal appeared beneath her that seemed to attract the lightening. Before the first bolt struck she slipped into the shadows, disappearing. She stepped out of the shadows, reappearing behind Star.
"That was a close one. Being singed is something I don't like. Also glad someone showed up I was beginning to get bored." |

| Star released electricity from his body to suddenly form a sphere around his body.
Star: "Fast..." Star didn't turn around, even when his orb of electricity faded away, he didn't seem to be doing anything at all, just standing there, exactly how he had been since he last spoke. |

| A slow smirk tugged at her lips.
"You could say that." Xana had a feeling he has mastered lightening techniques which would be rather challenging to dodge all the time. She balled a hand into a fist, brought it up and striked at the small of Star's back. |

| As Xana punched, a circle appeared under Star and her. Unlike the last one, it glowed bright orange and gave off intense heat.
Star: "Open bottomless chasm and let the hell fires spring up! Seal of Flames! Break!" Xana hit Star and it actually pushed him out of the circle. He hit a gravestone and stood up, turning around to see a huge inferno where he just stood. The pillar of fire and smoke reached into the air. Star: "I know that didn't kill you." |

| 'Oh great a magic user of all sorts.' She thought as a new sigil appeared beneath them before hitting him out. As the pillar of fire rose up from the sigil she dove through the flames on the side and rolled a bit to put out any fires that dared to destroy her clothes. Xana stood up, feeling the burning sensation of standing in the fire for a few seconds.
"I haven't really fought a magic user before but that seems a little unfair with someone who doesn't use it." |

| Star: "This isn't magic."
Star jumped onto a gravestone and and held his sword in front of his face. Star: "These are seals I carve into the ground in plain sight. I use only the lightning and the wind to attack." Star leaped off the gravestone and slashed at Xana as he rushed by her. Star: "I don't think you need to know how my attacks work though, you might be able to stop them if you knew after all..." Star landed on another gravestone and waited, with his back turned. |

| Xana arched backwards into a bridge to avoid the slash and stood back up, turning to face Star.
"Meh it's still magic to me even if you use it like alchemy with the sigils on the ground." She dashed forward and lept high in the air to deliver a side kick to Star. |

| Star just stepped off the gravestone, dodging the attack. He spun around, kicking up a strong wind and slash towards Xana, but clearly not going to hit her. The sword cut through the air and sharpened it. A shock wave of sorts was formed that acted like a vacuum, if it hit Xana it could easily cut her open like it was a sword, but if it got near her, any open wound would have the blood sucked painfully out. | |||

| The attack caught Xana by surprise and the shock wave hit Xana, wounding her. She shadow ported away before it could cause more damage. She reappeared near the edge of the graveyard. Regaining her thoughts on what to do now. Her wound already began slowly healing on its own.
"Not bad but let me kick it up a notch." With that said, Xanaphia concentrated and began shifted to her demon form. Wings sprouted from her back with a mix of red and black feathers, her left eye turned completely red and half a coon mask covered that eye. She flexed her wings out before grinning at him. "That's better." The half-breed clenched her hands into fists and took a fighting stance. Waiting for Star's next manuever. |

| Star: "A demon!?"
Star didn't feel like it had the true strength of a demon. A real demon wouldn't seem so human. A bright light enveloped the ground under Star as a seal was carved into the ground. Star: "If you're a demon, I have no reason to not kill you." Star held his sword on his shoulder as lightning began to strike him. Arcs of electricity connected him and the ground. He leaped into the air and a huge bolt of lightning hit him. Star: "Lightning Fury!" Star brought his sword in front of him in a slow swing, as soon as it was straight forward, lightning bolts exploded in it in a multitude of hundreds. While each small lightning bolt was weak, together they were incredibly powerful. |

| Xana leaped into the air taking flight and flapped her wings to gain altitude while feinting left and right to avoid as much of the lightening as possible. Not getting hit wasn't an option with the hundreds of small lightening bolts in the air zooming in her diretion that had been on the ground.
"I dare you to try and kill me." She literally taunted him, which made the raven that took safe haven quite some distance away to watch the fight, wonder why Xana was doing that. The half-breed looked down at Star while contemplating her next move. |

| Star spun his sword in his hand, it started to spin so fast it just looked like a solid ring.
Star: "Blade Ring!" Star hurled the spinning sword at Xana and it flew through the air much like a frisbee caught in a crazy wind. It started off low, actually cutting the top of a gravestone off, before it shot into the air at Xana. Star: "If this demon plans to tire me out. . ." |

| First thing she eliminated was that the sword was spinning too fast for her to calculate to catch it by the hilt. So instead she flew off as if it was like she was flying away but did a sharp turn and decended at a break neck speed at Star, using her shadow porting power to shorten the distace between them and give her a boost of speed as she went to give him a hard hitting tackle. | |||

| Star watched as Xana flew right towards him. He saw his sword chasing after her and knew exactly what to do. He didn't bother moving and right when Xana hit him, he grabbed her shoulders. He was thrown back into a gravestone and he felt something crack. He couldn't get much air, but he knew his plan was working. He had a hold of Xana and his sword was spinning through the air at them. | |||

| Xana quickly flipped them around so Star's back was facing the on coming sword instead of hers.
"Have to think better than that." She said with a malice grin. As if she already knew what he had planned to do and kept ahold of him by his shoulders. |

Star held his hand behind him and the sound of the sword stopped. Star smiled as he flipped the sword in his hand and stabbed at Xana. Star: "Your only real way out was to run." Star knew that even if Xana managed to dodge at such a close range, she'd think twice about trying to attack so close without having a way out. Star: "When you make a weapon yourself, you know exactly how it's going to act." |

| Xana clenched her teeth together as the sword embedded into her. It was too close of a range to dodge the attack.
"Yeah so I've noticed." She picked up her left foot and pressed it against Star's mid-section, shoving him back away. |

| Star didn't resist it as he pulled the sword from Xana.
Star: "You're a demon though, this is just a scratch." Star held the blade in the air and the blood on the sword started to sizzle. It caught flame suddenly and burned away. Star: "You always have to worry about infections though, regardless." A seal of Star's sword shined dully, it glowed heavenly white. He knew that Xana wouldn't have to worry about it unless he managed to keep the sword touching her blood for at least a full minute. Purification from a weapon was incredibly slow compared to someone applying it directly to a demon. |
