I was brainstorming to myself and wondering what would be a good idea for a SMW hack that I have not seen before.

How does an ninja hack sound.

You obviously play a ninja against yokai and other supernatural beings. In the falling animation, I will make the main character stab downwards so that you'd stab the enemy instead of jumping on it.

I just need some more ideas. what should I make the fireball into. I do not know anything about ASM, so I cannot make ninja stars. But I haven't thought of what the main character should look like. Should I stick to the female roles that I have done? Or should a guy do the job?

Just an idea. If enough people like it, then I will start on it.

Actually, you should change the fireball to be a Shruiken, and make it so that it goes straight. It just takes a couple of hex code changes (specifically, change 80C5 to 00). As for the hack, it sounds reasonable enough. Go ahead and try to make it if you want. Who knows, it might turn out well.

I think it's a great idea! You could change around the little triangular "run up the wall" block so it blends in with the walls better, and Mario would look as if he were actually running up it, ninja-style.

The ninja concept sounds like a great idea. Also, thanks for letting me continue the Super Mario Land remake hack for you, But I'm wondering, what ever happend to the Super Maria Sisters Hack? I was looking real forward to it.

Nothing is final, but I lost motivation on the Maria hack after that rediculous arguement that was in the thread.

Perhapse I might want to do something more fresh than an mario-like hack in the mario world. I will fiddle around with this hack. I am better at graphics than level making, so don't expect a final release.
I might finish Maria's sprites and release a very short demo.

I'm the opposite of you sgraff, I not good at graphic editing, but I'm awesome at level making; if you ever want to join forces let me know; I would like to work with you. Remember the Princess Peach graphics you gave me last year; those were awesome. I could help you with Super Maria Sisters or if you want to start fresh I'll do that too. Just let me know

open a hex editor, go to the adress, then overwrite the original byte, also if you want them to go faster

I dont think I have ever been this sad about something like this before. PLEASE dont give up on Super Maria Sisters! You had a lot of people really looking forward to your hack. I'll see what I have to do.

I have to finish Maria's sprites. A I mentioned.
I also have to work on the Goomba sprites as well.

Any hex codes that could enhance anything? I just learned how to use the program.

Heh ? Was that the one that occured because of me, or did something happen afterward ?

Anyway...
No matter how good you may be, your talent is wasted and your stuff is worthless if you don't finish anything. And if you discontinue (or even simply keep on hold) your projects because of trivial forum arguments, either you're way too sensitive and care too much, or you weren't all that motivated in the first place... Whatever.
On the bright side, your ninja idea sounds great... Except hacking SMW all the time must be boring... At least it's quite boring to play most SMW hacks.
