| I hate people like this. My idiot neighbor sitting right next to me in first period claims that NIntendo sucks because they don't make enough violent games, and the graphics aren't as hot. I fucking hate people like this. "No one will buy the Revolution because it will suck and the controller sucks and blah blah blah". We, the gamers, know that Nintendo is a powerhouse and will fare quite well on the gaming batlefield. Right guys? | |||

| Yes. Hopefully.
I'm not really excited about the Revolution but that is due to my own tastes. The Rev will fare well because aside from having a long standing fan base they going the extra step in certain areas. Backwards compatability? Sure. But this time from the NES/SNES/64 era. The time period where games simply kicked ass. Innovation? Yep. Just look at the controller. Strange looking at first but you have to admit, everyone is curious to handle it at least once even if you are not going to buy the system. Misc They will price the Rev most likely below the more expensive 360/PS3 so casual people have a system to enjoy. Nintendo will do fine, just as long as they don't release Superman 64 again. |

| Nintendo has something that no other game developer has: spirit. Nintendo is the master of the gaming industry, they have some of the best games on the market, and they're extremely creative. They also created the most games AND they're their own producer as well.
Just because the graphics aren't as good does NOT mean that Nintendo sucks. |

Defend the old retro foundation Nintendo has set, but don't get too worked up about something you haven't yet tried. I agree though, he's a lamer for saying that Nintendo (assuming this was a general statement) sucks. He needs a boot up his ass but don't get in trouble over it.  |

| Well, Zem, name one noticeable new thing Microsoft's trying with the Xbox 360. I don't exactly think 'innovative' is a good word to describe it. I am going to be getting them eventually, but it seems like Xbox 360 and PS3 aren't offering much in the way of new things so much as they're upgrading what we already have.
You should've knocked him over the head (preferably with an NES or Atari controller) the second he used graphics as an excuse. I hate people like that. |

| Well, it's kinda hard to offer backwards combitality when the newer platform is kinda diffrent from the old one. It have to be emulated, or to be included in the system. That's how PS games works on a PS2 apparently, there is a PS chip inbuilt or something.
And same with GBA and Gameboy games.
Meh, I could blame SEGA for starting that crap back in the days. But some of the old SEGA games are funny, since they bash Nintendo in funny way. xD (edited by Ailure on 11-22-05 04:36 PM) |

| Thats because GCN has better graphics capabilities than PS2. Only problem is, the way its encoded was so complex some third party companies didnt make games for the GCN. Thats why there were some just on the PS2 and the XBOX. | |||

| Well im not interested in the 360 because the only game coming out for it in the near future that I want will be on the PC too and my old xbox serves its purpose just fine. It runs my emulators on the TV
I will eventually get both the PS3 and the Revolution but which one I buy first depends on the launch lineup of both systems (And maybe date depending on how far apart the releases are). I am really looking forward to trying that controller with games like Metroid Prime and am also curious how this will change games like Zelda and Mario. |
