Super Mario War is a Super Mario Deathmatch game.
The goal is to stomp as many other Marios as possible to win the game.
It's a tribute to Nintendo and "Mario War by Samuele Poletto".

Features:
- Up to four players deathmatch fun
- Hilarious unreal tournament announcers (m m m monsterkill)
- Comes with the leveleditor - you can create your own maps
- The whole source code of the game is available
- Based on the jnrdev #2 tutorial example
- uses SDL+SDL_Mixer and is fully portable to windows, linux, ...

They have music downloads on the front page of the site. It has various Mario and other NES music.

Uh... None of this is mine. I am just sharing this game with you guys.
I don't know where you got the idea that I stole an idea or I created this.

I am working on a graphic update for the program as seen in my screenshots if that is what you are talking about. The dreamcast version should be the same as the PC version as well. They have an XBOX version also.

I love this game. Oh, I have so much to give you guys.

For starters: MFGG's Super Mario War topic. This has the work of so lots of people's add-ons, including a M&LPiT music set.

Second: Super-Duper Peardian Pack version something. A giant collection of all my stuff, minus the console maps. It contains:
  • Shroob 1-Up (1uppowerup) - This is the 1-Up Mushroom used by Shroob Intern.
  • Aquadian w/out hair (aquadian) - My brother's character, minus the long hair. Basically a recolor of Zero.
  • Aquadian w/ hair (Aquadian) - Updated version with hair.
  • Castle Sewers BG (bg1) - Background from Peach's Castle Sewers (Present). Replaces SMB3-style dungeon bg.
  • Koopaseum BG (bg2) - Background of the Koopaseum in Gritzy Desert. Replaces SMB3-style pyramid bg.
  • Yoob's Belly BG (bg3) - Background of the inside of Yoob. Replaces SMW-style ghost house bg.
  • Hollijolli Village BG (bg8) - Background of Hollijolli Village. Replaces SMB3-style snowy background.

  • Dead Shrooblet (2) (goombadeadflying) - Use this with Shrooblet.
  • Grim Leecher skin (GrimLeecher) - Skin of the obscure enemy from Yoshi's Island.
  • Gritzy Desert (gritzy desert.map) - Map based on Gritzy Desert.

Mine works kinda slow, but it makes it like a KungFu movie . The comps work pretty well, but mainly for the ones where you have to kill players and stuff, but not so well other wise... I wish theyd make this game for like GBA. That'd be really cool.
