Here's a couple of screenies for my wild odd-ball idea for making a NES GFX SMW hack; the levels are not going to be set up this way, I'm just showing my work thus far... Before I continue this wierd version of SMW I need to know if it would be stupid to go ahead and use the NES verion of Mario from SMB3 because the one for SMB1 will not work; there's to many frames for SMB1 mario.

As you can see I've made the "NES" Yoshi. What do you think of this odd-ball idea guys?

Not stupid at all.

In fact, those graphics look pretty sweet...do you have the Goomba-stomp graphic done yet? Also, I love the koopa, they look spiffy Good work.

This is like what Peter_ac did with upgrading GFX for SMW; i'm doing just the opposite, so the goombas will still be the same. I was inspired by Paper Mario 2: TTYD when you got toward the end and you went behind the curtain, and when you paused the game you could see nes versions of your partners it was cool; so I thought we could make this the same way. (Yoshi in NES format? Cool!)

As for the ground should I use the classic SMB1 ground? (I think I should)

Or maybe an nes version of SMW Mario to fit the Yoshi Style.

I'm going to kill off the black outline that outlines Mario, and make it more like SMB1 mario colors, but still with the SMB3 body. In SMB1 there's no black outline, and I want it to look like SMB1 as much as possible; later I'll show you guys two different ideas for yoshi.

SoNotNormal, did you use to do that or some another member who tried to make all SMW NES Graphical Sprites.
